AMELIA:

Dexter didn’t give us even a second to pack out of the house. As soon as he ran, he got into the car, and while I followed Daniel, we met the car waiting outside.

"Luna, you have to tag along. Alpha Dexter can’t go back home alone else the Alpha king would be furious." Daniel uttered and seeing Dexter all worried, I nodded my head and stepped into the car,

As soon as our doors were shut, Daniel stepped in,

"Get to the airport as fast as you can, Daniel. We have to take the jet back to the pack immediately." Dexter uttered, his voice filled with so much worry,

His hands were shaking as he held onto his phone and once I stared at him for a few seconds, I immediately took my gaze away afterwards,

"Pick up! Pick the damn call anyone." He muttered,

"Why is no one in the pack picking the damn call?’

"Everyone must be attending to Scarlett and are too busy to pick the call, alpha. Daniel responded and in anger, Dexter hit the chair so hard, curling up his fingers into fists,

"Damnit! If anything happens to Scarlett, they’re all dead. I’m not going to spare even one soul for not looking after her." He uttered, making me shake with a little fear,

How come he was so worried about her? Even though I hated Scarlett too, I couldn’t help but worry about her, but maybe Dexter might be taking things too far,

In my mind, I slowly began imagining myself in Scarlett’s shoes. What if it were me who had gotten hurt? Would Dexter react this way too?

I let out an almond silent scoff as I couldn’t help but envy Scarlett. I never had anyone to be so worried about me all my life and I didn’t know what that felt like. It must feel so good because Dexter had just ended our honeymoon all because of us,

A few hours later, we finally landed at the pack. It was almost morning and even though I had about 2 hours of sleep, whenever I woke up, Dexter wasn’t asleep.

Judging by how swollen his eyes were the next morning, I was certain he had not slept even a wink because of worry,

I heaved deeply and rose to my feet,

"Luna, the car is waiting to take you to the pack," Daniel announced and I nodded my head.

We got into the car and it drove off.

"Pick the damn phone, anybody." He muttered under his breath. He had still not stopped calling.

We finally arrived at the Alpha’s mansion in less than ten minutes and as soon as the car halted, Dexter didn’t wait for the door to be opened. He rushed out of the car and began to head into the mansion.

I stepped down afterward and began to walk in too. My eyes were so tired, but I needed to see Scarlett and how she was doing first. No matter how much I hated her, I didn’t wish for her to get hurt or be in pain,
