Chapter 96: The Enemy

When Shawn saw Hannah his eyes lit up as he got down from the car I rushed towards her, and Shawn engulfed her tightly as if she would disappear if he let her go. Hannah was surprised, but then she just smiled and kept quiet letting him have his moment. She could tell he must have been so worried sick about him since she left the house to go for a jog, however, she did not expect someone to have followed her and for them to try to poison her while she was jogging. the enemy must be braver than she thinks, but then Hannah was so angry that someone would try such a stupid thing with her outside in public.

"What happened? why did you leave the house?"

"Your mother saw me coming out of your room this morning and I did not want to stay and have an altercation with her, so I had to leave the house I pretended to be jogging besides I already got my jogging attire back in Garden City and wanted to try it out here, Since you are still asleep I had to at least leave the house. I thought jogging was the best thing that I could do and that no one would see me since there were a lot of people jumping as well but then, I guess I was mistaken and the enemy did finally try to do something to me" "What did he do?"

"I was starving so I entered the restaurant to have a meal, some waffles or pancakes, but then when I looked up the glass of orange juice to have a sip of it I realized that there was a white substance on the lid of the glass, they must have spiked my drink with the hope that I will take all of this liquid in, but they had no clue that I already noticed there was something off with the way everyone was looking at me and the drink in my hand as well was weird so I did not bother eating anything" "You are hungry?"

"Yes I am of them that doesn't matter anymore at least I am glad that you are all right"

"Why won't I be alright, you are the one who is out there yet you are worried about me" "What about your parents?"

"You don't have to bother about them besides my mum wasn't even worried that such thing must have happened to you, she acted so nonchalantly and did not want to let me come and meet you. however she can never change my mind and so I had to come out, I left her at the dining table alone With My Father, I don't have the strength which is why I tell you not to bother about them at all and just think about yourself"

"I can't do that, we are a family and families help each other out. the best thing I can do is to always hope that she will be safe, I said that the enemy must be watching all of us but especially me, I noticed now that with every turn I take I feel like someone is watching me, and following me and every step I took out of the house and it is making me lose my mind. I hate being watched and I hate being followed, why don't you just come out and let us know who the enemy is that way we'll have a better chance at defeating him. Instead, he is hiding in shadows"

Shawn pulled her in his arms once

more stroking her back gently, Hannah was a strong woman, but for her to be so angry only meant that she was scared for her life and life of the people that she cared about. She wasn't sure what would happen to any one of them any other woman in her place might not have realized that that drink was spiked but she did at first glance and that was something that Shawn was proud of.

"Thank you"

She looked up at him and he smiled tucked a Strand of hair behind her ear. ""What for?"

"For being able to recognize the enemy and least to know what it is that he wants if it had been someone else they would have gotten hurt but since it was who was ordering the restaurant you were able toRecognise that your drink had been spiked, that is something that I'm very proud of and thankful for because you are here for me. I don't know what to have happen if I lose you in my life" Shawn held her

so close to his chest and she smiled.

"I guess the moon goddess doesn't want us to be separated if anything is to happen to you. I will die I'm so I can't let that happen, in my heart, I've already chosen you a million times"

"I have chosen you as well but right

now the enemy has done too much and I need to find a way to make sure that he doesn't have to hurt anybody again, if I leave him he will this just keep coming back over and over again and I don't know how many times you will be able to

escape from his attacks on you"

"You are right the best thing we can do is to find a way to make sure that he doesn't have to hurt anyone again, I will have to do that now otherwise he will just not give up and keep coming back like a maniac" "How do we even get him? How do I lure him out since he's good at watching us?"

"The waiter who was served at the restaurant must have been his accomplice since he was the one who served me and he stood at a close distance watching if I would take the drink or not"

"The waiter?" Shawn was surprised he would use such a person to try and drug Hannah. " if you see the waiter can you be able to recognize him"
