"We are fine." Jordy's tone was softer than when he spoke to Gloria,

Gloria raised her eyebrows and continued eating.

Jordy cast Gloria a look of threat and continued, "I am having dinner. Take care of yourself and don't worry about those useless people." Gloria rolled her eyes to air her silent disapproval.

The doubt haunting Angela did not get dispelled. She made up her mind secretly that she would have her men look into it. She took a breath and pretended to buy his words. She smiled at Jordy, saying, "Well, Bon appetite. I will talk to you later." "Sure." Jordy' voice seemed softer than it had just been, but... his eyes seemed more sinister when he saw Gloria's indifference.
