Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 34

Sophia’s POV

After Kane ran off, I tried to make Xander go after him and make him come back. He told me that he would mind link him but that he may need some time for himself. I knew that feeling all too well. Xander got us some food and we just watched some TV and got to know each other a little better. I got to know that his favorite color is green and that his favorite thing to do is train. He says that you can’t train too much. The stronger you are, the better you can protect the pack. I couldn’t agree more with that, and I talked with him about starting to train. He wasn’t a huge fan of it, but after I explained, I wanted to be able to protect myself. He came around to the idea but said that only him and Kane would be training me.

I smell Kane outside the door. When the mate bond snapped into place, I could smell either one of my boys when they were within about 100 feet of me. I was waiting for him to knock once and then walk in because that is what he always does. He finally knocked and walked in. I looked up to greet him with a smile on my face.

“Kane, what the hell happened? You’re beat to hell!”

“Baby girl, I needed to blow off some steam and, well, this is a side effect of that. Look, I am so sorry about earlier. If I had known, I would never have done that. I am so so so so so sorry. How can I make it up to you?”

“Oh, Kane, I know that. I am sorry. I am just not ready yet. One day things won’t get to me, but for now we are all learning, and we have to have patience with each other. Now will you please come over here and hug me?

He ran straight to me and scooped me up in his arms. He held on so tight, and I was completely OK with that.

“I hate to break up you two up, but we have to go meet Clark and my dad in my office.”

We walked to his office. I had one of them on each side of me. They were both holding my hand. I have never felt so protected as I do now. We were getting weird looks from everyone we passed. I had yet to be in his office and I was curious about what it looked like.

When we got there, Kane opened the door and we walked into a large space. It had a dark cheery oak wood desk sitting right past the door. He had two chairs sitting in front of his desk. He also had bookshelf behind his desk that had books and pictures on it. The walls were painted a light blue and had a dark gray carpet. He had a couch and a table and chairs for 8 towards the back of the room. They led me to the table in the back and we all took a seat, one on each side of me. None of them said a thing as we waited for Alpha Ty and Clark.

Alpha Ty and Clark finally walked in and came and sat at the table. Clark was an older gentleman who was short and looked like he lived a hard life.

“Sophia, I would like you to meet my friend Clark.”

He came over and shook my hand and than went and sat back down.

“Well Sophia, I can confirm that you are an emerald wolf.” Clark said.

“What does that mean for me Clark?”

“It means you need to start training now. Anytime there is an emerald wolf born and come into power it means there is sometime of change coming and you are the one who has to lead it.”

“So, nothing will happen until I come into my power?” I asked him.

“No, it will happen weather you have come into your powers or not.”

I just took a deep breath I was not ready for that. I knew I had to me be mated and marked and I had to mark both my mates.

“I am not ready for that. I need some time.”

“I understand but just know that you were here for a reason, and you can’t put it off very long.”

I know and it will happen but just give me a little time.”

“I also think that once you come into your powers it would be best if you left me with to train. I trained my sister, and I can do the same for you.” Clark said.

“Over my dead body is she going anywhere with you!” Xander yelled.

This meeting had not gone the way I had expected it to. Clark seemed to be a nice enough guy. He confirmed what we already knew that I was an emerald wolf. He explained some of the things his sister went through, and they were similar to mine but we both suffered at the hands of men. When she came into her full power, people were terrified of her, and her brother had to take her into hiding until it was time for her to use her power. He trained her and she learned how to use all of her powers. This is why both of my mates were getting angry. He wanted me to come with him until it was time for me to use my powers. I wouldn’t be going with him. Besides my powers wouldn’t come into effect until I was mated and marked by both of my mates.

“Stella, what do you think?”

“I think we need to mate right now. Let’s kick Alpha Ty and Clark out and we strip and lay on that table. I am sure our boys won’t be able to keep their hands off themselves.”

“STELLA! That is not what I meant, and you know it. Try again?”

“OK, I don’t want to go with him. We are safer here than we would be anywhere else. We will stay with our mates.”

“I agree.”

I was done with this meeting. I stood up to make my thoughts perfectly clear. “Gentlemen, you seem to have forgotten my thoughts on this. Clark, I do appreciate your offer of protection, but I will not be leaving my mates. However, if you would like to stay here, I would take the help with training. If that is something you would be willing to do, I am sure we can get you some more permanent accommodation.”

“She is correct, we can get you set up with your own little cabin and you would have the freedom to come and go as you please. I know you like to be in your wolf form more than not. I do just ask, if you are going to leave pack lands to let us know.” Xander said.

“OK, I will stay and help with training but the cabin that is the furthest out and away from everyone.”

I got up to leave. I was done with this meeting, and I wanted to lay down for a while.

It didn’t take long for my boys to follow me out of the room and down to my room. I got to my room and opened the door and turned to them. I placed a k**s on each of their cheeks and said “I really just need to be alone. The trial starts in two days, and I just need to think about how I am going to do this. Please just give me a little time. Maybe we can go downstairs for dinner. Come get me when it’s time.”

“We will just be in Kane’s room if you need us. Just yell really loud and we will be here!” Xander said.

I turned and walked into my room and closed and locked the door. I think I will make use of that bathtub. I went into the bathroom and started the water in the tub and dug through the cupboards looking for some bubble bath to add. I couldn’t find any, but I did find a bath bomb. I’ve never used one, but it smelled great, and I was going to see what it was all about. I dropped it into the water. I could see little bubbles coming out of it and the water turning pink, the same color as the bath bomb. I stripped down and got into the water. It felt heavenly. This bath bomb was making my skin feel silky smooth.

“Stella, how am I going to do this trial? I don’t know if I can face them. I am starting to heal and feel better. I know it hasn’t been that long, but my mates make me feel so much love and so safe, but I don’t know if it is enough to tell strangers every bad thing that happened to me.

“Oh girl, you can do this. You are strong, you are brave, and you most importantly are an emerald wolf! We have more power flowing through us than everyone combined in that room!”

“You always make me feel better. Thank You!”
