Chapter 126

Wanda alost jumped out of her bed. She rushed to the door and was ready to open and run. Suddenly, she heard heavy footsteps coming from the stairs.

Her hand immediately let go of the door handle, and she quickly grabbed a chair to block the door. Then, there was a loud knock on the

door.

"Wanda, I'm here. Open the door! Wanda, open up!"

Terrified, Wanda stared at the door, which was now thudding loudly. She held her breath.

"Wanda, do you really think this door can stop me? Haha, you're just as naïve as ever!"

Just then, the voice outside went silent. This made Wanda more alarmed. She sensed something, so she quickly turned her head. Her eyes instantly widened in horror,

In the corner of the living room stood a pitch-black figure. She had no idea when it appeared.

Its face was a ghastly pale blue, with tiny pupils the size of beans. Its mouth was stretched wide in an eerie, sinister grin.

Wanda was paralyzed with fear. She watched as the figure slowly approached her.

"Wanda, Wanda! I love you the most. We loved each other so much. We were meant to be together. Do you remember? That New Year's Eve, we swore that we'd be together forever while looking up at the fireworks." Wanda was originally scared stiff, but upon hearing this, her expression changed in an instant.

Clenching her teeth, she yelled angrily, "You have the nerve to talk about New Year's Eve! Right after we celebrated, you went and slept with another woman. Do you think I'm stupid?"

Lucian Zimmer froze for a second, then he let out a creepy laugh. "I was just having fun with her."

"Fun? You call it just having fun? Was it also fun with Yvonne? And that other woman. What was her name again? Were you just having fun with all the women in your backup phone's contacts list?"

"Of course, they were just for fun. None of them even made it to my main phone. Wanda, you're the only one who's ever been on my main phone." Lucian took a step forward.

Wanda could now clearly see his appearance.

There was a dent on the top of his head. His once handsome face was scarred with several cuts, and his skin was all torn and bloody. Not only that, his hair was moatted with blood, and his clothes were soaked in it. The worst of it was around his waist and thighs, where blood dripped steadily onto the floor

Wanda remembered hearing people talk about how gruesome Lucian's death had been

They said the woman's husband had slashed his face.

It turned out to be all true.

Wanda took a fearful step back "Lucian, we've already broken up. We have nothing to do with each other anymore. Even if you're looking for someone, it shouldn't be me."

Lucian kept on professing his love for her.

However, after Wanda rejected him once more, his expression darkened. He stretched out his hands and said ominously, "You've fallen for someone else, haven't you? Wanda, you can't love anyone but me. You can't betray me! How dare you betray me? I'm going to take you with me. You belong to me."

Wanda let out a scream and turned away to sprint toward the door. Just as she reached it, she felt a chill creep up her spine.

Just as that hand reached over to her, she heard a piercing scream.

The cold, terrifying presence vanished instantly.

Wanda slowly turned her head and realized there was nothing left in the room.

She let out a heavy breath.

Suddenly, she heard a ringing.

Wanda jerked awake and threw off her blanket. Her body was drenched in a cold sweat. Chapter 120

She quickly looked around and sighed in relief. "It was just a dream."
