She cleared her throat, of course, she wanted to know all that but she did not want to admit to him that she really was eager to know. however Shawn saw right through her, she knew the kind of wife that he had gotten married to and had refused to divorce when she brought it up, Hannah was the kind of woman who was going to give you a hard time before she admitted to something that she really wanted. "Forget it, I'm only interested in what happened to your parents and nothing more" She knows the pain of having your parents being sick or hurt by another person, her mother lived all through her life facing the same dilemma of being taunted by her stepmother and everyone else who knew her, they thought that she was the woman who tried to seduce a married man.

she understood fully that if something had happened to his parents, he would be in a lot of pain and would not show it because of her, nevertheless, she wanted to hear all about it that way she would know how to comfort him even though she was not going to admit to him why she really does not want to go with him to his pack.

"you want to know?"

"tell me about your parents Shawn, what kind of wife would I be if I decided not to know what happened to your mother or father? I want to know what the enemy has done to them"

He was amazed and at the same time happy that she was not letting their personal problems get in the way of her thinking and judgment.

"Why are you so surprised?"

"I don't know I just thought that...I thought that you would not want to know what happened"

"And why won't I? You sound as if I am horrible"

He shook his head. " that is not what I mean"

"what is it then that you mean?" she folded her arms waiting for his response, however when he looked into her eyes, he studied the lines on her face, if he went any further he knew he was bound to end up arguing with her and that was not how this night should end as well.

"What?" she waited but he was not saying a word. " you know what? Forget I said anything, you are just as complicated as I thought" She rolled her eyes and walked away, as she walked past him he tried to hold her hand but she quickly yanked her arm away from him. I said forget it"

"Hannah seriously? stop being so difficult all the time, I was going to tell you all right, I was just caught by the moment"

"moment? What moment? that was supposed to be a question for a quick response and not one you give so much talk to all the time, you are the one who is being difficult, and yet you put it all on me as if I am the one shielding"

"I know that you are trying, and I never said that you aren't, I just thought that maybe we could do more, like talk about it like you started the other time"

"I told you everything right, I never hid anything from you"

"I know and I'm not saying that you did, but I am saying that we should repeat the last time again"

"I don't have anything to say to you, I have already told you everything, I never left the fact that I was a substitute bride or about my mother to you, I told you things I've never told anyone, told you that I was an illegitimate child who was not Loved by her father and mistreated by her stepmother and sister, what else do you want me to say?"

"I know that's not all Hannah"

she was taken aback by his words, did he see right through her? what was it all about? She thought she hid it very well so that he will not get to figure out that she was not going to admit the reason why she never wanted to follow him to his pack. "What are you talking about? I told you everything"

"I know you told me everything about yourself, but you haven't told me the reason why you don't want to come with me to my pack and don't start making up stories about jobs and other things because I know that deep down that is more than you're saying" she glared at him and he squared his jaw stubbornly. " is that all?"

"what do you mean, is that all? Of course that is it and I really want answers from you, Hannah, you just can't keep going back and forward all the time. I really want us to talk and I want you to tell me why you don't want to come with me to my pack" "you've already made your decision what's there to talk about"

"one thing is for me to make a decision and another is for me to carry it out, it is not like that I am not still going to go ahead with my plans but I just want to hear your reasons is that so much to ask?"

"forget it, I don't want to talk about anything else" She walked towards her bedroom and he chased after her, he was not going to let her go, not when he knew that she was having something in her mind and doesn't want to let it out. "Hannah please, talk to me don't be this way, it is not good for both of us"

"for both of us or for you?" she halted and looked at him, he was not giving up on her, and that made her almost smile, his persistence was something that she admired yet she could not admit to it, and had him get to her heart once again. "what do you mean for me? everything that I have done has been for the both of us, I cared about you a lot alright from the first day that we got married"

"I don't want to talk about that day and can you please give me a moment, I want to freshen up and don't need you being at my back all the time"

"Alright I will, but after you're done you are coming out right?"

"That depends"
