Sophia’s Revenge – Chapter 69

Kane’s POV

When Sophia stepped out, she made my heart skip a few beats. She was absolutely breathtaking. I did a great job with the dress. The pictures she left up gave me a good idea of what she wanted. The smile on her face was making her glow.

We all managed to get through the ceremony without any tears. The second I took a drink of our b***d; you could feel our bond fully snap into place and a surge of power flowed through us. River had said that it was some of her power. That she had so much that it basically overflowed to us. He said we wouldn’t have powers but would be stronger and bigger.

I was currently dancing with Lucy, who had the biggest grin on her face. She was a happy child and had all of us wrapped around her finger in 24 hours. I was watching my mate dance with Xander, and I couldn’t wait for the song to be over so that it would be my turn. The song finally ended, and we made our way over to Sophia and Xander and asked her “Baby girl, can I have this dance?”

“Of course.” She said with a huge smile on her face.

Another slow song started to play for us, and I pulled her close telling her how beautiful she looked.

“Now you sound like Xander.” She said.

“Did he tell you how he couldn’t wait to rip that dress off you?”

“Yes, and there will be no ripping. Lucy may want to wear this dress at her own ceremony.”

“OK fine!” I pouted.

We finished our dance and made our way over to our table and sat down to eat some food. We had pack members approaching the table one by one to congratulate us. It was all a little overwhelming. Sophia had said she wanted to walk around a little and meet everyone. Xander said he would go with her. That left me by myself, and I wanted to check on security.

I left the party and walked over to our first group of guards and talked with them. They said everything had been quiet. I felt confident about things and headed back to the party. I found my way to Sophia and Xander and joined their conversation with the group of people they were talking to.

All of sudden there was a huge flash of light and several people appeared in front of us. People started to scream and get out of the way. We didn’t know what was going on.

“Sophia, you were warned yesterday that if you didn’t turn yourself over to us, then we would take you.” Said some man.

“You will not be taking me or will you harm anyone in this pack.”

“You will not be taking me or will you harm anyone in this pack.”

I could tell that Stella had taken over since her eyes were glowing and her voice was slightly different. I got several mind links at once saying there were breeches at all of our boarders.

“We are under attack, every please go to your station.” Boomed out Xander.

I tried to pull Sophia away to safety, but she wasn’t having it. She ran towards the man who appeared in front of her.

“Why do you want me?” She asked him.

“You were sold as a child to the rouge king. Your parents were murdered so that you could be sold. You don’t belong to these two. You never did, you just didn’t know it.” He answered her question.

“Who is the rouge king?” She asked.

“Oh, little girl, you will soon find out.”

“I will not being going anywhere with anyone.” As soon as she said that she shifted into Stella and attacked this man. He was surprised by her and that allowed her to take him down. This started a chain reaction, and everyone started to shift and attack anyone who didn’t belong here. There were more wolves moving in. Our security couldn’t hold them back, there were too many.

I jumped into the action and started to tear wolves apart. These were rouge wolves as they smelled horrible and tasted even worse when I got my teeth into them. I was looking for Sophia and saw that she was handling her own, so I went back to taking wolves down.

I saw Xander was surrounded by four rouges and another one that was large. I am guessing that he is an Alpha. I am not sure if he is the Alpha king or the B***d Pack Alpha. I ran towards them as fast as I could and ran straight into one and sent him flying. I turned and lunged at another one while Xander took on the other two. The Alpha that was sitting back watching us had snuck up behind me and got his paws around me and had me pinned to the ground. He put his teeth on my neck.

“Shift, now or I will rip your throat out!” He roared. I am not sure how he did that in his wolf form, but he did.

We both shifted back, and he had his hands around my throat.

“Sophia, where are you?” He yelled out.

Stella came running forward and quickly shifted back to her human form.

“Let him go now!” She yelled.

“The way I see it, is mate for mate. Is he not your mate?” The man asked.

Everyone had stopped fighting and was watching what was going on. Xander was circling us trying to find an opening to attack.

“You hurt one part of him, and I will rip you apart.” Yelled Sophia.

He reached up with both hands and I am not sure what happened because everything went black.

I started to fall through the blackness. I have had this feeling before. I knew I would be ok. The moon goddess was calling me. I just hope that I haven’t died. I fell for what felt like forever, finally landing on something fluffy and soft.

“My sweet child, how do you feel?” She asked me.

“I am fine, but did I die?”

“Yes, you did, and I am so sorry about that. It wasn’t supposed to be like this but the witches they were working with are very powerful.”

“Did Sophia or Xander die?”

“No, they are safe. They will continue to be safe.”

“Will she be OK; some wolves go crazy when they lose their mate?” I asked the moon goddess.

“She will because she still has Xander and now she has Lucy.”

“I can be at peace knowing she will be ok” I told her.

“My sweet child, you fulfilled your promise to me and in return I will grant you one wish. I will give you two options.”

“A wish, I don’t remember any of this?”

“Yes, we met before, and you promised me that you would care for Sophia and protect her from herself. With your love and care, she has grown so much and now has the confidence to do what she was put on the planet to do. Now you must choose one of two things. You can choose to go back and spend the rest of your life alongside Sophia and Xander or you can choose to let Sophia have a baby.”

“What do you mean have a baby? I thought she wasn’t able to?”

“She isn’t, but I have enough power to allow her to give birth once.”

I just stared at her for a few minutes. I didn’t want to leave her, I loved her so much, but I have also vowed to give her everything I could.
