Chapter 78

(Rose)

I open my eyes and notice that I am in the void. But it feels different. It is eerie and quiet. This does not feel like Selene brought me here.

I walk around and look at my surroundings. Everything is the same, but it seems darker.

“Hello?” I call out to the emptiness.

I get no response back.

“Lilly?” I call out to her.

“Yes, I am here. I just feel so tired.” She says to me.

“Do you know why I am here?” I ask her.

“No, I dont. And I can’t take us back on our own.” Lilly tells me.

“So, what do I do? Do I just wait for someone to come tell me why I am here?” I ask her.

“I believe so. Wanna go rest by that tree over there? I feel like I could use a nap.” Lilly says to me quietly.

“That sounds good to me. Are you okay? Why are you so tired?” I ask her.

“I think it is just the lack of sleep. We have been up most of the night and day. And our body is physically exhausted, all the fun times with our mate. And it’s hard to hold myself back from what I want to do to him. I know why we need to wait to mark him, but it is like I am fighting with myself the whole time.” She says to me.

I walk over to the tree and sit down. I lean back on it and close my eyes to rest.

Not too long later, I hear voices.

“You know I wont help you. We have been doing this for years. I have placed most of my powers in a safe place and you have used all of yours trying to control your creations.” I hear. I believe it to be Selene.

“But we are sisters. Why won’t you help me?” I hear another voice say to her. I recognize that voice, but I can’t place it.

“I tried to help you years ago. And all you wanted to do was take my power.” Selene says.

Sol, its Sol.

“I have changed,” Sol says.

“I doubt that. You are still trying to control the vampires even though your power over them is fading. You are becoming weak, and soon you will be no more.” Selene says to her.

“And then what?” Sol asks.

“Then the world will run on its own, without a goddess trying to control what happens and when it happens,” Selen says.

They are walking closer to me. I stay as still as can be and try to steady my breathing. Although I am sure they know I am here, they are Goddesses after all.

“Yes Rose, I know you are here. I have masked you, so Sol does not know you are here. I wanted you to hear this, sorry for not warning you.” Selene says in my head through a link.

“And I have already decided that I will help make sure the vampires live after you die. They will have the option to live the way that they want. And I have also made it so that they will have fated mates as well,” Selene says to Sol.

“They will be able to find true love and happiness,” Selene finishes.

“Well, I will find your stone and be sure that you don’t get what you want then,” Sol says.

Then there is a flash of light and Selene is standing in front of me.

“Hello Rose, and Lilly.” Selene says to me with a smile.

“Did you mean it? Are you going to help the vampires to live after she dies?” I ask her.

“Yes, I will help them as long as they keep their word on keeping you safe.” Selene tells me.

“That is great. Thank you so much.” I tell her. Getting up and giving her a hug.

“Is everything okay with Lilly? She seems off and is extremely tired today.” I continue.

“She is fine, but she will be tired. As you now know, you are growing a pup. You are not just a royal though. You have part of the goddess inside of you. Your pregnancy will progress just like a normal wolf, but your wolf will be more tired. Lilly will be giving part of herself to your pup.” Selene tells me.

“So, you need to be sure to get the proper rest. And be sure to stay safe.” Selene says to me with a serious tone.

“I will be safe. I have many people that are watching over me and are going to help me and support me. In anyway, I need them too.” I tell her with a smile, putting a hand on my belly.

“They are probably worried about me actually. Can you send me back now? I will let you know if I need anything else from you.” I say to her.

“Yes, I will send you back.” She says with a smile.

“Thank you,” I tell her while she gives me a hug.

I close my eyes and soon enough, I open my eyes to the celieng in mine and Ash’s room.

“Hey, how are you?” I hear my mom ask me as she walks over and feels my head.

“I am okay, Selene took me to the void for a conversation. Sorry for worrying you all.” I say to her, looking around for Ash.

“He went to go talk to his dad. He did leave Raymond outside your door though.” My mom tells me.

“Oh okay. Thank you. And yes, so far, Raymond is the only one who knows our secret.” I say to her.

She places her hand on my stomach.

“Not any more, your parents know, the king and queen know and the doctor knows. Ash was worried that it may have been something with the baby that made you faint. So he called us all in here and explained that we need to keep it quiet for now.” She says to me with a smile.

“Oh okay. Can you call everyone to come in here? I have some news to share with you all about what Selene had to say to me. I also need Raymond to join us.” I tell her while sitting up.

“Ya, okay. I will be right back.” She says while leaving the room.
