Chapter 51

"Talk to me Hannah" Shawn was very concerned with how she just stared at him without saying a word, he knew that the attraction that he had talked about had been the cause of all of this, but then he thought that they would talk about it instead of giving her the room for her to cool off.

That was no more time, the man who was after him was becoming overly aggressive and he feared that he might get to her before anyone else, he could not just leave her and depart, That would be horrible, they had spent so much time together and he has gotten close to her, it wasn't just the closeness that made him say that, he felt the Bond right from the first day, the attraction between them was something inevitable, he did not know why she did not feel the same way but he was not making up stories. For so many times he had tried to tell her, he kept pushing it away but tonight he finally decided to since the enemy was encroaching and drawing nearer, that felt like the only way to convince her to go with him.

He knew Hannah was a very stubborn and strong woman she could take care of herself but she had no clue who the culprit was as much as he did not so he could not just take chances and let her be all alone in this house and in the city with no one to care for her, that will make him a bad husband and every memory that they have shared to be something worthless. Hannah did not deserve that, she had lost so much and had suffered too much to be in another pain, and she did not want to cause her any harm.

Shawn does not be the person who will cause her pain, Many people have hurt her and he does not want to be among them, he wants her to remember him as the one who was her husband and they shared many beautiful memories together so he was going to keep her safe and the only way he can do that is by making sure that she lives with him back to his hometown where his parents are if they are all together he would make sure that she does not become the next victim.

"What do you want me to say?"

"I don't know, just say anything, anything you say at this moment will be alright than keeping silent, your Silence is killing me and it's driving me nuts, it will be much better to hear the words from your mouth than your silence"

"but I don't know what to say what you're asking me to do is too much, you're saying this because you think that we are mates but I don't think the same, I already told you that I don't feel anything there is nothing that I feel for you as regards to this attraction that you talk about" "Hannah" he whispered. She was hurting him with his words, that was the last thing that he expected, she was acting as if he was a stranger, he would never lie to her, he knows that a lot of people must have lied to her, her father who made her believe that as soon as she gets married to him she will get the dowry and there was Mike, her ex, he was the worst of all, the words that come from his mouth can never to be trusted and Hannah was the fool who fell for it until she realizes herself.

"I am not lying to you if that is what you are insinuating,"

"I never said you were" She raked her hand through her hair wondering why he was assuming another thing. Her words might not have been the best, they came out wrong, that was not what she meant and she regretted it right away but then the words had already jumped out of her mouth and she could not take them back. she has hurt him just as she had done the first time when she informed him that she needed to cool off and take a moment to sink in everything that he has said to her.

"But your words implied so, what exactly do you mean there?"

"you know what Shawn, I think we should just call it a night, I can't do this right now, why don't we talk in the morning"

Glancing at the wristwatch, by morning it would have been already late for him since his parents were in the hospital and he needed to get right back to them that moment. he ran his hand across his face.

"I don't think we should wait till tomorrow, why don't you just tell me what you have in mind now"

She arched. She could not fathom why he was being so insistent on talking that night and getting her response when there was still tomorrow, she was exhausted from work and just wanted to jump into her bed take a long nap, cool off, and then make a decision tomorrow, but Shawn will not let her he wanted her response as quick as possible so they could hit the road and arrive in his pack, his hometown almost immediately, and he could see his parents.

His mind will only be at rest if he knows that they are all right and out of danger so the hospital has assured him that they are taking care of everything but he wanted to be there to see how everything turns out and to protect them from the man who was trying to end his life if only he could lay his hands on him right away, he will not hesitate to decapitate his head. that will go a long way but it can never make up for all the pain and suffering that he has cuz his Park and his family, he has challenged him and threatened the entire Alpha family and that was something that is not to be taken lightly.

"Honestly Sean, I think we should just talk tomorrow, by then I will have made a decision and you will and I will let you know about it but if you keep insisting I don't know what to say"

"I know that this came all of a sudden but you have to understand that, I will not be asking if it's not that urgent, something happened and I would like to tell you right away but then I don't want you to respond out of pity, I want to hear what you have to say, and so please think it through and tell me, we cannot be separated not right now, you know what we are even if you don't feel it, I am not lying to you someday you might be able to feel it, I know you will"

She was getting tired of this conversation but then this was Shawn and no one else, no matter how tired she was she knew she had to open up to him at some point, or else he was not going to give up, they were just almost the same they never give up until they get what they want.

"do you really want me to tell you?"

"The thing is Shawn I don't..." she paused and looked into his eyes once again, his heart raced
