Richest Mogul
Chapter 1403

Hank glanced over at Austin, his eyes filled with a single thought, "You two really know how to put on a show."

Austin looked back at Natalie and smirked. "An autograph isn't much fun. Come here, and I'll show you what real fun is."

All the makeup artists in the room were part of Austin's crew, so they were well aware of their relationship. Natalie's curiosity was piqued, and she took a step closer.

Just as she opened her mouth to ask what he meant, Austin suddenly reached out, gently pressing her head down as he leaned in and kissed her.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "What on earth!"

As Austin deepened the kiss, the makeup artist and Hank exchanged glances and discreetly looked away.

It was as if everyone else in the room had vanished, their presence utterly ignored. Austin and Natalie seemed to be in a world of their own, entirely unconcerned about the eyes on them.

The display was so intense that it left everyone else feeling awkward, as if they had just been fed an uncomfortable dose of romance.

As Austin kissed Natalie, his thoughts drifted back to just a few moments ago when he had been up on stage, going over a few techniques with the trainees.

He had caught Natalie watching him, her eyes bright with admiration. In that instant, he was in awe. He couldn't believe that Natalie was finally his.

For a moment, he felt an indescribable happiness. He wouldn't have let her go so easily if no one had knocked on the door.

Not that they hadn't kissed before-but this time, the kiss left Natalie feeling completely dizzy and disoriented.

By the time she regained her balance, Austin had already let her go and helped her steady herself, his hand still lingering on her waist.

"Mr. Powell, recording resumes in ten minutes."

Austin replied in a low voice, "Got it."

Natalie finally came to her senses and whispered to Austin, "You'd really dare to do that here?"

With both Hank and the makeup artist right there, she felt mortified beyond belief.

"I'm heading back now," she murmured. Her face flushed, still not daring to meet anyone's eyes.

After a quick goodbye to Austin, she slipped out. On her way back to the recording set, she happened to pass by Charles' dressing room, and loud voices caught her attention.

"What gives you the right to direct me? Who do you think you are? You were just my stand-in a few years ago, and now you dare to tell me what to do? I know exactly how you got here.

"How many older women did you cozy up to? Everyone's saying you're just a kiss-up to the higher-ups. Pathetic!"

The foul insults made Natalie frown. Charles was Skylar's older brother, making him her brother too, and these slanderous remarks were outrageous.

Charles had climbed his way up through sheer talent and determination. Some people were just filth, assuming everyone else was the same as them.

Austin had often told Natalie that Charles was one of the most talented actors he knew.

She recognized the voice now. During the recording of the show earlier, Cassian Larson had praised Charles in front of everyone. He talked about how impressive Charles' acting skills had become over the past few years. The compliments sounded very flattering. Not long after the recording ended, Cassian came over to start yelling at Charles. Natalie wondered if he had no sense of decency.

"Are you just sharing your own experience? I don't know how many people you've climbed over, but I have a few names. Should I list them so you can see if any sound familiar? Let's start with Sapphire Wintringham..." Charles's voice didn't sound angry. Instead, it was quite calm. However, his words instantly weakened Cassian's momentum, who had just been yelling.

"You... You're talking nonsense! Who told you that?"

"Who said it isn't what matters? What matters is that you're just a cowardly fake," Charles replied with a sneer.
