Richest Mogul
Chapter 1404

Cassian yelled angrily, "Hey, Charles, don't get too carried away! Do you think I can't make you regret it overnight?"

Charles rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Bullshit!"

"You!"

Outside the door, Natalie was furious and almost barged in to see what was happening. However, she was taken aback when she heard Charles effortlessly put Cassian in his place with just a few words.

What had started as a domineering confrontation quickly deflated as Cassian found himself speechless, unsure of how to respond.

Natalie couldn't help but smile. Skylar and Charles were truly siblings.

She had heard from Skylar that Charles wasn't the kind of person who would let anyone push him around. If someone wanted to bully Charles, they'd better be prepared to take a hit. There weren't many who could beat Charles in a flight. Sure enough, she could hear the commotion inside. Cassian was throwing punches. But it was clear he wasn't even close to landing a hit on Charles.

"Want to hit me? Have you bothered to ask around? Did I use a stand-in for any of my fight scenes in the movie I just filmed? If you got bruised, it's only because I'm showing some grace to the production team.

"Now get the hell out! If you stick around for another minute, I swear I'll knock you out!" Charles taunted as he playfully slapped Cassian's cheek.

The sound of the slap echoed in the room, clearly showing he was putting some force behind it. Cassian, likely startled, didn't dare say anything further.

After listening for a while, Natalie decided not to eavesdrop any longer and walked away.

Meanwhile, Charles was growing impatient as Cassian stood frozen in shock.

"You don't want to leave? You really want to get hit again?" Charles asked angrily.

Cassian finally realized that Charles was serious and quickly scrambled to his feet, pushing the door open to escape.

Watching Cassian flee, Charles felt incredibly exasperated. Seeing someone so focused on petty drama rather than honing their acting skills while questioning others' dedication to their craft was frustrating. He would have genuinely considered throwing a punch if they weren't in a television station recording.

Cassian had always looked down on him when Charles was used as a stand-in, avoiding any dangerous or physically demanding scenes by relying on someone else to take the risk.

Yet, he would boast about his dedication during promotions, overshadowing everyone else with his so-called brilliance in the spotlight.

It was ridiculous that he dared to come and confront him. Charles took a few deep breaths.

He looked at himself in the mirror and fixed his hair. As a dedicated artist, he believed in fully committing to his work once he took on a job.

He hadn't expected to encounter an old acquaintance while filming a reality show. Moreover, it was someone he had never had a good impression of. Fortunately, the only reason he participated in this reality show was because of Austin. This time, it wasn't in vain. He could learn a lot from Austin.

In the hospital, Skylar glanced at the test results. The blood test confirmed that she was pregnant.

The baby inside her was four weeks along.

The doctor mentioned that her progesterone levels were a bit low and prescribed some medication.

Holding the examination report and her medical record, she experienced a moment of blankness, unsure of what to do next.

For a while, she had been looking forward to having a child. Yet now, despite the confirmation of the pregnancy, she knew the baby couldn't stay.

As she sat in the hospital corridor, lost in thought while staring at the report, she suddenly noticed a shadow approaching.

Looking up, she saw Joe.

"Grandma just filled me in on everything. Do you think we can trust Kevin's words?" Joe asked.
