Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 68

Xander’s POV

Sophia had left to get ready, and I got dressed, wanting to spend some time with my daughter. I hope that she will accept me. I went downstairs looking for her and I found her and Miles in the dining area coloring.

“Can I join you, Lucy?” I asked.

“Sure, do you like princesses?” She asked me.

“I do. Did you know that I have my own princess upstairs getting ready for a party tonight?”

“You do! She must be special!”

“She is. Do you want to meet her later?”

“YES!”

She went back to coloring her picture of a princess. This little girl would forever be my princess along with Sophia. They completed me.

“Miles says that you’re my daddy and that the other guy who was my daddy really wasn’t. Is that true? Do you know my mom?” She asked as she continued to color.

She was hitting me with the hard questions right away. I was planning on taking this slower.

“That is true and, yes, I used to know your mommy.”

“Will you be nicer than my old daddy? Who is going to be my new mommy?”

“Princess, I will always be nice and the princess I told you about earlier will be your new mommy.”

“You mean my new mommy will be a real princess?”

“You will both be my real princesses.”

She threw her arms around me and hugged me tight. Miles just looked at me smiling. Kane came strolling into the dining room right then also.

“Princess, I want you to meet your Uncle Kane.”

“Hi, princess how are you?” Kane said.

“How did you know I am a princess?” She asked.

“Because you are beautiful like one!”

She just smiled at him and sat back down and continued to color.

“Miles, did you explain everything to her?”

“Yes, she hasn’t always had it so easy and so the littlest bit of affection she will latch onto that person. She should adjust easily since everyone loves her already.” Miles explained.

“Are you good to continue to hang out with her until my mom gets her. We have to plan out the security for tonight.”

“Of course, I will never leave her.”

We told my princess goodbye and told her we would see her later. We went to our office and started to get the security details worked out for tonight. I had pulled Trevor and Jarrod in with us as well. We spent the entire afternoon in my office getting things set up and making our warriors aware of where we wanted them. I assigned Jarrod guard duty over Sophia and Lucy.

We dismissed everyone and it was just Kane and me. “Are you ready for tonight?” I asked.

” Ya, I am so ready to forge our bond with our mate. I am a little nervous since we don’t know what will happen once both of us do, but we will work through it.” Kane said.

“Let’s go ready, I am ready to see her. I know you have some surprise for both of us and I can’t wait to see it.” I told him.

We both got up and went to our room and showered and shaved and got dressed. We were pretty much ready at the same time. “Looking good brother,” I told him.

“You clean up nicely as well.”

“Let’s go start welcoming the pack and be ready for our mate.”

We got down there before anyone else. My mom did an amazing job with the decorations. She was always good at this. People started to make their way in, all dressed nicely and ready for a party. Kane and I walked around talking with people and welcoming them. My mom showed up and came over to me giving me a k**s on my cheek and then one to Kane as well.

“I am so proud of you boys and let me tell you when you see your mate tonight your jaws are going to drop. She looks absolutely stunning.”

“Thank you, mom, this would not have been possible without you.” I told her.

“Thank you, mom, this would not have been possible without you.” I told her.

“You two need to get up there. Your dad is walking the girls down now and you need to start.”

We walked up to the stage together. Kane went and sat down in a chair next to Luke and his mate Sara. I stepped up to the microphone.

“Welcome everyone. Please find your seat and we will begin.”

I gave everyone a few minutes to sit down. I was trying to control my breathing. I was nervous about this whole thing. I didn’t want anything to go wrong but Jax started stirring in my head.

“Jax, what’s up?” I linked him.

“I don’t know, I am just really nervous.” Jax said.

“I know me too buddy.”

I stepped back up to the microphone to begin.

“Welcome! I am excited to be here. I have a few announcements before we begin. The first thing I would like to announce is my daughter, Lucy.”

There were some gasps throughout the audience and some chatter that began.

“Please let me explain. As you are all aware, Sophia is my second chance mate. My first mate, Jules, up and left one day and never returned. What I didn’t know was that she was pregnant when she left. She was part of those attacks last night. She tried to get me to take her back. She tried to sacrifice our daughter, but Sophia and her wolf Stella saved her life, and I was able to eliminate her. So please give a big welcome to my daughter Lucy.”

I turned to the opening where Sophia and Lucy were and waited for Lucy to step forward. She wouldn’t come out. I walked over to them.

“Lucy, it’s OK, come with me. I want you to meet our pack. They are so excited to see you.”

She finally stepped out and grabbed my hand.

“Are you sure it’s OK daddy?”

That one word brought me to my knees. I kneeled down and kissed her cheek.

“Princess, it will absolutely be OK.”

I walked with her to the podium and announced her again.

“Red moon, please welcome my daughter Lucy.”

There was a huge round of applause for her. I walked over and had her sit with Sara.

“Princess, will you sit with Sara while I bring my other princess out and perform our ceremony?”

“Yes, daddy.”

I walked back over to the microphone. I was starting to get a little emotional. This was going to be hard to get through without crying.

“Red moon, I would like to officially introduce you to your Luna, Luna Sophia.”

She stepped from behind her cover, and I completely stopped breathing. She was absolutely the most beautiful thing on earth. She walked up the stairs and into my arms. I gave her a hug and whispered

“Beautiful, there are no words for how you look tonight. You are absolutely stunning.” I said kissing her cheek. I turned back to the microphone to say something else.

“I need to say something else before we begin. Sophia, I have loved you since I saw you, I just didn’t know it. I know I have made mistakes and I will forever regret those, but I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you, if you let me. I love you with my whole heart and soul, they belong to you.”

When I turned to look at her after declaring my love for her in front of our whole pack, she had tears in her eyes and the softest smile I’ve ever seen.

“Xander, I love you to, and I can’t wait for forever with you and Kane.” She said.

I stepped to her and grabbed her hand and leaned in and whispered, “You are the most beautiful Luna I have ever seen.”

“Do you like my dress?” She asked me.

“It’s breath taking on you.”

“Kane, had it made for me for a surprise.”

I turned to him and motioned for him to come over to us. “I didn’t know you were a gown designer?”

“I will design anything this woman wants. Baby girl, I will give you the moon. All you have to do is ask.”

We grabbed her hands and walked to the podium and nodded to the council member to begin. He walked up to the microphone.

“Thank you, Red moon, for allowing me the privilege of performing this ceremony. Why don’t we get started?”

He walked over to where we were standing and grabbed the knife and turned to me.

“Do you Alpha Xander, vow to accept and love your Luna and stand by her side while you lead this pack into greatness?”

“Yes.”

He took the knife and cut the palm of my hand and brought up the Alpha goblet and had me drop some b***d into it. He turned to Sophia and said, “Do you, Luna Sophia, vow to accept and love your Alpha and stand by his side while you lead this pack into greatness?”

“Yes.”

He did the same with Sophia and cut into her hand and held up the goblet to allow some of her b***d to drop in there. He then turned to Kane and said, “Do you, Beta Kane, vow to accept and love your mate Luna Sophia, and stand by her side and Alpha Xander’s side and help lead this pack into greatness?”

“Yes,”

He did the same thing and cut his palm and dropped some of his b***d into the goblet. After Kane was done, he swirled the goblet around mixing our b***d together.

“Now, by the three of you drinking this, it mixes your b***d and puts your bond fully in place. It will merge you as leaders of this pack.”

He handed the goblet to me first and I took a small drink from it and then handed it to Sophia, who did the same, and then Kane. The second Kane had finished, we had a large surge of power flow through us. I could feel and hear their every thought, including Kane.

We all turned and grabbed hands and bowed to our pack. They all bared their necks in submission to the three of us.

“Red moon I am happy to announce your leaders, and mates, Alpha Xander, Luna Sophia, and Beta Kane.”

I could tell that Sophia was being bombarded with mind links. I think that we all are.

“Please everyone settle down with the mind links. We will have plenty of time tonight to talk with everyone. Please go fix a plate of food and eat, dance and enjoy yourself.”

They all got up and went to start eating and dancing. My parents came up to us along with Lucas and Sara and Lucy. Lucy threw herself at Sophia and was hugging her.

“I am so proud of all three of you. You have taken some hard situations and turned them into something great.” Alpha Ty said.

I reached down and picked Lucy up and grabbed Sophia’s hand and led them away to our table. Kane had grabbed her other hand. We placed Sophia in the middle of the table and sat on each side of her.

“Beautiful, will you have this first dance with me?” I asked her.

“Yes.”

I led her down to the dance floor and they started a slow song. I pulled her as close to me as I possibly could. I whispered to her “I love you so much. You and Lucy have completed me. I could not ask for anything else. I also can’t wait to rip that dress off you tonight.”

“I love you too, but if you rip this dress, I might have to hurt you. Our daughter might want to wear it for her own ceremony.”

“OK, fine, I will slowly pull it off your body.”

She just smiled up at me and kissed me with so much love. We continued our dance and that’s when I noticed that Kane was dancing with Lucy who had the biggest smile on her face. This was the perfect night. Nothing would ever top this.
