Sophia’s POV

18 Year later

My life turned out perfect. I had everything I ever wanted. I had two mates that loved me endlessly. I had three beautiful children. I got my revenge on the people that hurt me and I have been able to move on with life. I overcame all my fears and now nothing scares me.

Avery and Trevor moved into our old place and got married. They waited a few years but had two babies. A boy and a girl. We weren’t sure how things would be at first, as they would be hybrid children. We didn’t know what the future held for them. They could be a wolf or a witch or maybe even both. We were just waiting until they turned 18. While we got our wolves at 16 and shifted at 18, witches didn’t get their magic until they were 18, so we will work with both councils when the time comes.

Clarissa kept her promise and went to the pack that Xander had set up for her and she became an Omega. She finally found a mate and lived a peaceful life. Xander still checks in on her from time to time, but has always gotten a good report back from them.

Today we are celebrating the boy’s 18th birthday. We will hold a ball for them and also for Zane. We will announce them as the future Alpha and Betas of our pack. The boys have decided to continue like their fathers and have two betas for this pack. It wasn’t always easy raising them with two different mates and having two different fathers, but we were a family, regardless. There were times of jealousy because KJ thought he should be Alpha because he was born first, but because of b***d right, it went to Alexander. We had to have many talks with KJ about it and he finally came to terms with it and has stepped up and he will make a great beta.

Lucy has been away at school. She didn’t want anything to do with running a pack. She is studying to be a lawyer. She says when she is done, she will come back and help with pack negations. Nobody knew it, but she would be here tonight. She wanted to surprise everyone.

I went into the boys’ room to check that they were dressed. They should be in their tuxes for tonight. They both ran the chance of meeting their mates tonight. We had invited many neighboring packs. I knocked on their door and heard a come-in.

“Well, don’t you boys look devilishly handsome,” I told both of them.

“Thanks, Mom,” they mumbled in unison.

Xander and Kane came in right behind me. They each stepped up to me and kissed my head and grabbed a hand.

“Boys, I want you to remember that whatever happens tonight we are proud of you two and we know you will lead this pack with greatness,” Kane said.

“Let me also remind you that if you find your mates tonight, please do not reject them. You know my story. I almost lost your mom because of it. Please take it slow and really get to know them before you do anything,” Xander said again for the millionth time. He didn’t want them to repeat his mistakes.

They both just smiled at us, and we left the room to go greet our guests.

“Look at how much they have grown up, oh they are gorgeous,” I told Alpha Nathan and Luna Brooke as they came in with their daughters Tinlee and Hailee.

Tinlee may have been Clarissa’s biological daughter, but she was nothing like her. They didn’t know, but they were pregnant when they came to get Tinlee. The girls were basically twins, only four months apart.

Everyone was finally here, and they were visiting with each other, and drinks were flowing, and it seemed everyone was having a good time. It was time for us to announce the boys.

Xander, Kane, and I walked up to the stage, where we met Konner and Ashley. The three of us walked to the podium as a trio, like always.

“Thank you, everyone, for coming today. Today is something that I never thought would be possible. While we have lived a different life than most wolves, it has been a blessed life. I have helped raised two amazing boys who have quickly become two amazing men. I have also been blessed to be an uncle to another, and the three of these boys are the future of this pack. These men have been raised side by side and, well, believe it or not, they are closer than Kane, Konner, and I were. I would also like to thank everyone in our pack because I know they weren’t always the easiest. They were a little wild at times,” Xander said.

Everyone was laughing at this because those three boys caused a lot of trouble, but it was always together, and it was no more than what most kids do.

“Without getting any more emotional on you, I would like to introduce you to the future Alpha Alexander, Future Beta KJ, and Future Beta Zane.”

All three boys came up on stage and waved at everyone.

They weren’t required to make a speech, which was good because neither had anything prepared.

“Please, let’s celebrate these boys and our future. It will be a great one and I know these boys will do an amazing job leading when the time is right. Please eat and enjoy the party,” Xander said, and then stepped down from the podium with the three boys.

As soon as we were off the podium, the boys turned to each other and whispered. I walked over to them to see what was going on.

“Boys, what is going on?” I asked.

“Our mates are here, but they aren’t 18 yet,” Alex said.

“What do you mean? Can you scent them?” I asked.

“Yes, it’s Alpha Nathan’s and Luna Brooke’s daughters,” KJ said.

“That’s not possible. They aren’t 18 yet,” I said, questioning them.

“Mom, trust us. When I locked eyes with Tinlee, I felt it. I need to go to her,” Alex said and walked off, and KJ was right behind them.

Xander and Kane came up to us as they walked off.

“What was that about?” Kane asked.

“They said they found their mates, but they’re not 18 yet.”

“That’s strange they shouldn’t be able to tell yet,” Xander said.

“Well, it wouldn’t be the first time something weird has happened around here,” Kane said and we all laughed.

I was happy that my boys had found their mates so early, but Tinlee was still Clarissa’s biological daughter. This would be hard for me, regardless of how she was raised.
