Chapter 86

A burst of colorful magic announced the arrival of an intruder into the private island, the very skies shifting and swirling in acknowledgment of her mere presence.

She was a fae.

A flower fae to be exact.

The Dark Queen, always on guard for any potential threats to her person and her kingdom jumped up with a start, ready to go off at the strange intruder that had dared pop into their closed-off bubble, but Reed’s steady hand reached out to grasp hers, his lips curving up in a wry smile. “Relax, my love,” he murmured, his voice warm and soothing. “She’s just the one who’s going to be officiating our mating ceremony tonight.”

As the realization sank in, the Queen felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment.

Oh.

“Your Eminence,” The flower fae curtsied at her Queen when she finally touched down on the ground. She straightened, bowing her head at Reed, “Alpha King Winchester, it is an honor to be before you two this evening. I am Eilish. Shall we get started please? I’ll need you two to come with me.” She beseeched them.

The Dark Queen felt a rush of excitement course through her veins, for she had eagerly been anticipating this from the moment Reed had proposed to her, wondering how he was going to spring it all on her,

And now that the time was finally here, she was stunned, as usual.

She relaxed as her mate had asked her to, feeling her muscles stretch and flex with each step she took.

“Would you want our people to watch the mateship ceremony?” Reed whispered to her softly as they followed the fae.

Lacy processed the question, and then without hesitation, she answered, “Yes. That would make me very happy.”

“Alright. Though I have to warn you that it may be a tad uncomfortable.”

But Lacy had read about all of that, and with the number of years she had spent in the Supernatural World, nothing really made her nervous anymore.

She could do this.

But she had one question, “Will my family be watching as well?”

Reed laughed, completely understanding the way she felt, “They, and Anaya as well wisely declined the offer, and in good faith too Lace, because f**k, the things I’m going to do to you tonight… I’m pretty sure they’d gauge their eyes out if they caught even a glimpse.”

A light blush was the only reply she gave him, and then mini faeries were bursting out of Eilish, grabbing her away from her mate, another set dragging him away too.

She panicked.

“Relax, my Queen,” The Flower Faerie’s gentle, soothing voice came out of the little faeries who reminded her of Tinkerbelle, “We’re just going to get you ready for your big night.”

At that, she instantly relaxed.

The little faeries were relentless, doing everything all at once, tugging at her hair, working on her nails… and they were swift too, finishing it all up in thirty minutes.

Lacy’s breath caught in her throat when she emerged from the makeshift room, allowing the Faeries lead her to her mate, who looked delicious in a flowery loincloth of sorts, his sexy abs and muscled thighs and legs on full display.

His hair was slicked back with some gel of sorts, and gods, his tattoos just had her mouthwatering.

He looked so powerful, like an ancient warrior, ready to fight to the death for her love, only this warrior already had her love.

He was simply magical.

It seemed she had the same effect on him as well, and why wouldn’t she?

Reed just couldn’t keep his eyes off of his mate.

She was wearing a very simple, flowing dress made of the finest silk, intricately woven with flowers that matched his loincloth,

And her hair was pinned up in an elaborate braid and beautifully decorated with lots of flowers.

Hand in hand, they followed the flower fae through the lush gardens of the private island, marveling at the exotic flora and fauna that surrounded them, seemingly following them, as though they wanted to be the only witnesses to their union.

The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of birds singing in the trees, and the sky still continued it’s strange, yet fascinating toggle between day and night.

As they walked, the flower fae explained the intricacies of the mating ceremony.

“The Mateship Ceremony among high profile Supernaturals like yourself is a much more complex ritual that involved a number of different steps, each one designed to strengthen the bond between you, my Dark Queen and your Alpha King.” She explained, “All five realms are tuned in to this union, but children have been exempted, and both of your families have opted to tune out as well.”

Reed listened intently, nodding in agreement as the flower fae spoke. He already had a fair idea about the entire process, having almost mated with Rieka.

But for the Dark Queen, this was her first time, and he wanted everything to be perfect for her.

She had married Lucius, sure… but Werewolves had a totally different ritual, and so this was all to make sure that she was totally comfortable.

The Alpha King snapped out of his thoughts when they finally came to a stop at a clearing in the center of the garden.

In the middle of the clearing was a beautiful flower arch, woven together from the petals of a hundred different flowers, the wild waves billowing in the distance.

It was a perfect spot.

“Stand beneath the Arch for me please,” Eilish motioned, the Dark Queen and Alpha King doing as she had asked.

She sighed deeply and closed her eyes, and then she began to chant in a language that the Alpha King and the Dark Queen didn’t understand.

The air around them began to shimmer and glow, and the petals of the flower arch rustled in the gentle breeze.

“All your forms have to join in on this union, my Queen,” Eilish whispered, “We call upon your vampiric side first,”

She blew a powdery mist Lacy was convinced was pollen into her nostrils, and the Dark Queen felt her eyes roll back, red, glowy eyes replacing the light blue ones.

Lacy followed her instincts, which told her to reach for her mate’s hand and bite down on his wrist, the action someway somehow drawing out Ace, who in his excitement forcefully took over Reed, but he kept his human half’s body. “Hurry the f**k up, or you’ll do this ceremony another time.” He growled wildly at Eilish, “I am done waiting, I want to see my mate now.” He declared stubbornly, his red eyes shining at the fear in the Flower Fae’s eyes.

He took a step, and then another, and then he grabbed Vampire Lacy hurriedly, captured her lips roughly and kissed her, his roughness goading her on, making her wildly tear at his lips.

He pulled back, his lips bloody, Lacy’s own lips stained with his red liquid, even as her chest heaved and she licked his very essence of her lips.

The Lyken wolf smirked in satisfaction, the fact that he had left her as hot and as bothered as he was filling him with satisfaction. “See you soon, mate… the next time, it’ll be your teeth on my neck as you mark me.” He licked the b***d off his completely healed lips with a sexy grin, and then handed he handed control back to Reed, glowy red eyes changing back into a calm blue.

Eilish went through the rest of the process in a rush before the Alpha King could even apologise, afraid that the beast would make a reappearance and hurt her in his irritation.

All of Lacy’s forms were tied to her mate, and then after some more incantations in the mysterious language, it was all over.

“It is done. I now pronounce you husband and wife.” Eilish smiled, brightly at them, her fingers snapping, allowing them to briefly catch the loud applause and cheers and screams of joy that had filled the entire kingdom.

Lacy was touched by all the love.

She had made the best decision sharing what was supposed to be a private moment with her people.

“You are now officially mated.” Eilish informed them, after restoring the silence with another snap, “May your bond be strong and everlasting.”

Lacy and Reed looked at each other, and then they both burst out laughing as they wrapped their arms around each other, laughing both at Ace’s craziness, and the fact that the moment they had finally been waiting for was finally done and dusted.

She was his wife, and he was her husband, and it felt so good to say that.

As they embraced, the flower fae began to sing, her voice filling the air with a sweet, melodic tune.

The birds in the trees joined in, their chirping voices blending together with the fae’s song, the fauna in the garden closed in on them, mesmerized by the tune.

Lacy felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes.

She had never felt so happy… never felt so alive, as she did in that moment.

She looked up at Reed, and saw that his eyes had filled with tears too, his face filled with emotion too strong to describe.

And as Eilish continued to sing, they were suddenly lifted into the air, their bodies surrounded by a warm, golden light.

The flower fae’s song grew louder and more powerful, and the wind picked up, swirling around them in a joyful, romantic dance.

The Dark Queen and The Alpha King looked at each other as they swayed, and then under the watchful gaze of the curious animals and the singing fae,

They kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

As the ceremony came to an end, the flower fae bowed deeply to the Dark Queen and her mate. “May your love always be as beautiful as the flowers that surround us,” She blessed them, and then she disappeared into the night, leaving a poof of flowers in her wake.

The Dark Queen smiled at her husband, feeling as though her heart would burst with joy. “Thank you, Reed,” she said. “Thank you for making this the most magical night of my life.”

But her mate couldn’t respond, he was heaving, sweating uncontrollably.

Lacy was worried at first,

And then confused next…

But she quickly caught the same symptoms,

And then all of a sudden it dawned on her…

This was the moment she mated and marked her husband with her entire kingdom watching!
