The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 117 Book 2 Chapter 49

The meeting was nothing but a warning to the pack members and a restriction to the patrol men. He reassured them that he’d keep them safe, reminded them that he was Gregory’s son and despite all the previous occurings, they had all rooted for him.

He didn’t really fill them in on the situation, however he told them to stay in their homes tonight because there will only be four men on patrol. After that, he had asked Liam to choose one of the strongest fighters amongst them since he was the one who trained with them most recently…and now it was time for the hunt.

He had already dropped Celeste off, long before the meeting started. She didn’t want to let him go, and honestly, he didn’t want to let her go either. But it wasn’t about what he wanted, at least not now…

He was an alpha and he had to protect her as well as his pack.

Sighing, he looked towards Liam, Fredd and the newcomer he barely knew a thing about. John…at least he knew his name. “John, you’re okay with this, right?”

John nodded. “I see no problem alpha.”

“Alright then, remember, you’ll be taking the north borders. The link will be open, if you find anything please let us know…also I think it’s best to travel in the forms of our wolves, transforming takes time, it might not be long, but it can take a second to land a life threatening blow and they won’t hesitate to strike while you’re weak. Be careful out there, be on guard…keep your eyes open, I don’t want to lose anybody else…I want all three of you back here as soon as day breaks and I mean it.”

He took out the perfume bottle half filled with ‘mask’, spraying it all over his body and then passed it around…whatever that was left in the bottle was placed by a nearby tree and then all four men crouched down, transforming into their beast.

Clothes were shredded and from skin came furr longer than the black hair on Zillon’s head, the weight of the body increased and so did its size and soon, four big and dangerous looking wolves stood in the place of four strong and muscular men.

The dark gray wolf was the largest and beneath all that dark furr laid Zillon…

The brown and black spotted wolf was Liam, he was second when it came to size…

The silver wolf was Fredd…third largest in size…

And the smallest was John, his fluffy brown fur, differentiated him from the rest.

Zillon opened the pack link, only sharing it with them. ‘Remember to be keen, be cautious, be c—’

“We f*cking get it, Zillon. Stop being sappy and let us go.”

Zillon looked over at Liam, snarling at him. ‘If this wasn’t important, I’d choke you with my teeth…’He looked back over at John and Fredd. ‘You can go pass the border, but not far, understood?’

Both men nodded the heads of their wolves and trusting them to listen, Zillon gestured to the wild. “Go and come back just as fit as you left…”

“Yes Alpha…”

And then all three of them sped off into different directions, leaving Zillon in his spot. He could only hope everything turned out fine, no more deaths and at least one person from the opposing pack to question. He needed to know where they were from and why they were attacking before killing them off.

Turning to the path which he chose, he too sped off into the forest, heading for the south borders. In his wolf form, it didn’t take him long to get there.

Just as he told his men, he was cautious, he was alert, his eyes traveling through the darkness as though it was light, his steps had slowed, just like his scent, he tried to keep them untraceable and the only thing on his mind was getting to the bottom of this.

He could blatantly hear the annoying sound of a far away cricket and the silence that resided around that one particular sound had him hearing even the fluttering of a bird’s wing. If anyone made a step, he’d be able to hear it, any sound could be detected by his extremely focused and sensitive ears…

Stepping across the border, Zillon scented the air, unsurprisingly not picking up anything but the scent of the earth and that of the grass that tainted it.

His eyes flickered to the right and to the left…his paws taking him even further forward until he came to a sudden stop, his ears flicking as the crunching of leaves greeted them. His head snapped in the direction the sound came from and instinctively, he followed it.

The sound reverberated against his ears again and Zillon’s heart accelerated just a bit. He wasn’t scared, he was anxious, what would he find? Or rather who?

Stalking even closer, slowly; without making a sound, his eyes accessed his surroundings and what he found had adrenaline pumping like b***d through his veins. A white, black spotted wolf stood just a meter away from him, it’s eyes shining so bright in the moonlight. It was small and Zillon concluded that it’s lack in size was maybe because it was female.

At the sight of him, the wolf ran off and Zillon chased after it as though it was his prey. It’s scent was masked and though Zillon didn’t think this wolf was capable of killing anyone, he needed to know just why an unknown wolf was on his land.

Soon enough, Zillon was close enough to pounce and knock it right over, and then ontop of it, he rested his weight. He growled in the wolve’s face and it whimpered, baring its neck to him.

An omega… It was nothing but a rare omeg—

It was sudden and unexpected, but Zillon found himself rolling in the grass when he was attacked by someone else. He got up quickly, eyes zooming in on the light brown wolf who now stood protectively in front of the female. It growled, it’s paws scraping against the ground as it prepared to attack again. It’s size was as big as Liam’s wolf, which only proved that it was fully grown and strong, it’s scent just like the omega’s was hidden and Zillon couldn’t help but wonder if he had hit the jackpot.

Was this one of the wolve’s who kept killing his pack members?

He wasn’t sure, but to find out, he’d have to take it down.

He skidded forward, launching an attack before the wolf could launch his. It sighted his blow, but it’s moves were sloppy and slow…an easy prey; big without brains.

Zillon attacked again, swifter, with more strength, bringing the wolf on its back, he leaped on top of it, his teeth securing around its neck…

The omega behind it whimpered and when Zillon heard it’s bones cracking, his eyes drifting up to stare at her. Soon there were no fur, just skin, shiny tanned skin, bare to the moon and his eyes.

The woman’s hands cover her breast and in shame brought her legs close together as she sat on the floor. “Please…I beg of you, don’t kill my mate…we come in peace…Xavier… we’ve come to see our alpha.”
