Marcos

"You don't belong here," I told the woman sharply and she yelped, jumping a foot in the air. I jumped down from the tree I was in and she stilled. Her heart was beating so fast but slowly, she steadied it. "Turn around," I ordered but she shook her head. I walked toward her when she quickly turned around and threw two daggers at me and I ducked just in time. She was quick for a little thing like herself, "Who are you?" I was curious about her and what are you doing here?" I questioned. The woman wore a black ensemble that covered her whole face except her eyes.

"What's a human doing here," I mused, but I was soon proved wrong when her eyes glowed red. I sniffed the air to catch her scent but she didn't have one.

"You're a shifter," She only scoffed and got out a bow and arrow I didn't see earlier. She aimed at me and I could tell that they were silver.

"Stay away from me," She ordered, carefully trying to back away. Her voice made me smile, it was smooth but commanding, however, she couldn't command me. I was a Lycan Alpha.

I continued to approach her and she let go of the arrow but I dodged it, she kept going and I could tell that she was good.

"You're wasting them," I told her and she squinted her eyes at me. She quickly turned away and ran but I followed after her, and easily caught up with her at lightning speed. She tried to attack me with blows but I threw her against the tree. I inwardly cursed when I saw she was injured and was having a hard time getting up.

"Are you okay?" I found myself asking, standing over her. I hissed in pain when I felt a pain in my leg only to realize she f*****g stabbed me.

"b***h, and how many of those do you have," I grumbled. Hovering over her, I pinned her hands over her head and used my free hand to remove the cloak from her face. My blood ran cold, and I quivered, I f*****g quivered. The woman beneath me was f*****g beautiful, her skin was fair and flawless, her silky red hair covered her face, and her nose was pretty just like her plum lips, and I wanted to kiss them, so much. She knew her beauty because she smirked, and kicked my balls when I let down my guard. She quickly picked herself up to leave but I grabbed her leg, making her fall to the ground with a crunch.

"Let go of me, you disgusting animal!" She yelled, frustrated. I pinned her to the ground again, her chest was heaving.

"Be still and I will, Crazy!" I shouted, jerking her. She froze and looked me dead in the eyes. I inhaled, my breath shuddering as her mesmerizing hazel eyes glowed red.

"What's your name?" I whispered. She seemed surprised by my question and it took her a long time to answer.

"Elaine, Elaine May," She said with a small smile on her lips and she did it, without knowing, she stole my breath away. That f*****g drop-dead gorgeous smile was everything, she enchanted me right away!

"I'm pleased to meet you, Elaine," She was just staring into my eyes. Elaine was disoriented for some reason and I wondered why, has no one ever called her name in a long time?

"I'm Elaine," She whispered more to herself. I nodded and smiled at her.

"You're a hunter, a shifter hunter, how?" I asked when realization dawned on me.

"Experiment," She answered curtly. I remembered king Leondre telling us about the shifter hunters, she must have been one of them.

"So you came in here to kill shifters, your new kind?" I asked, looking into the bag she had near the tree.

"No, I was hunting for food and you happen to be here," She retorted.

"How did you leave the facility?"

"I escaped, I just couldn't stand it any longer,"

"What are you doing in these regions?"

"Surviving. I'm sure Doc Fen has people out looking for me to take me back to the lab," She said. She grabbed her bag pack and threw it over her shoulder.

"Can I leave, Alpha?" She asked and I was surprised she knew I was one.

"How did you know,"

"Your aura, it's different from other shifters I have met," She sighed.

"Where's your home?"

"I have no home, I stay anywhere," She answered. She was walking now and I followed her like a little puppy. She didn't seem to mind. We soon reached a cave deep in the forest. The only thing we could hear was the chirping of birds and water close by. "I'm staying here for now," She threw her bag to the ground and sat on a huge rock before drinking water from a bottle. I found myself swallowing when some of it ran down her now visible throat. Damn, I could lick that. Focus, Marcos, I scolded myself. Her gaze caught mine and I was the first to avert contact, surveying the site. It wasn't bad for camping.

"How long have you been here?"

"A month or so." She lay on the boulder, her arms under her head as she looked at the sky.

"How do you get supplies?"

"You don't want to know, trust me," She narrowed her icy gaze on me.

We stayed silent for a while and it was the first time in a long time that I felt... Calm. Elaine, I practiced her name on my tongue and my inner Lycan loved it. I don't know how long we stayed there but I only got to my feet when my brother mind-linked me. He wanted to discuss something with me.

"I have to leave," I told her and she frowned.

"Okay," I looked at her again before turning to walk away but she asked.

"What's your name?"

"Marcos, my name is Marcos Chasia," She smiled and nodded. I quickly shifted into my beast and ran home, however, leaving her there didn't feel right to me. What if a bear attacked or something?

'We should have taken her with us, My Lycan said. He liked the pretty hunter.

'We'll go back to her tomorrow, I told him.
