Chapter 76: Off to his Pack

As Shawn and Hannah hit the road, Hannah stared out the window she could still shake off the feeling that perhaps this was all wrong and might end up not in her favor. however, she could no longer back out at all since she had promised Shawn that she was going to go back home with him and she was going to keep her promise until the very end no matter what happens.

"Is something on your mind?" he glanced at her as he continued driving down the road. Shawn was not a fool, he had sensed that she was herself the moment he started putting the luggage into the Trunk of the car. She has not said a word to him and will only smile, she saw that he was happy going back home and did not want to ruin it by bringing up something that they had already discussed. Hannah was far from being happy, she was leaving Garden City a place she had had peace of mind for so long ever since she got married to Shawn, and was moving to somewhere else, somewhere she wasn't even sure she was ever going to have peace of mind nor going to be accepted. However, she has no choice. She does not want to be a killjoy and start nagging him about it over again, that will bring them back to where they started.

"What could be?"

"I don't know but I thought that perhaps you have something going on in your mind, that is why you keep staring out the window not looking at me"

"There is nothing on my mind I'm just happy for you"

Shawn could not get her at all, but then he could not believe that she was entirely happy for him, he knew that she must be worried sick about the whole outcome of this journey and if his parents were going to accept her. He had a feeling that they would since they have always wanted him to find his mate and so they would not push her away or make him reject her because he was not going to. She has stayed with her for so long and for the long while he has stayed with her, he had come to realize that she was the best thing that's ever happened to him in his life in a long while.

"I am with you, you don't have to worry about anything and I can assure you that everyone will like you for who you are"

"You sound so sure, what if they don't want me and this all turns out wrong? what if no one likes me at all what are you going to do about it?"

"I already told myself that I will choose you over everyone and so whoever doesn't like it then that's their problem to bear but I like you and that is all that matters"

"You are the alpha of the park, you will not even be with me all the time and I will get to be with your parents and the rest of your relatives who need it, I will get to meet your Beta and along with your Omegas. what if they don't like me and I try to do something that will hurt me you should be rest assured that I will back down, I have never Back Down from anyone and I will not start about that now"

Shawn was not surprised by her words, he expected that. She was not the sort of woman to be messed around with. She doesn't show you her feelings and will give anyone who tried to pick her up a taste of their own medicine, he had seen it happen when it came to Ashley. G had sent him that video of Hannah beating her up, and he knew that she was not an easy target. if anything she was going to get back at anyone who came her way just as she got back on Ashley and she had to stay away from work for a long time.

he did not bother asking her what happened to Ashley for he was satisfied that she got a little revenge against her, and the whole love triangle must have ended as Hannah was leaving the company and going with him to his pack.

"I'm not asking you to back down and I will never ask you for that because I already know that you will not back down from anyone, If anyone tries to bully you, I am sure that you will have to do what you have to do at all times and I will not get mad at you if that is what you think you're thinking"

"Are you sure about that? this is easier said than done, you're saying this now but what about when it happens? who are you going to stand back for? who are you going to stand by their side? is it going to be me or the rest of the other people who choose to make my life a living hell? I have suffered too much and don't think I can take any more of it again,"

"You are my mate and I think that is enough for you to believe that I will always be by your side"

That was enough for Hannah to close her mouth and just stare at him without saying anything to all, She was not expecting him will say that, but now that he did, She was lost for words, which had come to her like a shock, she hasn't been the only woman that he must have been with but then the way he seem to care about her made her forget about everything that she has been through.

"I promise you that you will not regret going with me to my pack"

"I know and thank you for saying that "

"You don't need to thank me since we already made love and besides I've marked you, what else is remaining? I think that will be for me to announce the Luna of my pack"
