Chapter 44: His injury

He sounded desperate and she couldn't just ignore her at this time. Her words were something else to him, for some reason her words strangely had meaning, and that was something that she could not fathom. "It depends"

"On what?"

"Like it depends on the culprit, what is his motive for attacking the Alpha?"

"You are right, every killer has a motive" Shawn had forgotten all about it, he admired her, she seemed so little, anyone else who had underestimated her was out of his mind because she was someone to be taken seriously and there was something about her that he just can't wrap his head around. She was different, different from the girls in his pack the Ones that he had met, even though she had a simple lifestyle, she still was very beautiful.

"Like every killer has a motive and most times it might be a personal vendetta that they had a with a fellow Alpha from another pack or with someone else, all the same, it might be a vendetta and only the alpha is killed, the pack members are saved and so are the rest of the Alpha's family but in others times they might be just then a personal vendetta and this more dangerous because the culprit might end up wiping the entire Alpha's lineage just so he can get his way and put an end to the alpha, it might be that he is very close to the Alpha and knows that when the Alpha is dead, he might be the next in line"

"And in other Times?"

"It might just be a war, an altercation between two Pack and the pack is affected, like I said before it depends on the motive of the killer, only then will you know why you are being attacked" she stated matter of factly, but then something already tells her that she already knew what sort of attack that was been placed in him, he might not know who the culprit was but he knew a lot more but she will not want to ask him about it since she doesn't know if it will end up triggering something about his past and the attack. "You haven't told me about the Alpha's Friend?"

"Some if they stay until the end and others don't stay at all, they will end up sacrificing so much so that the Alpha will survive and lead the pack, that is their fate, most times it is the Alpha's Beta and other times it is someone else"

He nodded his head, G would not be passed off as the Beta that was not possible, the one who he could be passed off as all these was his friend. G has stuck close to him for so long, and if anything he loves him very much, he will not want anything to happen to him or anyone that he loves and cares about.

He raked his hand through his hair, she could tell that he was worried about something and she was worried about him as well. Nevertheless, she was not going to ask him what he was thinking about except he wanted to talk about it instead she was going to ask him the one question that had been lingering in her mind ever since she heard that someone attacked him.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You can ask me, Hannah"

"His did it feel?"

"How did what feel?"

"How did it feel to have that Injury?"

"How did you know that I was Injured"

"Seriously? Are you going to ask me that? Isn't it obvious that you were injured since you said that someone attacked you, I though that you were injured as well, isn't that the case?"

"No that is not the case but you are right, I got injured, and my wolf?"

"Are you alright?" She quickly asked and he arched up his brow at her, he had not seen her this worried over something.

"I mean your wolf" as if she sensed what she just said, she added so that he didn't assume that she was being way too forward, first she asked him to into her room, and now she was overly caring about him. Not that it was bad or that he was not meant to Dre about her, but they just found out about each other's identity, she needed time to think and sink In everything that happened and so did he even though he already knew that she was not the real bride from the first day, he wasn't aware of the situation until, and so being too forward might not be good.

"I was asking after your wolf and not you" That sounded even more stupid than she had imagined. But Shawn understood perfectly, she was worried about him but wasn't aware how she would feel, she doesn't always feel right making the first move.

"I know you were asking for both, when I was attacked, it got hurt as well"

"How was the injury?"

"It was pretty intense, bad but what troubled me back then was my wolf, I thought that it would be alright but it wasn't, it took a while for it to get better at fighting, k had to train and run to the mountains Sometimes; morning, afternoon, and even at night. I know that I could not hide out here for so long and one day I have to return home and reclaim what's mine"

"Reclaim what's yours?" she had to whisper. That was true, she didn't know why hope lies in store for her, she couldn't stop him from doing it if the time came and he had to return home, he had a pack and it would be selfish for her to tell him to stay with her. Though she had no clue what was running and what he was going to tell her on that very day.

She doesn't even know what will happen to the two of them, they might go about their separate ways and live as though this marriage never really happened.

"What?" He knew she wanted to ask something

"I want to you something and you will have to be honest with me"
