Cole, Jay, Lyon, Happy, Theo, Sophie, and I managed to get Amara from the rogues and killed everyone on the property. The fight was quick and lasted less than ten minutes, they outnumbered us by far but we outmatched them. The rogue boss was last to die and my dragon and I did take our sweet time killing him.

I enjoyed his begging and screams that echoed through the forest but I still wasn’t satisfied, I wanted to kill him again and again.

We are at the Castle’s infirmary where Amara is being treated, her body is bruised and she has suffered internal injuries and a broken arm but they say she will fully heal in a few weeks, it would have been easier if she shifted but she didn’t because it wasn’t a full moon.

I’m pacing, eyes riveting on the surgery door, how did I let all this happen to her? That man was crazy and obsessed, if we didn’t reach there the moment we did, we couldn’t have known how far he’d go. He touched my mate, and my b***d is boiling at the thought of that.

” Relax, she’ll be alright,” Lyon says, I nod but will my heart be? Sure, she’ll be alright physically but what about, emotionally and other parts of her that will need healing for the pain I’ve caused her.

Sophie, Happy, and the other twin are staying far from us, their glare here while Lulu just looks worried, the little girl has tears in her eyes and I notice how expectantly she looks when the door opens.

My brother Theo and Isabella join us in the waiting room, they have changed into fresh clothes now.

” Brother, hello guys,” He salutes us, Bella, just waves and glares at us before going to Amara’s friends.

” How is she?” Theo asks

” The doctors say she will be okay but they are still treating her,” Jay informs him knowing I don’t want to talk.

An hour later, the door opens and we all crowd the doctor, asking how she’s doing. Doctor Lin chuckles and raises her hands

” Relax, your friend is resting, we’ve given her some sedatives because her body was in so much pain,” I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding, the doctor continues to explain that she will be needing rest, and therapy after this and she will arrange it, what happened was traumatizing.

I notice Isabella and Sophie exchange a glance.

” Alice, can you take Lulu to the castle for rest, two rooms were arranged for you guys,” Indeed, it is already very late. Lulu frowns subtle

” Can I see, sissy, please?” she asks kindly to the doctor, pouting.

The doctor shakes her head sadly ” My dear, she is resting now but you can tomorrow,” The child scowls and looks up to me, I stroke her hair,

” I’ll bring you here tomorrow, Lulu, promise,” She sighs and smiles faintly before holding her elder sister’s hand. A maid comes to take them away.

The doctor faces us ” You should all go, no one is allowed to see her,” She says sternly, her eyes fixed on me, does she know my connection to Amara?

Doc Lin turns on her heel but Sophie calls her. She looks unsure whether to ask, glancing at me.

” Did, he … um..you know, force her?”

My heart drops, and my chest tightens once again at her question.

” No, Sophie, but I wouldn’t want to imagine what he could have if you didn’t get there on time,” The doctor answers and walks away.

The others leave but I decided to stay, determined to see her no matter what, and mostly, I’m not letting her sleep alone. As soon as the nurses leave her room, I sneakily get in. My heart drummed loudly in my chest and when I see her, my heart aches painfully. Amara is lying on the bed with her eyes closed and a few medical machines are attached to her arm. She has lost weight so much weight in a few days, and her skin is pale. I see visible red cuts and bruises on her body, she has a dark eye as well.

My legs involuntarily carry me to her, and I take in her image. Even when she’s sleeping like this, tears are rolling down her face, and I can’t take it, my emotions overwhelm me until I fall on the nearest chair, still holding her hand as my eyes water. Regret, pain, and anguish are the emotions I recognize within me, I bury my face in her neck and sob while asking for forgiveness.

I didn’t hear the door open but I feel a hand on my shoulder and someone wraps their arms around me. Who is it? I don’t turn to the female, but it’s comfortable and her warmth, is just like mother.

Calming myself and wiping my face, I turn around, but abruptly get up, there is a strikingly beautiful woman in front of me, She has big soft eyes that have a hint of darkness to them, platinum long white hair, and is almost two-foot shorter than me with a fit and tanned skin. Her skin is smooth and flawless and has a beautiful shade of golden brown that makes it hard to not notice, just like Queen Lucille. Her unique eyes are watching my face with peculiar interest, even tilting her head a little, waiting for me to speak.

She feels familiar and my heart is thumping as my lips utter,

” Amora?”

Her lips stretch into a smile and she nods ” Hi, baby brother,” She almost cries. I can’t believe that I’m seeing a b***d relative of mine and how did she find me? Before I can ponder, she wraps her arms around me, and slowly mine do the same, we stay in an embrace for a long time.

We leave the room and go outside, walking through the large corridor. Amora has a frown on her lips and she finally looks up at me.

” Let’s talk in here,” I direct her to a private lounge, two or three nurses that were they get to their feet, bow and exit the room. As we sit on the couch, a waiter walks toward us.

” Can I get you something?”

” Yes, a latte for me, please,” Amora smiles at the man.

” And you, my Prince?”

” Black Coffee,”

The servant leaves and later comes back with our coffee.

” How did you find me?” I ask,

” Well. I’ve always known where you are but I couldn’t bring myself to approach you,” She explains, I tilt my head to her, why was she scared to show herself?

Before I can ask, she speaks, ” Your life is perfect, I didn’t want to ruin it,” She averts her gaze quickly from me. Hesitantly, I reach for her hand and smile

” I’ve been looking for you,”

She raises her eyebrows at me, ” How did you know about me?”

” I’ve been having these vivid dreams about a little white Dragon,” I tell her all about my dreams and she seems to understand, she has been having dreams about me too, her Dragon and mine are connecting as they grow older.

” What made you come find me?” I ask with interest.

” Well, Charlie told me about a young prince looking for me, and that he has quite a temper! I couldn’t believe that you knew about me,” She smiles, showing me her perfect white teeth.

” I have been looking for you for a long time. You are so hard to get in touch with,”

Amora sighs ” Well, I’m a white Dragon and a lot of creatures want to get one, either for magic, power, breeding purposes, or for keeps and Lucien is on my tail now,” I growl when she finishes explaining.

” It’s okay, I can handle Lucifer and the others,” She says confidently. She looks amused and excited. She enjoys this.

We continue talking about our lives, and the four-nation Dragons, she lives in one of our parent’s castles and is a businesswoman.

” I forgot to do something, can we go back to your mate’s room?”

” What did you forget to do?”

” You’ll see,”

I nod and follow suit, Amara is still sleeping and I walk to the bed, holding her hand and kissing it.

Amora walks closer and smiles at me,

” She’s beautiful,”

” Yes, she is,”

She caresses Amara’s cheek softly and a visible bright light erupts on her skin. The dragon’s light is powerful enough to heal as I’ve read and only a few gifted females have it. Amara exhales visibly and her skin returns to her normally fair skin color, even the dark eye is back to normal.

” Wow,” I muse, her body temperature is even warm.

Later, I take Amora to the castle to meet my parents and introduce her but surprisingly, she has already seen my parents before coming here.

It’s almost 9 pm as we walk to the main room, everyone is there, chatting and laughing, my mother is the first one to notice us.

” Oh, there they are!” She says, standing up, and everyone does the same, they are smiling, so mother and father have told them. Dove runs to me on her little legs and jumps into my arms, I k**s her, and she giggles.

” Hi, Birdie,” I k**s her again. My baby sister turns to Amora.

” Brother, she is the new sister?” She asks, smiling. Before we can answer, Venice approaches us excitedly.

” Yes Birdie, she’s so pretty, right?” Venice answers, ” You know, I saw you when you entered and I was in awe, you are so pretty! I like your clothes, I want to look just like you when I grow up!” She screeches. Amora smiles and caresses Dove’s hair then Venice

” Thank you, You’re Prettier!”

” Do you model? I’m so sure I saw you in a magazine, BTW, I love your boots,” Venice continues to say excitedly. I shake my head and go to my parents. My brothers Liam and Axel greet Amora politely.

” Where is Theodore?” I ask Axel, he only shrugs and continues drawing in his notebook while Liam plays games on the screen. These two are opposite, while Liam has an outgoing personality, Axel is not and all he seems to do is paint, he doesn’t even socialize.

We take our seats and Venice and Dove are still obsessing over Amora and asking her questions about the Dragon nations.

” So, you’re a Queen to which nation?” Asks Venice, but before she can respond, Birdie asks another,

” Where is your crown?”

Amora answers them patiently. She also discusses a few things with my parents but clearly, my sisters want all her attention. Suddenly, Amora stops mid-sentence to look around.

” Hello, everyone,” Theodore greets as he walks in, he went for a run. He stops in his tracks and stares at Amora, I see recognition in their eyes, and Amora stands up.

” You?” They say in unison. After a few seconds, Theo turns to everyone,

” Is this the sister you all won’t shut up about?”

” Yes, brother, this is Amora, the beautiful Amora,” Liam grins, checking out Amora.

” Or the sister,” Adds Axel, not bothering to look up from his notebook.

” You’re a- a Prince?” Amora stutters,

” And you’re a Dragon Queen,” He states,

” f**k,” They mutter in unison.
