Chapter 48: Being Different

"When you get back to the house, what do you do?"

"I already have my brother cleaning the house so I am not worried"

She arched up her brow at her colleague, her blatant stare not wavering from her as she waited for her to say something else. That was not the response that she was waiting for.

"And?" She asked seeing that she was not making an attempt to say another word.

Hannah would not have even said anything but then her colleague was not making any attempt to move away and she needed her to go so that she could have time to herself to go through her work and then think about what happened this morning with Shawn. Though he had told her that his name was Liam, and she preferred. it even more but then she did not want to be the one who suddenly started calling him that. She has no clue how he will take it all and she doesn't want to be too pushy and start doing things that she is not meant to do.

"When I get back to the house, sometimes I just run through the work I brought from the office if it is choked up or I didn't get to complete it. By the way, if I don't have anything at all that I am doing then I will get to use my couch and stream through any of the movie sites that I Know"

"You watch movies?" Hannah was surprised to hear that. She could not imagine the look on the faces of the last time that she watched movies. Perhaps it was even before she graduated from high school or during her college days, she wasn't really sure which one it was. "Yes, don't you?"

"I do but not all the time, I only watch movies when I am my nit doing anything and that is mostly during the weekend" she lied, she would not want to be called Ms. Boring or for anyone to think that she was being too much. She loves watching movies but not all the time and right now was no longer the time for her to start watching any movie at all. She had other things to do included taking care of her family and her mother who was sick in the hospital. If she doesn't really take care of her then it will not be good for her. "Why do you choose only the weekend to watch movies?"

"That is the only time that I think is convenient for me and I have other important things to do so I don't do anything that is not needed"

"But the boss watches movies on weekdays and he still comes very early, I bump into him sometimes in the cinema and other times I bump Into him taking a walk with his wife, that is something you know"

"Well I don't think that you should follow him, he has a wife and Maid servants who prepare his coffee, set his table, and do other necessary things but you don't have any of those and I don't think that your brother is an early morning person"

"No, he isn't, he is a content creator so a part of the house is for his business, he wakes up by Nine in the morning and sometimes in the evening. I don't think that his work is that stressful"

"Being a content creator is also stressful and interesting, you will have to brainstorm for ideas and a lot of things and that is something that you should know, but then you will say that there is flexibility since he is self-employed and no one will scold him if he comes to work late unlike you. I think you should check your schedule before heading to the cinema on weekdays, but during weekends you can enjoy yourself, have fun, and loosen up a little"

"I think that I will try this, I do not want to be fired, The boss is already mad at me since I was late the other day and made him lose an important client"

Hannah did not say anything since she heard about it when she was going around at work, she did not know that it was her that got into the boss's bad book and now he was threatening to fire her.

"You heard about it right I have been with this company and I don't want to leave on a bad note, It is not easy to get jobs these days, they are hard to come by and I don't think that I am ready to make that move yet, what I want to do is to find a way and make up for the client that I made the Boss lose else i will never hear the end of it"

"You just do that and see how it goes for you"

"Thank you dear"

Hannah looked at her as she walked away she never imagined the day that she would have to counsel someone about getting to work early, she had not even realized that her colleagues noticed what was going on in the office and that they were looking at her even when she was busy with her work. As she leaned back on her seat, she exhaled, a lot of things of things flashed through her mind and she smiled just imagining Shawn sitting next to her, she loved how they were able to finally be honest with each other, she never really thought that it was possible till it happens and now she felt so light, if only she had known that Shawn was not going to judge her then perhaps she would have been honest with him from the first day.

She also did not regret waiting and hoped that they learn from each other until the right time. When she thought of what Shawn said about someone attacking him, she became worried again just imagining what would happen to him if the attacker was not caught, picking up her telephone she was about to call him up when someone suddenly held her hand.
