Sofia

Eren paid attention to that conversation, his Sofia was the mother of Lucian’s child. For that reason she never appeared again in any herd. For so long he searched for her, that he gave up.

In the end, his suspicions were right. She was dead.

-If I hadn’t listened to you, I’d have a battalion of wolves with my bloodline at my disposal, I’d be invisible,” Lucian kept snarling at her and trying to rip her throat out, but she was too strong.

The witch held him by the muzzle as if she exerted almost no strength at all, which told him she was very strong and that was what he needed.

-With so many powerful wolves, none of them would have obeyed you, you idiot.

-But swallowing your heart would,” the witch’s smile disappeared, and with it, she pushed Lucian away and then stood up. It’s over, I’m done with you.

-You can’t do it,” the wolf snorts. You can’t kill me because before you do, I do it first.

-And you need to keep my heart beating,” he smirks.

When Ethan reacted to the blow, he looked at the witch and then at Lucian. They were both fighting, that witch was trying to kill him and he couldn’t afford it. As best he could, he got to his feet, noticing that his leg was shattered.

-Ethan, your leg.

-Your rib looks really bad, don’t mess with it anymore Eren. This is between me and Lucian that witch.

-You’re crazy, you can’t. -….

-I have to do it for my family.

Eren understood so he just nodded.

-We’ll both go, I came here to support you and end this.

Ethan and Eren ran when they saw the witch’s intentions to finish with Lucian, the wolf was rolling in the snow while babbling nonsense words.

-Cer… cer… cer…

-Shut up! -Ethan heard her say, when she noticed the two wolves approaching her. Quiet, you pair of traitors, you’ll pay for your audacity to mess with me…” she mutters.

And at that moment, both Eren and Ethan are sent flying through the air, their bodies slamming into a rock wall. The wolves were left unable to move.

-Those two are one less problem, now I’m left with you. I don’t know how I’m going to assassinate you, but as long as you’re under that spell you won’t be able to say a word.

She laughs.

-When I’m done with your pathetic life, I’ll be done with those two alpha wolves and then the human. Just as I had planned.

While she thought no one was listening, Ethan was hearing her. And the knowledge that she intended to betray him at the end infuriated him, the bitch deserved to die. As best he can, he stands up and notices that his friend did not wake up, but was still alive.

He looks up and senses the witch’s intentions.

He ran towards her again but faster and attacked her with all his strength, but this time he bit her arm to the point of shattering it. Lucian broke free of the magic and ran towards her, but Ethan could not allow either of them to kill each other as it was his wife’s life that was at stake.

So he grabbed Lucian by the throat and cornered him against the snow, the wolf kicked and bit, but he wouldn’t let go. He was squeezing his neck tightly and was already one step away from breaking.

-It’s over!

Ethan made the decision to finish Lucian, and then that witch no matter if his wife didn’t survive. But the packs needed peace, and with those two alive they wouldn’t get it. His daughter would have to forgive him one day, but that was the right thing to do.

-Nooooo, you damn meddling wolf…” she yells, trying to attack Ethan.

But out of nowhere, Eren jumps over her body and grabs her by the throat, but without squeezing so hard.

At that, Ethan hears a single word that brings him back to reality.

-Cercie,” Lucian whispers, “Her name is Cercie.

He had no more strength left, that damn Cercie had broken every bone in his body. Since Ethan wasn’t about to let go, he figured that was the end of him, or so they thought, he still had one ace left under the wizard.

Ethan didn’t wait for another chance to yank off Lucian’s head in a single jerk. As he peeled it off, the wolf’s body began to take its human form. Immediately the alpha bites into the wolf’s chest and rips out its beating heart.

Removing it from the body, he lifts his muzzle and watches as the witch glares at him, as Eren holds her prisoner with his paws and teeth.

The alpha walks gracefully over to her, the alpha king releases her and Cercie sits kneeling on the scarlet snow… he throws his still-beating heart before her and growls at her with impetus.

-It’s a deal, Cercie.

She widens her gaze as she sees that her secret is out, that damned Lucian has managed to expose her to Ethan. Then she looks at the bastard’s beating heart, then looks up at the wolf before her.

His muzzle spurted the b***d of his enemy and his gaze was one of hatred for her.

-Don’t you dare betray me, or it will be very bad for you.

-Very good move alpha, I’m surprised at your cunning,” he smiles and then stands up. A deal is a deal.

-No sickness.

-No sickness,” he smiles again as his eyes glow a greyish colour, then he closes them and seconds later opens them. Done! -He adds, taking the heart in his hand. Get out of my domain, I never want to see them again.

Ethan and Eren look at each other, and then see her take Lucian’s head and head inside the hut. A few seconds later, the wolves notice movement at the entrance.

The first thing they see is a hand on the door to open it, and then the female figure of Shery appears, walking in under her own power, carrying some sort of blanket that covers her entire body. Ethan’s heart began to pound as he saw her standing there.

-Ethan? -Ethan whispered as he saw the huge wolf standing a few feet away from her.

The wolf began to walk slowly towards her, and slowly began to turn into a human until he reached her.

Ethan’s whole body was nothing, with hundreds of scars, all covered in b***d and open wounds that were still bleeding, mainly the one on his leg.

-Ethan! -she exclaims, throwing herself into his arms. You came back.

-For you, I have come back for you my moon. I never thought of leaving you, never my love, never.

-I was so afraid.

-Shery…” she whispers. I’m so glad you’re well.

-I don’t feel tired anymore.

They hold each other tighter and then they join their lips in a k**s.

-Let’s go home.

She nods… Eren appears in his wolf form and g****s to see her safe and sound.

-My king, thank you for escorting my husband, I am very grateful my lord.

-We must get back now, we need to get out of this witch’s domain, Eren. Shery, love, you must get on my back to take you home.

The alpha king nods just as Ethan transforms into a wolf. But Shery smiles as she sees these two majestic wolves before her. A bit battered, but still beautiful.

The brunette walks and stands in front of the two of them looking into the forest, Ethan growls for her to climb on his back and at that moment she drops the blanket that covered her body. She is completely naked with her back to him, and that’s when Ethan notices something, all the scars she had on her body were gone.

Her skin was restored, and from the moment he saw her he noticed that Shery had regained her youth. She was no longer the old woman he left in that hut many days ago. The scars on her wrists were gone, she was a new woman.

She looks over her shoulder at them, and suddenly, the brunette transforms into a huge brown she-wolf. The alphas recoil at the change, but say nothing.

-I can transform,” she says in their minds. And I can hear them too.

Shery, my love. You’re a she-wolf!

-The witch told me I could do it, I didn’t believe her until I wanted to, and I could.

-But how? -asks the king.

-She said it was Ethan’s b***d, being immersed in his b***d helped me restore my body, my old wounds opened up giving way to Ethan’s b***d, then when they closed I had wolf b***d in my veins.

Her husband was stunned to see his wife turned into a wolf. It was amazing how beautiful she looked in that form, and he had never imagined seeing Shery as a wolf.

-In that case, I hope you can keep up with us,” the king replied.

-I don’t think we should push her that hard, Eren. It’s only her first transformation.

-Who said I can’t keep up with them? says the she-wolf, then runs off.

-She’s got more energy than us; brace yourself mate, you’ve got a hot puppy of a wife,” the king mumbles, trailing after her.

Ethan was about to do the same, when he hears a sound behind him. He looks out of the corner of his eye and sees the witch standing in the doorway.

-That spell won’t last long, just for a short time. Unless you decide to mark her, once you do, Shery can be a she-wolf like any other.

-Why have you restored her youth?

-Don’t believe everything you see, she’s still that older woman, but because she’s a werewolf she has stamina. I only gave her a little beauty, I found the contrast of a young man with an older woman inappropriate. You didn’t like my peace offering?

-In exchange for what? -He bares his teeth at her.

-In exchange for not wanting you to come back here to seek revenge, you know my secret and you know very well how to use it against me. I think we’re even, wolf.

He is silent.

-Won’t she die for her human years?

-No, that won’t happen. She has the b***d of a wolf in her b***d, she has long life,” he answers proudly.

-If Shery dies from my bite, I will come and kill you.

-Fair enough.

The witch turns away and the wolf looks ahead, then runs back to where his wife went. Now he had to find a way to mark her without suffering too much in the process, it wasn’t over.

Prince Bardas and Adara left before dawn for Deisy’s lands. If they hurried, they could arrive that day. Luckily for Bardas, his she-wolf was fast and kept pace with him perfectly.

The event that had occurred on the mountain the night before had disappeared, there was no more activity out of the ordinary that morning. And although they should have been relieved this was not the case.

The fact that the activity had ceased didn’t mean that things were fine, they still hadn’t heard from their father and Ethan, and that was worrying. On the other hand, the problem that lay in Deisy’s domain also alarmed him.

The albino never again sent her informants to see what was going on, and strangest of all, the men he sent to spy on the alpha’s lands without her knowledge never returned to the blue moon.

It was a small commission of three men, but they never returned. It was not normal, perhaps she had let too many days pass since she became aware of that event; it was her recklessness.

-What is it that bothers you, Bardas? I can feel that your thoughts are troubled.” His moon speaks to him as they run on and on.

-I have sent three wolves to guard Deisy’s lands, but those wolves have never returned to the pack to report back to me.

-How long ago did you send them?

-Since she visited us, I did it without her consent. It is not possible that they were discovered and put in prison. They were the king’s men, they are not allowed to do that.”

The chestnut was even more worried by that news. Three wolves missing at the same time?

-Hurry up Adara, we have to get there as soon as possible.

They both picked up their pace, leaving the blue moon’s domain behind them and entering the albino’s.
