Chapter 77

(Rose)

I walk into the bathroom and turn the water on. I strip down, but the water was too hot. So I jump back out of the water and then I freeze.

“What the hell just happened?” I ask Lilly.

“I believe we just got another gift. Control of the elements. So earth, fire, water and air. My favorite of the gifts,” Lilly says to me.

“Okay, cool. But how do I drop the droplets?” I ask her.

“I don’t remember. But I think you triggered it with your fear of getting burned.” Lilly tells me.

I hear the door open and see Ash walk in but he stops and stares at me.

“I think I gained another gift,” I say to him.

“I think so too. I will call a guard to bring Raymond to the room.” He tells me.

He walks over to me slowly, the water droplets move around him. He grabs my robe and puts it on me.

“Why don’t we go back to the room and wait for Raymond? Maybe he can help.” Ash says to me.

“Okay, that sounds good.” I say to him while walking towards the door.

The droplets move away from us as we walk out the door. They just float around the bathroom. I walk over to the bed and sit down. I watch Ash close the bathroom door.

He comes over and sits next to me. We sit in silence while we wait for Raymond. It doesn’t take long, and we hear a knock on the door. Ash gets up and opens it. I watch as Raymond walks in.

“What can I help you two with? It is my understanding that the two of you wanted to be alone for the day,” Raymond says to us with a knowing smile.

“Yes, we did want to be alone. But something came up and we are hoping that you can help us,” Ash says to him.

“Well, it must be important then. And I can smell that you have mated, but you didn’t mark one another? That is not common for your kind, so I can only assume that the Goddess has warned you about what will happen if you mark each other?” Raymond asks me.

“Yes, she did. And I do not want Ash to be immune to my gifts as of yet. We still have too much going on and too many unknowns as of now. So we agreed to wait on marking one another until the time is right.” I tell him with a smile.

“Okay, so what is the issue that has brought me to your room?” Raymond asks us.

“So the gift of controlling the elements. How do I control it?” I ask Raymond.

“Well, that one is pretty easy, it goes based on your emotions and your actions. If you want a wave of water, you think it and move your hand along the water. The elements are easy to control, you just have to be calm about what you ask them.” Raymond says to me.

“Why do you ask?” Raymond says looking around the room. His eyes land on the closed bathroom door and he smiles.

“May I?” He ask and I nod at him.

I watch him open the door and smile. He walks into the bathroom and moves the waterdroplets around the room as he walks through them. He comes back into the bedroom and smiles at me.

“That is impressive.” He tells me. “Now come here and I will show you how to drop them, so that you can have your shower… And fun.” He tells us.

I stand up and follow him into the bathroom. Still memorized by the droplets in the air.

“Now how did this happen?” He asks me.

“Well, when I went to get into the water it was too hot. So I jumped back to keep from burning myself.” I say to him while watching Ash in the doorway.

“Okay, so now that you are calm. You need to think about dropping the droplets and relax as you wave your hand through them.” Raymond tells me.

I walk through the droplets and relax. I think of them dropping like the rain. Soon enough, the three of us are getting rained on by the now cold droplets.

I giggle as they fall and I look at the guys. They are both smiling at me.

“Good job Rose. Before I go, Ash, can I speak to you alone?” Raymond says.

I watch the two of them walk into the bedroom. Ash closes the door behind them. I adjust the shower temp and go to step in, but my curiosity gets the best of me.

I walk up to the door, and put my ear up to the door to listen.

“You need to be careful and keep a close eye on her. The elements are easy to manipulate, but can also cause some issues with others around her who do not know that she has gifts. She may be surprised at how easily she can change the things around her.” Raymond says, and then he pauses and I hear him walk over to the door.

“Also, with her current condition, she will be more emotional and a lot of changes are going to happen to her,” Raymond says.

I hear him walk to the bedroom door and open it.

“Oh and Rose, I know you are listening at the door.” He says, and I open the bathroom door and look at him and Ash.

Raymond smiles at me.

“Congratulations,” he says as he walks away.

“What?” I ask Ash.

“Vampires have great hearing and smell. Your smell is mixed with mine since we have mated, but he also caught another smell on you. He can also hear another heartbeat…” Ash says to me.

” It’s been a day,” I say to him.

“Yes, but royals are pregnant for a shorter time than normal wolves. A normal wolf is pregnant for three months. Royals are pregnant for two, as they are blessed by the goddess.” Ash says to me.

I stand frozen just looking at him.

“We are having a pup.” I hear Lilly say to me.

And then everything goes black.
