Scarlet lightly nudged Felicia’s arm and asked, “Looks like someone’s targeting us. What’s the plan, boss?”

“Well, it’s time to use my superpower of being rich,” Felicia replied with a faint smile.

Tapping away on her phone, she quickly worked her magic. Scarlet only caught a glimpse of her hacking a website and contacting someone. Then, moments later, a man in a suit came hurrying toward them.

“Ms. Fuller, I presume? Your private jet is ready, and a car is waiting at the entrance to escort you. Please follow me.”

The man’s polite demeanor was tinged with flattery as he respectfully gestured for them to follow.

Felicia pocketed her phone and strode forward without hesitation.

Scarlet clicked her tongue in admiration. As expected, money talloed. She had chartered a private jet just like that!

Before boarding the plane, Felicia glanced back briefly

That glance nearly gave the hidden Glovers family operatives a heart attack, wondering if she spotted them.

Thankfully, Felicia quickly turned away without further reaction.

The private jet didn’t waste any time. The cabin door closed, and they were airborne shortly after.

When Maurice’s subordinates reported this development to him, he let out a dry laugh.

Well, well, well. It seemed he had underestimated Felicia’s financial resources

Considering her unparalleled medical skills, her consultation fees alone had to be astronomical. Not to mention Union Clinic’s products, such as the Panax pseudo–ginthera, scar–removal cream, and so on were perpetually sold out.

He blocked her path to Seldvale, but she retaliated by chartering a jet. There was no stopping her now.

Maurice lowered his head and chuckled, then looked up, his face tinged with helplessness. “Let’s go to Seldvale.”

His subordinates paled at his words, nervously trying to dissuade him

“Mr. Glovers! Seldvale is Mr. Russell’s territory. Have you forgotten his last warning? If he finds out, it’s as good as…”

A one–way trip.

Before the man cold finish, Maurice kicked him aside. He said in a calm but menacing tone, “Are you trying to tell me what to do?”

“I wouldn’t dare.”

“Wouldn’t dare? You all seem pretty bold to me,” he remarked nonchalantly, though the air around him grew oppressive, laden with murderous intent. His subordinates felt a chill run down their spines, and they were reminded of his volatile nature. The number of people he had thrown into the crocodile pool was far from small.

The man he kicked quickly hunched his back. “Mr. Glovers, I’ll make the arrangements immediately!”

On the private jet, Scarlet lounged comfortably on the couch while swirling a glass of red wine. In front of her was a spread of desserts prepared by a seven–star hotel chef. She tasted a bite and closed her eyes in satisfaction. “Not bad.”

Across from her, Felicia sat on a couch, scrolling through a tablet. She was merely passing time, but an inconspicuous piece of news caught her attention. She clicked on it, revealing a video of an elderly woman with graying hair who was unsteady on her feet and gesturing frantically at the camera while making strange sounds. It was obvious the old woman couldn’t speak and could only sign with her hands.

Sadly, no one around her understood sign language.

In the video, some people were seen covering their mouths, secretly laughing at her.

The old woman grew more desperate, her gestures more frantic, until she broke into tears and fell to her knees, begging the crowd.

Someone nearby tried to help her up, but she refused, trembling as she pulled a photograph from her pocket and showed it to the people around her. She gestured once more.

Felicia understood what she was trying to convey.
