Chapter 80

(Rose)

It has been 4 weeks since we all sat down and talked about my visit with Selene. I have started to show, my belly is growing rapidly. I have been spending most of my time in the room or office. I am still trying to keep the pregnancy to ourselves.

However, today we are having a meeting with all members in the Kingdom. We are going to let everyone know about the pregnancy, but also let our mothers know that we are having twins at the same time.

I roll over and reach for Ash, however he isn’t in bed. His place next to me is cold, meaning he has been gone for awhile.

I open a link, “Good morning,” I say to him.

“Good morning, my love, how are you this morning?” He says to me.

“I am okay, just woke up and was wondering where you were at.”

“I went down to the kitchen to get you breakfast. I will be up soon.” He tells me.

I get up and out of bed. I walk into the bathroom and start the shower. I strip down and step in.

As I am washing my belly, I feel movement.

“What the hell was that?” I ask Lilly.

She laughs, “that was one of the pups.” She says to me.

“Well that is a first. I haven’t felt them move before.” I tell her.

“Well you are half way through your pregnancy. They are growing fast.” She says sleepily.

“How are you doing?” I ask her.

“I am doing better, just tired.” She tells me.

“Same,”I say with a laugh as I rub my belly and feel the baby move with my hand.

I hear a chuckle and look up, startled by Ash.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. You were lost in your head talking to Lilly and rubbing your belly with a funny look on your face.” He tells me.

“Oh, I felt the baby move. And was talking to Lilly about it.” I tell him with a smile.

Before I notice what he is doing, he shuts the water off and grabs a towel. He wraps me in the towel and picks me up and carries me into the bedroom. He sets me on the bed gently.

He looks at me with a huge grin on his face.

He pulls the towel off and looks at my belly.

“May I?” He asks with his hand raised above my belly.

“Yes you can.” I tell him with a grin.

He has been so good to me. He has been grabbing my meals when our mothers couldn’t. He has also made sure to be present for all of the doctor’s appointments. He has also been rubbing lotion on my belly everynight. He reads the baby stories every night.

It is the cutest thing.

I watch him run his hand on my belly.

He gasps as one of the babies moves with his hand.

“That is cool, does it hurt you?” He asks me.

“No, it just feels like flutters in my tummy.” I tell him.

“Let me grab you some clothes and then you and I can eat.” He tells me, standing up and walking into the closet.

He comes back with a floor-length maxi dress. It has red roses on it and the material is extremely soft and stretchy. Which is perfect as not many of my clothes fit any more.

He helps me to my feet and helps me to get the dress on over my head. He leans in and gives me a k**s before walking me over to the table in the room.

“Thank you,” I tell him looking at the table that is full of food. French toast, bacon and fruit. He has also brought up orange juice and water.

“Not a problem. I love being able to do all of this for you. Once the pack knows that you are pregnant, I may not get the chance to do this. The kitchen staff will be sure to bring you all of your meals, and I’m sure the pack members will shower you with gifts and want to spend time with you.” He tells me with a smile.

“I am sure you will still find the time to do all that you can for me. Has your mother got everything set up for today?” I ask him.

“Yes she has. She is already down there setting things up and giving out orders.” He tells me with a shake of his head.

“So my dad is going to give a little speech to the people of the kingdom. And then he will ask you up on stage and announce the pregnancy. ” Ash tells me.

“Yes I know, and then I get to surprise everyone by announcing that we are having twins.” I tell him with a smile.

“Are you sure this is a good time?” I ask him while rubbing my belly as I eat.

“Yes I do, everything has been quiet. We have a few camps of vampires sitting around the edge of the kingdom also keeping an eye on things. And you can not just keep in the room, you are getting bored and our mothers are struggling to keep the secret.” He says to me.

“True, and I would like to do some of the shopping for the babies. And I can not do it all online.” I tell him with a smile.

“But I do think that during the lunch after the announcement, I would like to let my walls down. I want to listen to see if anyone is thinking bad things on us or the babies.” I tell him.

“Is it safe while your pregnant?” He asks me.

“Yes, my gifts will not harm the babies or Lilly,” I tell him.

“Then yes, I think it may be a good thing. That way we can know if anyone is against us.” He tells me with a nod of his head.

We sit and eat in silence. The babies are now taking turns moving and rolling around.

As we finish eating I feel a link open up.

“Rose dear, I would like to help you get ready for the meeting today.” I hear my mom say to me.

“That is fine. And let the Queen know that she can come help too, I know she is wanting to help too.” I tell her with a giggle.

“Okay, we will be up about 11am to get you ready. I love you.” She tells me and cuts the link.

I look at Ash, he has a mile on his face as he links with someone.

“Your mom?” I ask him as I see the link cut in his eyes.

“Yes, so our moms are going to be here at 11am to get you ready. And I will go meet with my dad.” He tells me.

I yawn.

Ash laughs at me.

“Sorry, I am just so tired.” I tell him.

“No problem, you should be tired. You are growing two very special people. You need all the rest you can get.” He tells me.

He helps me stand and helps me walk over to the bed.

“Why don’t you relax and read a book or watch a movie. I will clean this all up and come back up to check on you.” He tells me.

“I think I may just nap,” I tell him while laying down.

He leans down and k****s my head and then my belly.

“I love you,” I tell him as I feel my eyelids getting heavy.
