Chapter 107

Gabi’s POV

B***d Rose pack

“I don’t think that it is fair to ask them to do that, Sloan. You haven’t even proven that they did anything wrong yet” The woman with Jennifer said. I watched her as she looked at Jennifer who had now gone completely pale at Sloan’s suggestion.

“Anyone could have done anything to that drink before we got here. It could just be Sloan trying to do away with her competition by setting them both up. Anna has not admitted that she, or Jennifer, has done anything wrong here. Unless I see proof, I will not believe this” Anna’s mother adds to the drama with her nonsensical comment.

“I think that what she has asked them to do, is fair. These girls both had evil intentions, for the pettiest of reasons, and they got caught carrying them out. Now they want to cry foul because they have been found out. It is laughable that you 6 think that just because YOU were not aware of it, we were actually aware of your daughter’s plans. Sloan’s family figured it out when we did the head count and found the three girls had flirted their way out of the pack. I would hasten to add that they need to think very carefully about fingerprints on the evidence, there is a reason that the men that searched Anna used gloves on their hands. The evidence has been bagged, and I am quite sure that a few fingerprints will be found on it. I also want to remind Jennifer that although Anna had the bottles in her possession, she was still a part of it. Since you didn’t think to confess, like Carrie did, to stop Sloan from drinking it. You chose to be an accessory to this disgusting crime, you could have done the right thing, but you made a decision not to. Instead, you helped Anna try to try to carry her away after knocking her out to keep Carrie quiet. I wonder Jennifer if you and Anna had managed to get Carrie out of here, would have stood by and watched her kill Carrie with the poison too? Or do you think that Anna wouldn’t have taken that opportunity to take you out in the same way? For Anna to get rid of all the people that could tell her secret? Plus, what do you mean that Sloan would want to get rid of her competition? My twins are both 20 years old. They could sense their mates at 18. You both know that neither of you was their mate or Greyson’s” I said to them. I am really angry at their actions and behavior. I can see the concern of what I had just said to them was accurate, as Jennifer paled even more and then looked over at Anna who was trying to look as innocent as possible.

“Would you have killed me too, after helping you?” Jennifer asked looking at Anna in surprise. Anna said, “Shut the hell up, Jennifer. We didn’t do anything wrong, so we don’t have to worry about anything. We will get a fair shake here. They will have to contact the Council to carry this any further. They don’t have anything on us. I don’t know those men who searched me, and I bet they are the ones who planted whatever was in those vials on me. I have never even seen them before, so I have no idea what is in them” Anna said, trying to lead Jennifer into calming down and not messing everything up after she realized that Anna could have tried to kill her too. Jennifer straightened up and closed her mouth. She had figured out what Anna was saying to her and decided to keep her mouth shut about it. I could tell that Anna was glad about Jennifer clamming up, and I was fuming about it, but I don’t want to tell them that it is over with for them. I want them to tell numerous lies, and makeup as much as they could, because the eyewitnesses, the videos, and the audio recordings would tell the truth, even if Anna and Jennifer wouldn’t. I wanted this to all play out at the trial, with audio, because when we do get there, I want their admission of guilt to be shown to the jury, along with the proof of their actions. We have plenty of time to get this done. Tanner squeezed my hand, and I knew he was going to take over for a minute. He knew that I was mad enough to jump on those girls’ mothers and work my anger out on them both.

“I have something that I would like to discuss. Are you all not aware of our pack rules?” Tanner asked the six of them. “You all knew that they had left the pack shortly after the attack happened the other day. What is the pack rule on that? We mentioned it to the parents when we notified you, that all three of the girls left the pack without authorization. All of you thought that it was OK for them to just disregard the pack rules, and leave, for a nonsense reason. The pack rules are in place for a reason. To protect the pack and keep our members safe. Only in an emergency as we had two days ago, would the need arise for someone to leave this pack while we are at war. To clarify, when lives are in danger, IS an emergency. Needing a new pair of jeans is NOT. None of you even had a thought as to why they may have left the pack, I will tell you that obviously, it was for nefarious reasons. After what happened the night before, I am truly surprised that you wouldn’t have doubts as to the reason why they left. After Anna announced to the whole pack that she was friends with Brandi, and Brandi was one of the two that attacked our pack. Let me guess, you thought that they were truly out shopping? When someone literally brought war to our gate? Right after what happened at the town hall? Is this not coming to you as suspicious? Everyone knows the rules, there is no “Unless you really want to” included in the rule. Instead of keeping it safe, they decided that they would try to kill my son’s true mate. What part of this is aligned with our pack values?” Tanner asked them, he was angry, and they flinched away from his steady gaze.

“They are young innocent girls, they didn’t realize the danger that they put themselves in Alpha. Please give them another chance” Anna’s dad answered Tanner.

“Innocent? These two? Are you speaking about Anna and Jennifer? You are incorrect. No one works more deals in this pack than them. They do what they want here, and they are far from innocent anymore. Just because you chose to bury your head in the sand over their actions, doesn’t make them innocent. Let me ask you this Robert? If they had been killed outside of the pack after the attack, who would you have blamed for it? Them, or me? I already know the answer, as you do. We could have lost pack members having to go out and search for them when they had an agenda that they were trying to get done. The reason for the rules is to keep you all safe, that is my responsibility. I won’t waver my rules because some spoiled girls had evil intentions.” Tanner told the group. At least Robert had the guilt to show that he was embarrassed, with his ears turning red to show that he would have indeed blamed Tanner and me if something had happened to them.

“I am sure that this is just a big misunderstanding here Alpha. I think that if we can just sit down and discuss it, the girls can tell us that this was all just an innocent mistake. They don’t even know Sloan, to already have a problem with her yet. Sloan just got here, and for the last few days, no one has even seen her. I just can’t believe that my daughter would do something like this, for no reason” Robert said to us and wrapped his arm around Anna. He probably thought he was comforting her, but she rolled her eyes at his comment. She must do that a lot, as it is clear that she has no respect for him trying to defend her. She is their only child, and I know that they want to protect her, but she made a choice, and she will have to be punished for it.

“Robert, were you not at the town hall? I am thinking that we need to implement new rules in the pack. We will deal with that later. Anna verbally attacked Sloan despite “not knowing her” Robert. Why would she do that? To someone that she really didn’t know. I mean we all know the answer” Tanner said and then motioned around the room. I see movement at the entrance to the dining room and see Gavin, Amanda, and Greyson standing there. I watched Jennifer’s eyes light up at seeing him, and I know that she was thinking that he was there to rescue her, but he wasn’t.

“Greyson, please tell them that I am a good person and that I wouldn’t hurt Sloan” Jennifer cried out to him.

“I don’t even know you, I know your name, but unless it is over something in training, I have never spoken to you other than about training. How can I vouch for you when I don’t even know you? We are only pack mates, not friends, and definitely not mates. You already know that we are not mates, and I have asked you to leave me alone several times. You need to stop preventing the she-wolves of this pack from being able to approach me and get instruction on training. It is part of my job to train our pack members how to fight, and protect themselves. It is the reason that I helped you, and I would help them too, except you keep causing problems. You keep lying and telling people that we are chosen mates. Get this straight for the last time, we are not. I will be waiting on my true mate, and then claim her. I will not be claiming you, I will not take a chosen, over my true mate” Greyson said in a strong voice, and Jennifer started crying.

“Anna, you said that you could get him to accept me. We didn’t get it done, and I will lose him forever. This is all your fault. You made me and Carrie help you when we didn’t want to. I am going to kill you for ruining my chance with Greyson” Jennifer sobbed out the words at first, and then as if what he said to her really sank in, she growled out the threat to Anna.

“Jennifer, just shut up. We can discuss this later on in the cell. Just shut your mouth, right now, or I will shut it for you” Anna said back, and she is having a hard time trying to look innocent right now, as she just threatened Jennifer.

“Actually, we won’t need to question either of you. We will go and question Carrie, on video, and she will probably be the only one whose life is spared from attempting to kill Sloan, but we will need to hear what she say’s to us first. We don’t actually need either of you to tell us anything else, because we can’t believe the words that you say. You are both very good liars, and I think that we are done here” I told them, and they both lost a little of their bravado.

“I have already asked my men when we stopped at my pack to get four warriors ready to come here and pick them up. They were parked a mile away, for the last 20 minutes. Tanner, can you please let the gate guards know to let them in so they can transport these two back to Royal Knight to await their trial” King Sebastian said to the group. Anna and Jennifer started crying even harder, and both sets of parents started demanding that the Werewolf Council be called as their daughters deserved to be defended against their charges since we were not going to protect their daughters over a misunderstanding.

“We are already here” Council member Teresa Phillips stepped forward and said. Leader Anthony Miller stepped up next to her, and the girls continued to cry pitifully. I can barely keep the smirk off my face at the stunned expressions on both sets of parents’ faces. They really believed that their girls had done nothing wrong. But the fact that the Alpha King and two members of the Council were already here, including the Leader of the Council, they knew differently now.

“What have you done?” Anna’s mother whispered in fear.

“What they have done will be documented in their trial. I will tell you that you go ahead and try to get a defense attorney for them. But after they see all the evidence against them, I don’t know if anyone will take the case, especially Anna. She was the ringleader, and she made the choice to do this, and conned the other two into helping her. I am afraid that they will be no way to win this case as even though the Luna ceremony has not taken place Sloan had been announced to the pack. She is Dawson’s true mate and had already been completely claimed by Dawson. There is no room for confusion, as since we have suspected for two days that these girls may try to kill the soon-to-be Luna, they prepared for it” Leader Miller told the parents, and the girls stopped crying to listen to what he was saying to them.

“What do you mean prepared for it?” Robert asked Leader Miller.

“It won’t matter that I tell you this at this point. We came, along with King Sebastian, to witness the girls attempting to kill Sloan. We got here before them and were in the office watching this be executed live when this occurred. We will all be able to speak on it, as we watched Anna use two droppers full of whatever is in each vial. Now she may not have known exactly what was in it, but she put a total of four droppers full of those liquids into that drink over there. My Council member here, Teresa Phillips, used her own phone to record them at the drink station. Both the Alpha King and I watched her put the liquid in the glass and take the same glass to give to Sloan. Additionally, Even though we all three can vouch for seeing her do that and will testify to it to the rest of the Council. Due to the nature of this crime, Tanner and Gabi had several cameras installed in the dining room. There is even a plaque on the entrance to the packhouse, and another one on the back door at the Kitchen notifying anyone that enters this packhouse that they could be recorded. They have been up for two days, with photos taken after installation to document that. Nothing was left to chance, this had been planned out after we suspected that they may be able to harm Sloan. So, everything is noted, and complete, we do not need them to confess. We can prove she dosed the drink, and that no one else put anything into the drink before it was tested by the man who works for the Council and is noted as an expert in the field. They don’t have to say a word, it is already done” Leader miller said in a calm tone, but I can see the anger in his eyes. He still cannot believe that these girls tried to kill Sloan.

It is silent for a few minutes before Anna cried out, “It was Brandi, Sloan’s s sister who forced us to do this.”

Jennifer nodded in agreement and said, “Yes, she made us.”

“Stop, stop, talking right now. No one forced you to do this, you chose to do this because of your desire to take someone else’s mates. You both wanted wolves that did not belong to you and were willing to kill to do that. Jennifer, did you once think of how Greyson would feel at being forced to take you, and then finding his true mate? How would she have felt about it? You too are greedy and spoiled. Even after you heard that Sloan was pregnant with the heir to the pack, only Carrie decided that the cost was too high. She will be the only one to survive this because she warned Sloan not to drink it. You knocked her out for warning Sloan, Anna. Jennifer was in it with you, until the end. But I will not allow you to slip through and escape justice. You almost killed both my daughter in Law and my grand-pup, and for that, I will never allow you to get away with it” Tanner said.

Now Anna’s and Jennifer’s parents are crying pretty hard, along with their daughters. They thought that they would have a chance for their daughters to dodge the punishment. But after hearing what Leader Miller and Tanner just told them they know that there is no chance for that happening anymore. They now know that the reason that no one will take their defense up, is that there will be no doubt about it. It is all documented and tied up with a bow for the trial. I don’t feel bad for them at all.

“Um, actually you need to change that to grand pups, plural. My wolf, Lenora, just told me that the surprise that she had for me, was that we are having twins” Sloan said into the room, and it exploded in cheers and joy from us. Anna was furious, and Jennifer just looked ashamed, but I was ecstatic. I will be getting two babies from Sloan. My heart is exploding with happiness and Tanner grabs me and swings me around upon hearing the good news. I cannot explain how happy this makes me, and I just cannot wait to get to meet them. All the stress of Anna, and Jennifer, rolls off of me, as the four Royal Knight warriors enter to take Anna and Jennifer to the Royal Knight pack to await their trial. It is going to be busy very soon, but I will be there to protect my family, and go to each one, to see that justice is carried out.

“Wait, wait, I can still help you I still have Brandi’s number, if I can get her to meet me, will that help lessen the charges against me?” Anna calls over her should as she resists, fighting against being taken by the men trying to escort her to the vehicle.

“No need, we have already figured out how to get a hold of Brandi, we don’t need you, for anything,” I told her, and we could hear her screaming as she was taken to the waiting SUV. Now we have to put the second part in motion and get that ball rolling, but first, we need to prepare for Luna Meghan’s arrival.
