The Alpha’s Rejected Bride -
Chapter 10
Naomi rushes to my side, gets on her knees next to me, and pulls me in a hug. "Did she hurt you," I nod against her shoulder.
My heart hurts so bad.
"It f*****g hurts," I sniffle and Naomi draws comforting patterns on my back.
"Oh my princess, I didn't want you to..." Naomi keeps cooing something in a shaky breath but I honestly can't make out anything.
"Oh my... I'm sorry," she's crying and rambling.
Naomi pulls away from the embrace and removes a strand of hair on my face. I embrace her tightly and cry louder.
A growl resonates from the door and I turn to Bradley, he's fuming. Glaring at his sister and best friend. "Why?" He asks in shock. Crystal rolls her eyes and crosses her arms against his chest.
"You've always loved her," she says in a monotone. I'm surprised, Bradley loves me? She's delirious. Brad is heaving, I've never seen him this angry before.
"How can you betray her like this? You two were..?" He groans in frustration, unable to finish his
sentence.
"You are in love with my fiance?" Josh sounds angry now. His eyes are glaring at Bradley but he's not fazed.
"I was but I let my feelings go because I respected your relationship, now look at what you've done!" He shouts, almost lunging at Josh.
"You f*****g traitor, you loved her. I can't believe I've left her in your care several times," Josh is livid. Growling at his bestfriend.
Naomi helps me up. She is quiet through all this, and Crystal eyes are again.
Naomi growls menacingly at her but Crystal Snickers then looks at me with a bored face...
"Do you want to know why Naomi and I were at fighting these couple of past weeks,"
"Crystal don't," both Naomi and Josh say.
"Please, you've done enough damage, look at her," Naomi is begging. I wipe my tears with the back of
my hands but it's useless, they keep flowing.
"Aah, wow. A good friend you are." She snarls.
"Stop," it's Josh who says, and Crystal arches her brows.
Bradley comes to my side and wraps his arms around me. Saying comforting words in my ear but Josh growls possessively.
"Don't touch her!" Bradley pulls away and squints his eyes.
"You're f*****g crazy," he growls.
"Enough, guys!" Crystal looks like she's enjoying this too much.
"Do you want to know why Naomi and I were fighting? You're going to laugh," she chuckles to herself
but it's not funny.
Taking my silence as a yes, she start to tell me how she caught my fiance and Naomi making out at a college party two months ago.
I remember missing that party and I didn't see any of them for a week.
No one mentioned it and they were acting so strange.
I move away from Naomi, unable to breathe with all this information they are telling me.
Why is this all happening to me and today of all days! It's my wedding day!
Naomi shakes her head sadly. She keeps crying sorry but I'm not having it, just retreating from her with a terrified look.
Suddenly, Bradley lunges at Josh, and the two fight furiously.
"You! That can't compare to what you did!" Naomi screams, before I can comprehend a thing, the two ladies shift into their wolf form and start to fight savagely.
Naomi is not a fighter like Crystal but this time, she's angry and gives it her best.
Tables are breaking as they growl and claw at each other while I'm frozen in place, crying my eyes out.
I want to be numb. Mute the voices and pain.
I don't want to live like this, I can't take this anymore.
As warriors rush into the room, I get out, running.
A few guards around the house call me worriedly but I don't answer, Instead, I run faster. I don't know where am going.
I run deeper into the woods, it's so damn hard to run with the wedding dress, I keep falling over rocks and picking myself up.
My body is aching and it feels like my lungs are on fire.
My legs are sore when I reach the biggest bridge in the pride pack.
Growing up, Josh, Crystal, Naomi, Bradley, and I came often to play and just watch the water.
I climb on top of the bridge, surprisingly I didn't fall.
My eyes wander over the shiny rocks down there.
Daddy used to bring me here, I loved to pick shiny rocks.
Good memories flash in my mind, then are replaced by the stinging betrayal, they all betrayed me.
I close my eyes and spread out my arms, feeling the air on my face and body. Letting fate take its course.
"Carefully, get down... " A voice resonates in my ears, it's powerful and sends shivers down my spine.
I don't turn, just shake my head and it desperately adds.
"Please,"
