Sophia’s POV

I woke up the next morning with a warm body pressed against my back and arms wrapped around me but in front of me the bed was cold. Xander long gone. I tried to wiggle out of Kanes grip but as usual he pulled me closer and tightened his grip on me.

“Baby girl, it’s not time to get up yet.”

“Where is Xander?”

“His office, he is behind on work, so he went in early.”

“Oh.” I couldn’t help the disappointment in my voice.

“I need to use the bathroom, please let me go.”

“Are you ok? You sound sad.”

“I’m fine.” I said slipping out of bed and walking to the bathroom.

I turned the shower on and slipped under the hot water. It felt amazing on my body. I was definitely sore from last night, but I loved every second of it.

“Stella, why didn’t you give me more warning about last night?”

“I couldn’t. You would have fought me on it, and you need to be ready. Also, girl are mates are amazing. We can do that every night of our lives. The way they handled us and made us feel is undesirable.”

“I agree. It was perfect. I need to mark them also, are you ready for that?”

She didn’t answer because Kane had stepped into the shower with me. He came up behind me and made his body flush with mine. He reached around and started to massage my breast. “Ok, fine but I will see you for lunch.”

He got dressed and left the room. As soon as the door was shut, I heard him say “I love you.”

Did he mind link me? I’ve never been able to do that.

“Baby girl, since we’re both marked, we can mind link but it’s only me until you mark Xander and when you become Luna you will be able to with the whole pack.

“I love you too.” That is all I said back. I had a huge smile on my face. I had felt love from them but to hear one of them say it was whole new feeling. I could get used to this life.

“Stella, are ready to go do the same to our workaholic mate.”

“More then ready. Let’s break into his office and throw him on the floor and f**k his brains out!”

“I like the way you think, let me get ready and we will go.”

I chose to wear a short little white sun dress and a pair of saddles. I had thoughts of Xander just pushing the dress up and sliding his d**k right into me. The thoughts were making wet. I needed to get to him and do this.

I headed out my door when I got an ache in my chest. It didn’t last long but it was a really weird feeling. I chose to ignore it since it was gone so fast. I flew down the stairs and ran straight into Luna Caroline, Avery and Sara.

“OH, my goddess is that what I think it is!” Screeched Avery. She ran right over to me examining my marks. “Oh there so beautiful! Did you mate them at the same time?” She screeched again.

My cheeks were as red as tomatoes by now.

“Avery Marie, you cannot ask those questions! Sophia congratulations! We were hoping to speak with you about your Luna ceremony.”

“I actually was heaaaadddd.” I had to stop because the pain in my chest was back, and it was bad. I couldn’t get a word out and I couldn’t take a breath.

“Sophia, are you ok?” asked Luna Caroline.

The pain had dulled enough that I could talk. “Yes, sorry. I have had this weird pain in my chest today. It’s better now. I was going to talk with Xander, can I find you later?”

“Yes, and are you sure you’re ok? Maybe we should take you to the hospital and have Doc check you out. You’re breathing hard still.”

“No I’m good. Probably tired.”

“Ok well if you need me, I am here.” She said walking away.

I turned the corner and headed for his office. Before I could get there, I had another pain and this time it brought me to my knees.

“Stella, what’s wrong?”

“It’s mate, please don’t go to him,” she said.

“Mmmmmaaatttttteeee?” I could even finish asking. Stella was just crying in my head. I had to get to Xander. His office wasn’t very far away, I could crawl.

I made it to his door and knocked but didn’t get a response. The pain was still there but I had to get in there. Xander would help. I drew all my strength and opened the door, but what I saw next made me understand the pain.

“What are you doing Xander?” I managed to get out.

“Get the f**k out of my office. You don’t have my permission to be in here, he yelled and stormed to me. He pushed me out and slammed the door in my face. The pain started back up immediately, and I fell to the floor screaming pain. Alpha Ty came running up and told me to hold tight that Luna Caroline would be there soon, and he slammed the door open letting out an angry growl while slamming the door closed.

“Oh, sweet girl, let’s get you to your room,” Luna Caroline said as she helped me to my feet and walked me to my room. I was able to hold the tears back until I reached my room walking in and closing the door behind me with her on the outside.

“Stella, why would he do this?”

“I don’t know but we will kill him.”

“We can’t we were marked by him.”

“Fine but we don’t have to forgive him.”

I still had an ache in my chest, but it was a different kind of ache. It hurt because of what he did and that I let him mark me. He really had me convinced that he loved me.
