There is no way I was having a pup without having a s****l encounter with any man. How on earth did she find out that I was having a pup? Wait, Sabrina, this is certainly impossible. “You might have a lot of questions running through your mind,” she said, jolting me back from my thinking.

She was right, I had a lot of questions to ask. A lot of riddles to untangle. “Well, many people may think of me as a she-wolf but,” she said before letting a soft chuckle out of her lips. “I’m a witch who was mated to a werewolf,” she said, making me lost. “You might still be a little confused but no need to be, one of my powers as a witch is that I can go through your past and feel the presence of a new life growing in any woman’s womb.” she let out.

“Your past has been bumpy and I know you want to reunite with your family. Kai wouldn’t possibly let you go to them but I can make that happen,” she mumbled yet again. “I can’t have a pup, I ___ii,” I tried to find a word but lost it. “Alpha ray d king of the red moon pack, the night of the party! You should try to remember,” she unleashes, making a tear slip out.

“How was this possible?” I muttered under my puff. “He is looking for you because that pup is the motive of why he dared to hurt my sweet Kai, every mother deserves to take every pain for her child, and seeing that you have done that shows how lucky that pup is,” her words let out. All that she was mumbling wasn’t what hurt the most but the fact that my rejected mate and I were expecting a baby.

How could the Moon Goddess do this?

“Your family stays in another pack. I would let my trusted guard lead you there if you publicly reject my son. I would throw a party tomorrow and you should be ready to do that, for the sake of that pup growing.” she let out.

“Alright,” I let out, not having any strength left.

“Kai is awake and looking for you, a word from you that this. transpired. I won’t think twice but to kill you and your pup,” she let out. “Unchain her and clean her up,” she ordered. The chain went clicking open from my hand, my throat felt sore and my hands felt heavy to carry.

I couldn’t even stand on my own as I was being held up. After being dragged for a few minutes, I was handed over to a lady who helped clean me up. “Your meal is on the side table,” she said, making me beam with a smile. The instant I was done with my meal, the door plunged open as the voice of Kai filled the entire room.

“Oh my God Sabrina, are you okay?” I heard Kai say and all the b***d flushed my whole body as I tried to sit up. A warm hand wrapped around my back, making me yelp in pain. “Are you okay?” he asked, but I said nothing but nodded my head.

“What really happened to your face and hand? I thought Lisa said you were safe? Who did this to you?” he asked, but I wiggled my head. I felt his hand lift my gown before a growl escaped his lips. “Who dared to hurt you, Mi luz?”

“Nobody,” I said. “I just happened to get really beaten up when you got injured,” I said, trying to hold his hands. “You’re lying. Did my mother do this or Tiana?” he growled, making me flinch a bit. “No, your mother has really been good to me,” I said, looking at my lap. “Let’s go back home, I should at least take care of your injury better,” he let out before his hands entangled my hands but I removed them.

I didn’t want his mother getting the wrong idea. “What the matter?” he asked. “Nothing, I’d rather walk on my own,” I muttered, trying to walk but the pain wouldn’t let me. “Why are you so grumpy and stubborn? I just want to help,” he let out, as a hand-pulled me onto his back. “You aren’t fully strong enough to do this,” I said, struggling to get down, but he held me tightly.

“Wrap your hands around my neck,” he ordered, and I just couldn’t continue to give him an attitude but to obey, my hands being placed around his neck gave me multiple sparks and I hated the fact that I planned on hurting this wolf who has done nothing but care for me since we met.

His hands went on to my butt section so he could adjust and I couldn’t help but hold my breath. “Son, what are you doing?” The voice of Luna let out, making me struggle to get down, but Kai held onto me tightly.

“Mother, I have had enough of you and I wouldn’t let it slide if you interfere with Sabrina and me. She is the one I chose as my Luna,” Kai let out. “You can’t have her as a Luna. She is pregnant with another pack’s Alpha. What would the pack members see you as?” Luna let out?

“So what? Being pregnant with Ray’s child changes nothing, not you or the pack members can make me throw my mates away.” he let out and a tear slipped out of my eyes. Seeing Kai defend me was something fascinating, but Luna was right. How could he raise another Alpha’s child?

“I can walk now, you should put me down,” I said, close to his ear, but he held on tighter. “I repeat mother, don’t interfere except you choose to lose a son,” he said as I felt him walk away.

“Kai, Kai?” I held her call until her voice started to fade away. Kai said nothing as he carried me on his back. I wanted to say something but nothing seemed to come out. He let go of me the moment the scent of cherries mixed with grass was perceived, we seemed to be in his house.

“Wait here, I need to get the medical kit,” he ordered, making me nod. The moment he was back, he pulled my clothes to the side before hissing. The scattering of items was heard crashing to the floor.

“Why do you choose to hurt me, Mi Luz? Do you even believe it when I say I can protect you and that I love you as my mate? I’m not Ray but Kai,” he said, and I could feel the pain in his voice.
