Sweet Redemption Chapter 40

The nightmare I had was just the same as it always was. It was barely even a nightmare, more like a memory. That night that Bianca almost got hurt. I know we were kids, I didn't have any kind of strength to help then. But I never stopped beating myself up over it. It took a long time for Bianca to prove to me that she could protect herself. Even after that I kept an eye on her. The weakness I always felt when having that nightmare was damn near unbearable. When I woke up it took me a few moments to realize where I was. My eyes settled on Acaisia for a moment before I turned away. I didn't want her to see me shook up but it was already pretty obvious.

Instead I had put my head in my hands and tried to calm down. When Acaisia wrapped her little soft body around me everything else faded away. I soaked up every minute of that side of her that I could.

Telling her about my past and that nightmare was a first for me. I didn't even tell Max about that. Bruce had found out when I was a teenager. He had given me a few useful tools to help me feel stronger and also work through the trauma. That was when our training had really kicked up.

Still, I had never opened up about that to anyone before. Acaisia was so amazing the way she listened to me and comforted me.

f**k, I love her.

After noticing that she was in my hoodie it didn't take long for things to get heated. Especially when I noticed that she was wearing nothing under it. How the f**k was I not supposed to ravish her after that?

My mate, in nothing but my f*****g hoodie, mmmmmm.

Acaisia begged me to f**k her. I knew what she wanted. My conditions still stood. It took me a moment to realize the change in her mood.

When I looked back to her face she was staring off into space, crying silently. I've never seen anything more heart breaking. I wanted to erase every trace of sadness from her. She didn't have to tell me what was going on in her hear. I pieced enough of it together myself.

I calmed her down though. Now she was sleeping soundly next to me. My arms still wrapped around her.

Sometimes she would wiggle back into me, or shove her nose in my arm that was under her head. I was just happy she seemed to be at peace now. Acaisia had voiced enough to me for me to know she was thinking about her first mate. I had my face buried in her neck, my lips on her skin, and she was f*****g thinking about him. Or something to do with him at least.

I swear to all the f*****g Gods that if I ever see that fucker I'm beating his a*s.

Acaisia wiggled beside me and I pulled her even closer to me. I wrapped my arms around her completely and she sighed dreamily. My perfect little mate.

As much as I was happy to have her I was still angry that someone hurt her. I wish I would have gotten to her first. Maybe I should give in and f**k her like she wants.

Then maybe she would know I'm not the same. I want her so bad I feel like my d**k's going to fall off. It would be good for the both of us.

I lay there with my beautiful mate for a few hours. There was no way I was getting back to sleep now. Not with that nightmare and everything running through my head about my mate now. I could hear the sound of voices outside, but I wasn't ready to leave my

mate.

Only a little while later she started to stir.

Acaisia slowly began waking up. She turned around slowly in my arms to face me. Her beautiful deep blue eyes smiled up at me.

f**k, she is breathtakingly stunning.

"Good morning." She said softly.

I kissed her forehead.

"Good morning. How did you sleep?" I asked her.

"Really good actually." She admitted.

Acaisia surprised me by leaning her head up and placing a soft kiss to my lips. Her hands snaked up my body to rest in my hair. She kept kissing me with passion but it wasn't like usual.

There wasn't a hint of s****l frustration in our kiss. Just her and me. I've never met anyone that made my heart feel so f*****g full.

Much too soon Acaisia pulled away from me. I could tell that she didn't want to either. That must mean we have things to do.

"Ahkari says that they have breakfast waiting and that we need to go." She mumbled.

I reached up to brush her cheek. Sparks danced across my fingertips. I love touching her. The sparks and tingles were why I did it so much. It calmed me and excited me all at once. I've never felt so at peace like this before. "So no quickie then. Got it." I teased making Acaisia giggle.

f**k, I love that sound.

My little mate sat up and then crawled out of bed. I watched her pick up her sweat pants, and shimmey them on. Then she turned to me, and crossed her arms.

"Come on. Get up." She urged.

I did as I was told and walked over to my suitcase. Pulling on a pair of grey sweat pants I walked over to her and kissed the top of her head. Throwing on some socks and shoes Acaisia did the same. I was about to walk out he doorway of the tent when her voice stopped me.

"You're not going to put a shirt on?" She asked.

I turned around to face her. "Should I?"

Acaisia's eyes trailed down my body slowly.

"I really want to say no, but..." Her eyes met mine. "Yes." She stated crossing her arms again

I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Why? Bugs?" I asked.

"Sure we can go with that." She said making both my eyebrows go up.

"I just... I don't want to get distracted." She admitted.

I smirked at her.

"Oh sorry. Didn't realize I was so distracting."

I couldn't help but feel smug as I went to throw a shirt over my head.

"Better?" I asked her.

All I got was a little 'humph' in return.

I love it when she does that. Her little bratty attitude was making my d**k twitch. Acaisia was about to walk out of our tent when I snatched her up from behind. She let out a small yelp and started wiggling in my grip. "Shhh." I whispered in her ear. "I just want to hold you a bit more before you start ignoring me in front of everyone."

Acaisia stopped wiggling, but turned around in my arms. She chewed on her bottom lip as she stared up at me. It seemed she was debating something inside that pretty head of hers.

Before I could ask about it she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down to her lips. I groaned against her full lips as she kissed me. Before I could deepen it she pulled away from me completely and walked out the tent. I chuckled and looked down to see I was sporting my own tent. Silly little mate thinks I give a f**k if anyone notices my hard on.

I walked out right after Acaisia, and decided to really embarrass her.

"Good morning guys!" I shouted to get everyones attention.

My eyes met everyones as they all looked over to me. Every single one of them noticed my boner. I only smiled back at their amused faces.

When my eyes met my mates she was staring at me with her mouth hanging open and her face beat red.

"Oh, and a special good morning to the love of my life." I said loudly as I walked up to her, and kissed her cheek.

"What the f**k are you doing showing off your hard on?" She seethed at me.

"Everyone here is mated. What's it matter?" I asked her.

Acaisia stared me down deciding if she should answer or not. I knew she was jealous that everyone could see. If she'd admit it then I'd go back in the tent until I calmed down, but if she didn't, I was going to keep walking around.

"It matters because no one should be seeing that except me." She stomped her foot like a child.

I smirked at her.

"Well, you did it to me." I told her.

Acaisia scoffed.

"Of course I did. That doesn't mean you can-"

I placed my finger over her mouth to stop her.

"Okay okay. Don't be mad." I kissed her nose. "I already calmed down anyways." I told her truthfully.

Acaisia's eyes went straight to my junk. She gave me a pleased look before turning around, and strutting to the food. It was being served buffet style, not that there was much. I followed behind her and snatched her plate from her after she grabbed it. "Go sit down. I'll bring you a plate." I told her with a kiss to her forehead.

There was a fight in her eyes, but I ignored her. Apparently that was enough for her, because she joined our sisters at the fire.

"I've never seen Acaisia act that way with anyone."

I looked up to see Simon smiling at me, an amused twinkle in his eye.

I frowned at him. Mated or not he was too close to my mate. He was on my s**t list now.

"Well, I am her mate." I gave him a tight smile.

"I can see that." He said. "You think she won't accept you, but she already has." He told me. "You don't know anything about me." I glared at him.

Simon shrugged.

"I have a way of reading people. Our little Acaisia is quite smitten with you already." He said.

"My Acaisia. There is no our. She is mine." I made sure to enunciate every word for the dillhole. Simon smiled widely.

"That she is." He said before walking away.

Stupid f*****g demon thinks my mate is his in any way. She's mine. All mine. No one elses.

Turning around I looked over at my mate. She's talking with my twin, laughing. f**k, she's so beautiful. I had to shake my head to stop from drooling, then walked over to her handing her a plate of food.

I kissed her head as I placed the plate in her lap.

"Thank you." She smiled up at me and then puckered her lips out.

It took me two seconds before I kissed her like she wanted. I wasn't sure what had happened between last night and this morning, but she was showing me more affection now.

No way in hell you'd catch me complaining.

After getting my own plate I pulled a chair up next to my mate. The five of us spent the next hour talking. It was actually nice. I didn't even mind it when Simon spoke. That might have a lot to do with the stories they all told me about him. Apparently he was a flirt with all of the Morningstar's and found each of their reactions humorous. That didn't make me feel much better, but hearing him talk about his mate did.

Maybe Simon isn't so bad.
