Sophia's Revenge -
Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 111
Sophia’s POV
Two months later
I walked all the kids to daycare and joined the boys in the office for whatever awaited us today. The boys were growing more and more every day and Lucy was turning into such a big help with them. She truly loved them. The boys no longer fit in their little carriers, and I had to put one in a front pack and carry the other one in my arms. Taking care of them and Lucy, I got my strength back quickly.
Everyone that came and helped us left our pack after I woke up and knew that I was going to be ok. The witch’s council reached out to say that getting Waylon captured and controlling his magic had put order back into their lives. Trevor’s mom went home, but Trevor stayed here with Avery. She wouldn’t give up her pack life and he was ok with that. However, if you ask me, I am pretty sure that Clark went home with Trevor’s mom.
I signed the kids into daycare and headed to the boy’s office. When I got there, I opened the door and walked over, and gave each of them a k**s. Konner was here as well. Konner and Kane split the beta duties and also split training. It has actually worked out great. It also helped take some responsibility off of Xander and both of them could spend more time at home.
Xander and Kane had been working on their trust, and it has gotten so much better. Jax calmed way down since they have killed King Jag. We are really starting to feel like we once were.
“Hello, my mates,” I said as I walked over and kissed both of them.
“Hello, beautiful,” Xander said as I sat down on his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me as close to him as possible.
“What is on the schedule today?” I asked.
“We are just discussing a treaty that has been presented to us. It’s from the Silver Lake Pack.”
“I’ve never heard of them. Where are they located?”
“They’re a few hours from here. They have always kept to themselves but have had some issues with rouges and would like some help.”
“What are they offering in return?”
“They don’t have much. They live off the land for the most part.”
“Why don’t we do a trade of services with them?” I asked.
“What do you mean, baby girl?”
“Well, they need protection, and it wouldn’t hurt our pack to learn how to do some stuff with the land. We could grow gardens and canned foods. It is something they can teach us, and we can offer some protection and help implement some training for them.”
“Beautiful, that is a great idea. This could create some more jobs in the pack and cut costs and we would save money. It’s also something we can be proud of.”
,
“I will add it to the treaty they sent over and see what they say,” Konner said.
“Guys, I am sorry, but I just got a mind link from Doc and Clarissa is in labor,” Kane said.
We had discussed this already, and we weren’t going to be at the hospital to support her. We would wait until the baby was born and then the three of us would head over there and if it was Kane’s, he could scent the baby. No one had talked to her this whole time. She was left in a room that was guarded and could only go to checkups.
“Why don’t we all go have some lunch? It will keep us busy,” Konner said.
We all got up and followed him out and headed to the dining hall. I know I didn’t have much of an appetite and I know we all said we wouldn’t go and see her, and I won’t, but it doesn’t mean we can’t go get an update from time to time. We all sat down to eat. I made a small plate and just pushed my food around.
“Baby girl, you need to eat. Keep your strength up.”
“I can’t right now. I am too nervous.”
“I know me too.”
“Can we please just go to the hospital and get a checkup? I can’t do this anymore. This is a big day that will decide the future of us today,” Kane said.
“We can, but I would like to show you and Kane something first,” Xander said
The three of us got up while Konner continued to eat his lunch. Both boys grabbed my hands like always, and Xander led us outside and away from the pack house.
“Where are you taking us?” I asked.
He turned to me with a huge smile on his face and just said, “it’s a surprise.”
We walked for about ten minutes when we came to a big clearing in the forest. You could see that they had started to build something here.
“What is going on here?” I asked him.
I got the feeling that Kane already knew because he also had a huge smile on his face.
“This is the sight of our new house.”
“WHAT?” I yelled in happiness.
“We don’t have room in the pack house for all of us. The kids will all need their own room and a playroom.”
I threw myself on Xander and kissed him with so much passion that I thought I might just rip his clothes off right here. This was the sweetest thing he could have ever done.
“I wasn’t behind this by myself. Kane helped me.”
I unwrapped myself from Xander and threw myself at Kane this time, and gave him the same type of k**s.
“Baby girl, you have to stop, or we are going to take you here in the dirt.”
I let go of him and just laughed.
“Please tell me about the house.”
Xander pulled up some blueprints on his phone and showed me the layout of the house. And it was perfect. It had five bedrooms and four bathrooms and two offices. Along with a large living room and kitchen and a dining room. This means I can start cooking for them more regularly. Something I enjoyed doing, but our place was so small it was hard.
“Thank you, boys. This is amazing. I can’t wait to move in. When will it be done?”
“Not for a few more months, baby girl.”
“Well, at least we don’t have to figure out how to make room for the boys anymore.”
“No, we’re going to give our room to Avery and Trevor.”
“That’s a great idea.”
“Come on, I just got a mind link from Doc. It’s almost time,” Kane said.
We all grabbed hands again and headed towards the pack hospital. It took us about twenty minutes to walk there. I don’t know how much of a hurry they were in. I know that I wasn’t in a big hurry.
When we got to the front of the hospital, I stopped Kane and wrapped my arms around him.
“Whatever happens in there, we have your back. If this is your child, it will be welcomed with open arms. However, if it is yours, we may have to make the house a little bigger.”
He just laughed at me and hugged me tighter.
We entered that hospital as a trio, holding hands. After everything we have been through, nothing could break us apart again. Not even Clarissa. Xander must have gotten the room number from Doc because we walked right to her room. Kane knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. I think this is the first time he has ever waited for someone to open the door.
“You came. Your daughter is waiting to meet you.”
He dropped my hand and walked over to where the baby girl was in the incubator. He leaned down and picked the baby up and cradled her on his shoulder. My heart dropped when he did that. This baby was his. I just knew it. I would forever be tied to this horrible woman for the rest of my life. I would love this child like my own, but it might take me a while. He kept his back to us for a few minutes, not saying anything. He turned around to face us and had a huge smile on his face.
“She isn’t mine.”
“Yes, she is.” Shouted Clarissa.
“No, my wolf can’t scent her as he did with my son. This baby girl is not mine.”
Clarissa was sobbing in her bed, looking broken. She thought she would get a pass if this was Kane’s baby.
“Clarissa, you have two choices. You can take your baby and go to another pack that I have arranged for you, or you can give her up for adoption and leave. You will be a rogue.”
“Kane, if she isn’t yours, why are you holding her like that?” She asked him.
“Because this baby deserves to feel loved at least once in her life. With a mother like you, she is going to need all she can get.”
“Please tell the truth. This is your baby.”
Kane placed the baby down and walked over to Clarissa and got in her face.
“She is not mine, and you know it. Do you even know who the father is?”
“No.” She sobbed out.
“Clarissa, what is your choice? I have to make arrangements either way.” Xander asked.
“If I give her up, will you make sure she goes to someone who deserves her and can you please not make me a rogue? You can send me to any pack you want, just don’t make me a rogue.”
“You would give her up?”
“Yes, I can’t care for her as she deserves. I don’t have the money to do it.”
“If you promise to never leave this other pack and you abide by their rules, I will allow it, but remember, if you mess up at all, I will kill you and not think twice about it. You will be the lowest of the lows as an omega and you will never move up,” I told her and tried to put as much threat into my voice as I could.
“I accept those conditions.”
“I am glad to hear it. I will give you tonight with the baby and will be back tomorrow for her new family.”
She just started crying harder as we left her room. I felt bad for her, but this was the life she chose with her actions.
“Xander, do you already have someone that wants her?” I asked him.
“Ya, I do. I have already talked to them, and they knew everything and have actually helped us so much and I know they want a baby, and she has had trouble conceiving.”
“Who is it?”
“Nathan and Brooke.”
“I was so hoping you would say that. They will be perfect parents for her.”
