Chapter 364 Gloria, That's Not Nice of You

After Jordy hung up, the silence was restored in the dining room. Gloria found her food to taste better somehow.

To be honest, the food was delicious,

Jordy, on the contrary, had his appetite spoiled. He felt a pang of anger. And he had no idea where did it come from.

He suddenly put down his fork, making the atmosphere of the room unusually gloomy.

Gloria, however, did not seem to be influenced by it at all.

She was used to his capriciousness.

Jordy looked at her coldly, trying to vent his anger at her. But he saw no fault in her.

Gloria's lips twitched as she said, "I did not mean to sow discord between you and her. I just could not help it..."

Angela's lame performance was to blame.

Angela used to adopt an air of selflessness and grace.

But now Gloria thought Angela was more like a noble lady.

And she had gone further and further on this way.

Gloria would like to see when Angela broke down, fell apart and failed to keep her noble pretence someday.

What would Jordy's reaction be like? Would he regret what he did?

Jordy sniffed and said nothing.

But the irony in his eyes showed that he didn't believe a word she said.

Gloria raised an eyebrow and said, "If you don't believe me, I'm not going to explain."

Jordy's eyes went darker.

Gloria soon finished her meal and smiled at the man in front of her. "Enjoy your meal, Mr. Collins. I need to wash up."

Jordy had long since lost his appetite. If he kept dining together with this woman, he would explode sooner or later.

He hadn't realized that Gloria could do this before.

Gloria's cell phone started ringing all of a sudden. She was surprised to see the caller ID on it, but after a moment of hesitation, she put it through. "Mr. Brown," she greeted him.

As she spoke, she got up and went in the direction of the bedroom.

Jordy was even sullener, which made the atmosphere of the dining room eerily gloomy!

Even Gloria could feel it when she got into the bedroom and closed the door behind her.

"How are you doing lately?" on the other end of the call, he sounded relaxed, although there was a hint of concern in his voice.

Gloria, her eyes twitching, responded as calmly as usual, "I'm fine, thanks for your concern, Mr. Brown."

Jonathan sighed somewhat helplessly and asked, "Why do you act so aloof and detached even till now?"

Gloria laughed and soon changed the subject breezily, "Anything else I can do for you, Mr. Brown?"

"Yes."

'What is it?" Gloria thought Jonathan might need her help.

But what he said surprised her.

"I miss you."

Gloria fell into silence.

Her mouth twitched after a moment of hesitation. She then said sarcastically, "Mr. Brown, are you hitting on me? Because it sounds a bit improper."

"When will you accept me?"

Jordy was right outside the door!

Gloria's voice could be heard as the door was not so soundproof!

He could have imagined what he was talking about without hearing his voice!

For a moment, Jordy felt like tearing down the house.

"It's greasy." Gloria felt speechless. "Come on, tell me what you want this time, Mr. Brown?" "Can't I call you if it's not about business? I remember that you want me to consider a project, and now you're treating me so aloofly?" Jonathan heaved a sigh of displeasure. "Gloria, that's not very nice of you."

But before Gloria could say anything to defend herself, o loud bang from behind gave her a Jolt!
