"Where’s she? Where’s Scarlett?" Dexter questioned a maid and he was led to her room while she trailed behind him

As soon as he got to the entrance, he forced the door open only to see Luna Aurora and Scarlett,

"What...?

"Scarlett?" The Luna’s word was Interjected by Dexter’s voice as he dashed into the room,

"Oh, my dear." Luna came towards me at the entrance and wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug,

"You look so tired, darling." She uttered gently rubbing my back without breaking the hug, and I sighed deeply,

"I missed you so much, Luna, I missed you," I uttered, halfway breaking into tears as I gazed at Dexter seated close to Scarlett and holding her hand. I was hurt, but I tried to cover it up, "I missed you too, my darling." She uttered as she broke the hug, and I moved closer to Scarlett while holding her hand,

"What happened to her?"

"Since Dexter left, she’s been hurting herself so bad, and just yesterday, she fell into the pool and almost got drowned. This is really a hard time for her because it’s close to her father’s memorial and Dexter’s all she has during this period." Luna uttered but in as much as my heart broke for Scarlett, I had a feeling this was all just to get Dexter’s attention because he was away from her,

I let out another deep sigh, and heard a faint voice,

"D.... Dexter?"

"She’s awake," Luna muttered to me,

Dexter held her hand so tightly, and his voice kept shaking as he spoke, "H...he hey, I’m here little angel, and I’m not leaving you."

Those words found a way to break my heart into multiple pieces and I had no idea why. They went down the room of my heart, leaving a stinging feeling in me that 1 couldn’t understand as I stared at them,

He had been acting so possessively around me, but he was still clearly in love with Scarlett. I felt jealous.

I fluttered my brows so I would disrupt the tears gradually forming at the corners of my eyes,

"I’m tired, Luna; I need to go take a shower and rest."

"Alright, darling. Welcome back home. I’ll have the maid prepare something really nice for you."

I nodded my head and began to walk out of the room. As soon as I was out, I shut the door and leaned on it, swallowing a lump of saliva down my throat,

I couldn’t stop the pain in my heart and I hated it so much. I just wanted it to stop for goodness sake, but it was only worsening. Gathering a little of my strength, I began to head towards the room and I sat down on the bed once I got in,

The tears I had been managing so hard to hold finally dropped down to my face and I sniffled,

After what Dexter did last night, everything changed. My perspective about him changed and I felt myself let go of certain hate that I had for him. He wasn’t so inconsiderate after all and my heart had softened up to him a little.

I rose to my feet and went for a quick shower in which I drifted off to sleep afterwards.

The sound of the door woke me up. I rose to my feet and when I opened the door, a maid was standing outside,

"I’m so sorry to disturb you Luna, but the Luna Queen has requested your presence for lunch."

I nodded my head and without wasting time, I began to head downstairs.

"Come sit, darling; I hope you had a good rest?" She questioned and I nodded my head as I sat down,

"The Alpha king is out for now and will be back tomorrow."

I nodded again, "Where’s Dexter? Is he not going to eat? He must be really hungry." I uttered, but Luna dropped her fork on the table,
