Chapter 20: Her strong side

As Ashley loses face in front of her colleagues, she just can't accept defeat, Hannah was leading and she was the sole loser in all of this. She couldn't let this happen, this was not what she had planned for. She was hoping that the expert would admit that the Emerald ring was indeed fake. But that didn't happen, and that got her worried. Everyone in the company was throwing disgusting looks at her, their gaze was scary, Ashley did not want those eyes on her, she just wanted them on Hannah.

Her Boss shook his head, he warned her that the ring was the real deal, and she should have taken it and walked away, but she didn't and chose to try and ruin Hannah's life. She wanted to turn her into a joke so that she could quit her job, that had been her goal right from the first day, but Hannah was not the kind of woman who would give up so easily. She was going to fight with everything that she got.

It might not be easy but she was willing to give it a try. Hannah shook her head as she watched Ashley get humiliated, she was losing face in front of their colleagues and knew that she would not just accept it. Girls like Ashley reminded her of her step-sister, Jessica. They were always up to no good. There was nothing good about anything that they did. Another person who has been up to this silly scheme is her sister. She was the one who was out to destroy others and ruin their reputation. That was the same thing that Ashley was doing, She was so damn good at it and would have gotten away if the ring had turned out to be fake.

However, Hannah had a gut feeling that she was not going to let it go, she would try to fight back, and Ashley would not just walk away, that wasn't the girl that she knew, she was always out to fight her way through. Just as the thought flashed through her mind, Ashly burst into laughter.

"Is that the New way now? You are really something, Hannah Lockwood? I really thought that you had some decency still left in you even as a woman but you don't"

Her colleagues were curious, they wondered what Ashley was rambling about, this was not over yet even though they expected it to be since the Emerald ring was the real thing. However, Hannah did bother to speak up at that moment, she wanted to figure out what the annoying woman had coming for her. Of course, she will not make it any easy for her, she might do things that will discredit her in front of her colleagues but she was about to give up all.

"I know you stole that ring, you have a history of being a petty thing, the only thing that you haven't really gone to steal is money in the vault side you know that they will catch up with you. You enter a jewelry store and you still have some emerald ring just to show off, do you necessarily think that anyone will be impressed by those things, you thief?"

Her colleagues throw a disgusting look at Hannah, they had not expected she would be a common thief who shows up with stolen jewelry.

"I get it now while you whore yourself to other men, your husband is the one who does the stealing. No wonder no one has seen them at the company dinner and party, he must be a notorious Criminal, isn't he? The wife is the whore while the husband is a thief, the both of you make a really perfect match" She applauded Hannah. "I wonder why you still work here, this is not a place for thieves, you guys should keep your belongings intact before you see that one is missing, who knows she might be going to the church during another party" Ashley humiliated her and Shawn even more, her words cut deeper than Hannah had thought, one thing she hated was being called a whore. As she glanced around she realized that tables seem to have turned again and everyone was believing the crappy things that she had to say, no one even considered that she might just be lying about everything.

"Your husband is not a good person"

Hannah knew that she couldn't let her go about Rambling nonsense, she was trying to ruin her reputation at the company.

"Really is that so?" Hannah's eyes softened as she stood and apologized to everyone. "This jewelry you said is stolen, I know that my husband cannot do such a thing but since I am being accused, I cannot say much other than to apologize. Explain everything to Ashley privately" Hannah looked so pitiful, the tears in her eyes gave her away. She knelt down right before her colleagues gaining their sympathy once again, they walked away after Nodding their heads. "Please let's go talk somewhere"

Ashley could not refuse as she trailed behind Hannah, she led her to the rooftop of the building.

"What did you say you want to talk -"

While Ashley was still talking, Hannah was forced to throw a punch to her nose and she fell to the ground. That was the last thing that she had expected. However, she crosses the line, Hannah will accept shades and insults being thrown at her but never will she accept anyone insulting Shawn. Ashley was insane for doing all that and now she was not going to let her off the hook.

"You silly, woman, how dare you throw a punch at me?" She glared at Hannah. The other doesn't bother to talk to her, climbing on top of her body, Hannah beats her up, making her get on her knees while she bleeds from her nose, her head shelved.

"If you had not opened your mouth to insult my husband then we won't even be doing this," Hannah poked on her forehead. She pulled on Ashley's hair and she winced.

"I won't do it again, I promise you that it won't happen again, I swear to you that I won't do anything so stupid like that again, I have learned my lesson and will not bother to throw insults at your husband" She was terrified, the look on Hannah's face was not something that she hoped for. This woman right here was scary and she didn't want to end up in the hospital next to Mike or worse dead, she had no clue what she was capable of and wouldn't want to find out that at all.

Meanwhile, G had come up to the rooftop before he met with some brokers, he had seen what was happening between the two women and recorded everything before sending it over to Shawn. It was really funny having to watch her, but then he needed to leave before she realized that he had seen her.

Hannah turned around and walked away leaving Ashley on the rooftop, she knew that she would not come back to the company, at least not today, she was going to take the rest of the day off and would not bother her for a while. Throughout the rest of the day, she focused on her job before heading back home. Ashley and Mike were the only ones who made the office a hostile place for her, nevertheless, since they were not around today, she had all her inner peace intact.

When Shawn received the video, he watched it over and over again, it was really fun having to watch Hannah give Ashley a taste of her own medicine. The more he watched it, the more that he liked it. He had no clue that Hannhs had a strong side, which was surprising to him. He thought

His thoughts were soon Interrupted by the presence of Hannah as she walked into the house, Shawn shot a smile at her looking at her.

"How was your day?" He asked as he put his phone into his pocket, moving closer to her and embracing her tightly, he knew that she must have had a hard time at work, that was the only thing that would push her to hear Ashley up.

"Good, it was hectic but I can survive"

"You sure can, did something happen at work today?"

"Just the regular boring work and more meetings, we just have to do it right else the boss will lash out at us"

"It must be hard"

She shook her head, it wasn't really difficult. If it wasn't for Ashley and Mike who were trying to make her life a living hell then none of these would be happening, but she was glad that today she did what she had hoped to do right from the very first day that she set her eyes on Ashley. That was payback for the words and humiliation that she had to get at the company, now When she looks through the mirror, she will realize that she was not to be messed around with.

"Work is just fine, have you had anything to eat or should I make dinner for you?"

"There is dinner for you in the pot if you want to eat"

"Thanks" As she was about to walk away, Shawn held her hand and glanced at her knuckles, he saw dried blood on them and exhaled almost the same time that Hannah slipped her hand away. "Are you alright?"

"I know something happened at work, tell me what it is"

She could not keep it away from him for so long as she held his hand and led him off to the couch.

"I beat up Ashley"

"Are you alright?"

'of course, I am, she had it coming, humiliating me by calling my ring fake, and when it was proven it wasn't fake, she insisted that I had stolen it and that while I whore myself to me, you are the thief who steals jewelry"

Hannah told him everything that happened, Shawn could tell that she was still very mad at Ashley, and if given the opportunity would not hesitate to beat her up again just so she would not have to say that ever again at him.

"I understand that you were mad but I know you won't have beat her up because she humiliated you, why did you beat her up?"

Hannah was hesitant, and could not possibly tell him that she had beaten him because she couldn't allow her to talk bad about him.

"Come on, tell me" He tickled her and she smiled, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, she stared at him, running her index finger on his face. Shawn wanted this as well. "Tell me why" He kisses the nape of her neck, caressing her cheek" "No, it's nothing, alright Shawn"

He kisses her face, running his I decided finger on her lips, Shawn wonders what it would feel like to have those lips on him. He rakes his hand through her hair and captures her lips without even giving it another thought. "Now tell me why"

"I cannot watch her insult you, she can say mean things about me and I will let them off the hook but I can not find that when it comes to you"

As she admitted those words to him, he captured her lips once again, his hands teased the hollow between her perky breasts. Shawn lowered her lips to his before Kissing got with the usual fervor, their kisses were wild and hot, driving them both insane. The kisses that he bestowed upon her awakened her senses but it was not only her as he felt the same way, he had never felt this strong pull towards anyone.

"Come with me, sleep with me tonight in my room" She blinked her eyes
