"If you promise not to bother me, then I will come out for dinner else I will just take my breakfast in the morning and I'll be off to work" "come on Hannah, don't be this way"

"If you are going to bother me, you better tell me so that I don't bother to come out"

Shawn didn't say a word and just looked at her, her blatant stare not wavering from him as well, She did not want to do this but then he pushed her to the wall when he decided that he was going to leave the house and leave her alone looking like a fool in the morning. this was her time for payback and she would make him beg her just a little more before she would think about giving him.

"I need to go freshen up" she finally said seeing that he was not about to speak up anytime soon. he nodded his head watching her as she walked away, Shawn wanted to chase after her but then she had to let her go. he did not want to make it seem as though he was trying to force her to have a conversation with him just as she returned from work, she need to freshen up and come down for dinner before any other thing.

"Hannah" he ran his hand through his hair as he watched her enter her room and shut the door. "This woman is so hard-headed" he shook his head and went off to the kitchen to prepare dinner, he was not the perfect cook but he could make a simple dinner for them to eat and he wanted to please Hannah so that she could forgive him and give him a listening ear. he was aware that his actions last night man might not have been the best, but it was the only way that he could stop her from getting more angry and since she wanted to cool off that was the right time for her to cool off.

when he was preparing dinner, Hannah walked into the kitchen, she was surprised to see him with an apron, making dinner for them.

"what are you doing?"

"I'm trying to fix dinner for us"

"And I told you to let it go I will be the one to fix it"

"What husband will I be if I let you fix dinner just after your return from work"

she shook her head, disbelievingly. " if you are going to fix dinner, why didn't you do it all along before I came home"

"did you have to wait for me to come back before you can fix it? or were you hoping that I will see you? which was it, Shawn"

"I just wanted us to do it together, I need an extra hand in the kitchen"

"Are you being serious right now?" she furrowed. "Why do you ever need an extra hand in the? who needs an extra hand in the kitchen?"

"Yes I do need an extra hand"

"And you want me to help you?" "yes, Hannah"

"you can step out of the kitchen and I will handle the dinner, I don't think I will need your help trying to fix dinner for us"

"come on with a partner, you do the cooking while I cut the vegetables, you know every project is better when project partners are two and not one, and so is this pair right here"

"I don't think cooking is going to need all those hands that you are insinuating" She wanted him to leave the kitchen so that she could have her space and frown at him even more.

"For others, but not for us, I told you we are Partners and I'm not leaving your side not even for a moment so you better get into the kitchen" Before I could get a chance to object he held her hand and dragged her into the kitchen taking off the apron and hanging it around her neck, she stares into his eyes wondering how only one man could make her feel this way. when he revealed that she was her mate, deep in her heart she wanted it to be true but then there was no bond that she had felt, and she couldn't perceive the scent of her mate, which made it impossible For her to believe.

clearing her throat, she walked to the kitchen top and looked at the things that he had gotten from the supermarket, Shawn was improving than before, now he could buy a whole item that would be needed for dinner without forgetting anything and she was impressed. the few times that they had gone to the supermarket together she made him pick everything they were going to need for the month.

"you bought this yourself"

"Yes I did"

"I did not have a hand?"

"no one offered me a hand I remember the ones that you got the last time, and so I followed your list, and I know that this is your favorite so I wanted us to make it"

"so you wanted to Appease me for what you did last night"

"no, I did not, I wanted to something your house so that we can talk and forget about what happened last night and the other time I swear. this night I wanted to be different"

She did not bother to say another thing as she continued from where he had stopped, She sensed that he was looking at her even though she had not turned back to meet his gaze. "can you stop staring at me and cut the vegetables?"

"I am not staring at you, I'm just watching you cook so that I will learn to be a better one"

"Seriously? Are you going to use such sleazy tricks on me"

"Okay, fine, I am looking at you, what's wrong with that?"

"it's uncomfortable, if you want me to make dinner then you better stop looking at me, and just do the damn vegetables or I will leave the kitchen so you can finish it up when I watch you, instead" "Hannah"

"you choose, Shawn, which is it going to be" She tapped her fingers on the top
