Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 48

Sophia’s POV

“Beautiful, you literally just listed every power an emerald wolf has had but there has never been record of any having all of them.”

“He’s right. You are extremely powerful. I would like to see you use your powers.”

“I don’t know how and I’m sorry we didn’t introduce ourselves. I’m Sophia and these are my mates, Xander and Kane, and I’m guessing you know everyone else here.” I said to the witch.

“Sorry dear, I got excited seeing you and your powers, but I am Emily, and this is my son Trevor.”

“It’s nice to meet you both,” I said.

“I know I said I wanted to meet with Sophia alone, but that won’t be necessary as her power is so strong, I don’t have to pull it out of her, but can I see the letter that you received?”

Clark slid the letter over to her and she opened it up, examining it and then handing it to Trevor, who did the same. He sat it back on the table in front of his mother and they both just stared at Xander.

“Whoever is helping these two wolves is using some black magic. I would like to stay for a while and help Sophia with her powers if that would be, OK?”

I was excited about learning something, but Emily and her son were a little intimidating.

“Only on the condition that at least one of my mates is with me.”

“Of course, dear one will need to be with us for this. You draw off of them.”

“Why don’t we all go get lunch and then we can meet tomorrow? I’m sure you would like to settle into your place,” Luna Caroline said.

We all got up and walked out of the room and towards the dining hall. Kane leaned in and said “Well, now we have the afternoon free, how about a run baby girl?”

This caused Stella to come alive and bounce around in my head. “OH yes please. I want to run with my mates.”

“Stella, thinks that it is a wonderful idea.”

We were about to the dining room when Avery came bouncing around the corner but froze in place as soon as her eyes met Trevor’s. She was suddenly all smiles and ran and jumped into Trevor’s arms. He looked absolutely terrified but caught her and didn’t let her go.

“Avery Marie, you can’t do that, let go of him right now!” Scolded Alpha Ty.

“No, he is my mate.”

“Oh, this might be a problem,” said Emily.

She looked as if her heart broke right there and slid out of his grasp. She stepped back and just looked at him with unshed tears in her eyes.

“I am sorry dear, but witches don’t have mates. We have a chosen and we aren’t blessed the same way you are. We are more human in this aspect, and we fall in love the old-fashioned way and there isn’t an instant bond with us.” Emily explained.

Avery just turned and ran away. We were all just a little shocked as we had never heard of a wolf and a witch being mates.

“Trevor, can we please go have a conversation in private please?” Alpha Ty asked.

“I am going to check on her and will meet you guys when I’m done.” I said to my boys

I took off after Avery to make sure she was ok. I found her in her room lying face down on her bed sobbing her eyes out.

“Avery, why are you crying?”

“Sophia, I made a fool out of myself. I threw myself in his arms and didn’t even know his name. My wolf and I just got so excited that we had found our mate that we didn’t even realize that he wasn’t a wolf. I mean, why would we have a witch on pack territory?”

“There here because of me. They are going to help me with my powers. This is ok, you are just going to have to get to know him and it won’t take him long to fall in love with you.”

“What if he rejects me? What if he has someone already? What if he is repulsed by a wolf? What if.”

“Would you stop with the what ifs? Give him a chance. You don’t know him. He seems like a nice guy, and besides him and your dad are talking right now. I am sure it will all be OK.”

“WHAT! He is talking with my dad. Oh goddess, this couldn’t get any worse!”

“Avery, if I can move on from everything your brother has done and love him, I am sure he will be in love with you before the end of the day. You just have to go talk to him. Let’s go get lunch and see if we can’t get you two talking.”

We walked back down to the dining hall and fixed our plates and went and sat down but Alpha Ty and Trevor were not there yet.

Nobody said anything while we ate. I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Where do you live Emily?”

“Here and there.”

Well, she was being vague and not helpful.

“Luna Caroline, I know we were supposed to meet to go over the Luna ceremony yesterday and I didn’t make it. Can we do it after dinner?”

“That would be wonderful. We need to get busy as we only have two weeks. I have some ideas and have you thought about colors or flowers. Oh, what about food? And your dress. We have to find your dress.”

“Well, I know where Avery got that from!”

Everyone busted up laughing but it was short-lived because Alpha Ty and Trevor came walking up.

” What’s so funny?” asked Alpha Ty.

“Sophia just figured out where Avery gets some of her best qualities from,” she said.

“Avery, can we go for a walk?” asked Trevor.

Poor Avery looked terrified as she got up and I just wanted to run to her and hug her.

“Beautiful, I think we have a date to go for a run,” Xander said as he and Kane stood up. Now I was the one who looked terrified. I have only shifted a few times and while it isn’t as painful as before, it still hurts some. Also, I was going to have to get naked outside. I don’t know why but stripping in front of my mates was still hard for me.

We walked out to the forest and, once out of sight of the pack house, both boys instantly stripped and holy goddess where they hot! I had never noticed but Kane had a large tattoo on his back. It was the moon with a family of wolves. It was beautiful. They quickly shifted and stood there waiting for me, but I wanted to take a moment to see their wolves.

Xander was a large black wolf but had a green tinge to his ears. I walked over and ran my hands through his fur.

“Jax, you are beautiful. You even have a green tinge in your ears. That is really strange. I’ve never seen that before. “

He just nuzzled his snout into my neck. This had me laughing but River wasn’t going to have any of it and quickly came over and put his snout on the other side of my neck. He was just a little smaller than Jax and was a dark charcoal color and also had a green tinge on his ears.

“River, you are also beautiful and both of you are so soft,” I told them. River nudged me to shift, and they both just sat back. I couldn’t do it in front of them, so I walked to a large bush and quickly stripped down and called Stella forward. It was the easiest shift I have had yet.

Stella shook out her fur and stretched out before she went around to her mates. She wasted no time playing with them. She nipped at Kane and took off running. They followed suit. They followed me for a while we jumped over fallen branches and chased a few birds.

“Beautiful, slow down. You are going at a high speed. We want to keep up with you.”

I didn’t realize how far ahead I was of them, but we didn’t feel winded. In fact, we felt great, better than we ever had.

“Stella, why are we so fast?”

“Girl, we’re an emerald wolf. When are you going to learn, we can do whatever we want. Watch this.” she said as she came to a screeching halt. She walked over to a bush and brushed up against it and then sat back down and stared at it for a minute, when suddenly the flowers started to bloom on the bush. They didn’t even have buds on them at this time and now I was looking at the beautiful flowers.

“Holy s**t, how did you do that?” Xander said as they came up behind us.

“I don’t know Stella did it.”

“I can control the elements. That also includes having control of the vegetation.” Stella mind linked to everyone.

“What else can you do, Stella?” asked Xander.

“Do you have any water around?” She asked.

They both just took off running, so we followed. We ran for a while before we came to the prettiest pond I had ever seen. The water was clean and clear. There was lush greenery around it. Stella stepped up and took a drink of the water and then sat back and suddenly the water started to spin in the middle and then lifted up. It looked like a tornado made of water and as soon as it was up it came crashing down, soaking us.

“Stella, you are amazing. I can’t wait to learn what else we can do,” I told her.

Both the boys shifted back and came over to us and started to run their hands through Stella’s fur. She was beyond ecstatic about it and started rubbing her body all over them.

“Girl, you want to put a block up because I am going to mate with my mates and, unless you want to see that, put up a block yourself.”

“Oh goddess, no I don’t need to be a part of that. I am out.”

“Please bring your wolves back,” She mind linked the boys and I quickly put my block up.
