“Morning my love.”

Lacy smiled at the sound of the husky baritone voice currently nuzzling her neck and quickly making his way up her jaw.

The Dark Witch turned right before he could make contact with her lips, a soft chuckle escaping her at the confused look on his face, “Morning, mate,” She whispered in the pillows, laughing all over again when he flipped her to face him and tried again.

This time, her hand stopped their k**s.

“Come on, Lace, don’t you want to k**s me good morning?”

“No.” She giggled, finding his amused-trying-to-be-serious face even more hilarious as it forced her to amend her earlier statement, her hand still on her mouth and nose, “What I mean is yeah, but not with morning breath, no,”

“Lyken’s don’t have morning breath, Lacy” He pointed out. “Yeah, well, I wasn’t talking about you, I was referring to myself.” She raised her chin haughtily at him, trying to push him off so she’d go brush her teeth, but he’d have none of it, he only tugged her closer to him, pulling her so they were both lying on their sides, facing each other.

“When I tell you that you belong to me, and I to you, Lacy, I mean it in every sense of the word, morning breath included.” He whispered earnestly, huskily, “Now, am I going to get that k**s I’ve been wanting since I woke up, or do I need to tickle you to get it?” He raised an eyebrow, smirking, his right-hand wiggling in the air, confirming that he was all business.

But Lacy just had to try her luck, she scooted out of the bed in record speed, a feat that had certainly been made possible with her nouvelle powers, but it seemed that she had forgotten that her mate was supernatural too,

For he caught her in a flash, throwing her over his shoulder and smacking her a*s lightly right before he tossed her across the bed, straddling her, his hands going up to lift hers above her head.

“There’s nowhere to run, Lace, now give me that k**s I deserve,” He kissed her clavicle, and then kissed her jaw, pulling back to stare into her eyes, his bulky arms flexing at the activity.

“You’re so beautiful, Lacy…” He smiled, his cheeks pink with a hint of a blush, “You know, the mate bond might not have been there initially, but I think I fell for you the first time we met, when I wielded that dagger in my hand and I heard your scream only to look into these same lovely green eyes.”

He chuckled in remembrance, “You were so scared of me back then, and I wanted nothing more than to make it right, somehow making matters even worse.”

Lacy laughed as she recalled how scary it had all been back then, “Remember the s*x slave thing?”

Lacy pressed a hand against his lips, her eyes shining with so much love, “Shh, it’s all in the past, my love,” She smiled softly, “I guess if we’re coming out, I was also not completely innocent either, I did do some stupid things after all.” She admitted.

“I really am sorry, Lacy… for all the s**t I put you through.” He told her seriously, “I don’t think I ever genuinely apologized, and I just wanted to put it out there—”

Lacy kissed him, cutting off his apology, a soft sigh of contentment leaving her lips as he slightly leaned into her, his weight crushing her deliciously as her fingernails clawed at his back, silently begging for more.

It was really a wonder that she wasn’t sore, for they had been going at it all night.

“Lobo just mind linked me,” He informed her, “Two agents from the Supernatural Council are here,” The Alpha King tossed the bedsheet to the ground roughly, his jaw clenching strongly as he tried to control his anger, “Apparently, you and I both have been summoned to the Supernatural Council Headquarters.”
