Julianna's

POV

Logan slammed the door on me, and I heard the lock click, meaning I now had no way of leaving. I ran to the window and looked around. It was a three-story drop with nothing to break my fall. I might heal quicker now that I had my wolf, but I wasn't invincible. I knew he would also feel it as soon as I got to the boarder and left. Alphas could feel when their members cut ties with their pack, and now with Logan as my mate he'd feel it even more. "Dam*it," I muttered.

"Why is our mate doing this to us?" Sofia asked.

"I told you; he hates us for being a hybrid. Until you showed up, I wasn't even sure I was going to get a wolf." She whimpered quietly and lowered her head. I turned back to face the room I was in. It looked to be Logan's living room. There was a kitchen to my left, which looked like it had never been used because of how shiny and clean everything was. The furniture was minimal at best. The only thing in here was a large sectional, a coffee table, and a very large flat screen TV. There were no decorations, no pictures on the walls. Nothing that would be a sign someone actually lived here. The curtains on the windows were black. I'm sure once they were drawn shut it was pitch black in the room.

I could see a door to my right across the room, and I made my way towards it. If I was going to be locked in here for Goddess knows how long, I was going to look at everything. Opening the door, I was standing in what I assumed was Logan's bedroom. Again, the furnishing was very minimal. There was a king-sized four-poster bed up against the far wall, a large dresser, and a single armchair with a bookshelf next to it. There were two other doors leading to more rooms on the wall to my left. I opened one to reveal a spacious bathroom, and the other was a walk-in closet.

"This guy isn't one for decorating, is he?" Sofia joked.

"If it doesn't involve telling people what to do, I don't think it's for him." His closet was very organized, that was probably due to an omega that cleaned. He had mainly black and dark blue -shirts, jeans, sneakers, and a couple of black suits. I began opening one of the drawers when something caught my attention.

"Julianna!" It was my mom's frantic voice, drifting into the closet from somewhere outside. I swiftly exited and found her standing in the middle of the living room with a confused and anxious expression on her face. I ran to her and flung my arms around her neck. "Honey, what's happening? Why are you here?" I couldn't bring myself to speak, I just let the tears fall. Being in the comfort of my mom's embrace caused me to lose all the facade I had been trying to put on. "It's okay," she cooed while stroking my hair. "No, it's not," I finally managed to get out. "He's my mate mom, Logan's my mate."

"What?" she asked, pulling back to look at me. I just nodded my head.

"When I went to the bathroom, I came out and it was clear as day. His dad ordered I should be brought here until they can figure out what to do with me." "Okay, don't panic. We can figure this out."

"How? I tried to reject him, and he wouldn't let me. He's made it abundantly clear he's not going to reject me, but he also doesn't want me as his Luna."

"Why won't he reject you? That doesn't make any sense. Everyone knows how he feels about you living in this pack."

"It doesn't make any sense to me either. I don't know what game he's trying to play. He said I have to stay here until he comes back. If I try to run, he'll know the second I leave, he can smell me for a mile."

"I'll talk to Marvin," she said soothingly. "Maybe he can talk to the Alpha and convince him to just send you away." The door opened and a very large man with muscles the size of my head and long dark hair came in. "Time's up," he said, grabbing my mom by the arm.

"No wait, she's only been here for a few minutes!"

"Alpha's orders." He dragged her out of the room and into the hall.

"I love you!" I shouted after her.

"I love you too," she said through a mind link. "Don't worry, we'll get you out of this." The door slammed shut again, and I heard the lock click into place.

"FU*K!" I shouted out. I would have flung something across the room if there was anything in this Goddess-forsaken place.

"This sure would be a good time to use our magic if we knew how," I said to Sofia.

"There's no better time to learn than the present," she responded.

"Too bad they don't have any books on magic in here. I'm sure if there was, they got rid of them a long time ago."

I sat down on the couch, pulling my knees to my chest and hugging them. This was not how my eighteenth birthday was supposed to be. Shifting for the first time tonight seemed out of the question. "Julia, are you okay?" It was Naomi.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just locked in Logan's room like fu*king Rapunzel over here. Too bad my hair's way too short to climb down the tower." She laughed.

"I'm happy you're okay. Is Logan with you?"

"No, I have no idea where he is. Did you see him come back down?"

"No, I got the he** out of dodge before he could come down and do anything for me trying to stop him from taking you."

"Sh*t, I hear someone unlocking the door."

"Stay strong!" I jumped up from the couch as the door opened and Logan walked in. His smell hit me, and I felt my legs get weak. Sofia purred in my head. "Stop that!" I yelled at her.

"I can't help it..." she whined.

"How long are you going to keep me locked in here?"

"As long as I want to. Like I said, we need to figure out what to do with you."

"And just what am I supposed to do while you do that?!" I yelled, throwing my hands in the air. "I don't even have any of the stuff here! I want to go home!"

"You are home," he sneered. "I'll have someone go to your house to pack up your things."

"How are you going to know what I need or want from my house?" He glared at me for a second.

"Make a list," he muttered, walking into the kitchen and pulling out a pad of paper and a pen. I narrowed my eyes at him skeptically. This was the first 'nice' thing he had ever done for me. He walked back into the living room and offered me the pad. I took it and our fingers grazed. I felt the same magnetic electricity run through my hand that I did when he grabbed my arm. I tried to keep my composure, as Sofia melted at the feeling.

"I don't understand why I can't leave. Everyone knows I'm your mate by now, they all saw and heard everything." I wanted to distract myself from the desire that was building inside me.

"We both know you'll run the second I let you go. I'm not letting you out of my sight." We stared at each other in silence for a moment. He was right about one thing, the second I got out of here I was running for it, whether he accepted my rejection or not. He took a step towards me, and I matched his with a step back.

"You don't have to be afraid of me."

"Like he** I don't. You have made my life a living nightmare for fifteen years, and now suddenly, because of some magical mate bond, you're gonna stop hating me? Fat chance." I saw hurt flash across his face. Did he think I would forgive everything he'd done because he was my mate? This man was delusional.

"It could be different in private," he said, taking another step. This time I didn't back away, I held my ground.

"You tortured me for years, never having one kind thing to say about me, you took me and locked me in this room, refusing to accept my rejection, and now you think we'll be mates in private, but I'll let you abuse me in public? I hate you; don't you understand that? With every fiber of my being, I hate you!" I spat the last words out at him. He didn't say anything for a second.

"I guess we'll have to find a different arrangement then. I'll be back for your list." He turned around and stomped back through the door, locking it behind him.
