Chapter 46: Their Moments

"You are married, who are you married to?"

"Well you see that I am married to a certain woman that I want somewhere back in a small town, we got married and lived there for a short while before coming over to this place"

She laughed, she was talking about him and he just knew that the way that he sounded was just so different from everything else and she knew that. She did not consider that he was going to be talking about her, for a moment she got scared just thinking that he had married someone else husband and that person she was taking Someone else husband from him and that was something that she didn't want at all.

"What?* He arched up his brow at her Looking at her face, there was some sign of relief, she had not expected that he would say all those things to her and he saw them right there in his eyes. he had no clue why she had that thought that he was pregnant, he will not be that stupid to get married to another woman in his pack and now ruin her life. He was bit that wicked even if he was trying to stay low for a while after the attack on him.

The thing was that the town that moved to was very secure and no one would dare recognize him at all. He had to start keeping his bears and most people did not know who Alpha Liam was. whispered a few had heard stories of his many tales, but others just wouldn't believe and thought it was nothing more than just an old tale that no one should believe, that was what it was to him and he didn't mind at all as long as it his him away from his enemies and made his pack to assume that he was already dead, he didn't mind at all for that. "What is it that?"

"You thought that I would be married and then come to you so that you would be married as well. If I was married, despite being on another identity, I wouldn't have married you, I am not that sort of man, what will become of you when all of these end?"

That was the same thought that was lingering in her mind even though they were married and she was his only bride. She believed him when he said that it was only going to be her, she believed everything that he said to her, Shawn wasn't the kind of man who would want to betray the woman that he married, he might lie to protect her but that was as far as his lies can go, she saw right through him as she observed the lines on his face, every crease that he was different, and right there she saw the truth that he was different indeed. "I know you are not that kind of man, you have been to the company and seen other beautiful women, you could easily walk up to them, women are always interested in handsome men and you know this"

"I don't know this, I only know that I am interested in looking at my wife"

"Don't be so cheesy, that is not what I am saying, this is me trying to prove a point and you are not helping matters"

"I don't like that point that you are trying to prove, you can change it please, it doesn't seem right, I hate it when people look at some One else when they are married or in a relationship, that is the ground for cheating"

She nodded her head. "I know this, Mike, he kept looking at other women when we were, and most times that I would catch him doing it, he would deny it and gradually get started cheating on me, and before I could get to figure out what was happening, he had gone far and was accusing me of being the reason for his cheating.

"How are you the one who made it happen"

"That was the same question that I asked and he said he cheated on me because I was a bastard, can you believe that? Is that even an excuse? Who cheats on Someone because of being an illegitimate child. No one should be looked down on for being a bastard child, every day of my life he made me feel worse and other times I just hoped that there was a way that I could find a way to get rid of my illegitimacy, felt like that was the problem in everything. Maybe I can get rid of it, but that never happened"

He smiled, he felt the pain but knew that she was a strong woman and would not allow all that to try and weigh her down, she had a good life now and that was Something that he never imagined.

He was glad that she was a very strong woman, if it wasn't for that then some of the things that were happening would not have weighed her down heavily, but then she didn't mind at all. She did not care about working with Mike and Ashley in the same office, it wasn't everyone that could do that.

"He looked down on me every single day sometimes I cried, but because he was looking down on me for a bastard because of my mother, she was also getting affected by the situation, that was something that I could not best, I love my mother, and I know that she must be feeling my pain as well"

"Now all that pain is gone, you have me and here I thought I punched him too hard but it turns out that I did the right thing"

"oh you did, if you didn't do it, I would have ruined his life and he was asking for it that night, I wish there was a way to stop seeing their ugly faces" Glancing at the wall clock and realizing how much time had gone by, she had to get to work.
