Chapter 43: The Attack

"So that means that you don't know who attacked you, is that it?"

"Yes, I wish that I knew about it but I don't and you what the funny part is" "What is it?"

"I am here because I am trying to find that person" he laughed. Hannah blinked her eyes she did not find that funny at all. The thing about the entire thing was that someone attacked him, an identified criminal is far more dangerous than anything. She might not really much about crimes but she remembered one time that a Party was held in the Alpha's house and they were all invited.

She had to attend as well even though she had nothing much to do in the pack but since it was the Alpha's order, everyone needed to attend as well. The party was going so well and everyone was having a good time until someone attempted to assassinate the Alpha by poisoning him and that was a really bad thing since that was a party.

However, they didn't pay much attention to the waiters who had served the food since it wasn't Someone that no one knew his identity, it was hard for them to find the culprit and that made everyone nervous.

He knew that he was in a similar situation where you don't know who attacked you, that it makes you nervous and you don't even know what to do or how to go about it.

Since no one knew who attacked the alpha in the pack, it took a long time for the culprit to be found. But all those times she heard that the Alpha was living in fear and that was Normal. However Shawn was a bit like that, he only had to take on someone else identity to make sure that bastard doesn't end up raising his fingers at him and his people ever again. He was fortunate to survive the last attempt and this might have been bad for him but he survived and now he was going to find the man who was keeping him away from returning to the the pack, to his family. He knew the situation back home.

G filled him in on it every time. He doesn't Fail to do so and he loved that about him as well if it hadn't been for him who keeps him up to date, he would have missed out on the important things that were happening back in the pack.

"I don't think that is funny at all, Do you think that there are seven lives? Someone tried to hurt you, I know what happened to the man that once tried to kiss my Alpha, he was dismembered and that served as a deterrent to others who were trying to make such an attempt, an attempt to kill the Alpha is like a threat to the entire tribe, some might start to think that the Alpha is weak and others might sympathize with them, the ones who do these don't even trust that the Alpha will come back alive, these are the Alpha's supporters and those who believe in him while the rest are like his family and si if course they will support him even from afar. The thing is that you will never really know who will support the Alpha during this time, Though there are friends who stick closer than Blood brothers during this time and that is what makes it better for the Alpha"

She did not have G in mind when she said those words yet it felt as though she was talking about Shawn and his friendship with G. He was really the one who has stuck close to him despite his attitude and sometimes he scolds him when he does something wrong. The two of them have become so close that anyone who doesn't know will think that they

are brother. He smiled and Hannah arched up her brow at him. "what's Funny? Did I say anything amusing or did you remember something?"

She already knew that it was the latter but somehow she just wanted to know if he would really tell her about it or not.

"I think I just remembered something"

"Oh," she did not want to ask him what it was that he remembered so that she could be relieved, but then that would be silly since that had Nothing to do with what they were talking about, she was asking after another thing and if she asks him about her then it will mean that she really want to know about it and he might assume that she was being nosy.

"By the way, I want to ask you, what happens to these friends or brothers who stick closer to the Alpha?" For a moment, he was eager to know how everything would turn out to be. She threw a quizzical look at him and wondered why he was asking her that as if she was a sorceress who sees the future, all the words she had said were from a little experience as well from what happened in her town back then.

She totally forgot all about that horrible experience because in those times everyone lived in fear and no one wants to go to the mountains or run to the woods at night because they were sure that they might meet the crazy fellow who tried to have the Alpha killed. She wasn't really scared since she knew that she doesn't walk on the street at night and was preoccupied with taking care of her mother in the hospital so the killer would not come looking for her, he seemed to have a personal vendetta against the Alpha and she was not part of it.

"How will you ask me that? I don't know it is not like I see the future, I only said what I think might be the answer, I am not even sure if it is anymore you know"

"I know but I want to hear it all, for some reason, your words might be helpful so please don't hold back and tell me what you think will happen to your close friends and family?"
