Ahyan pov

Yesterday, I attended a meeting with my father and the Vampire Council, my b***d was boiling when I saw Aiden but I knew to keep calm and I did, by letting Amara’s images fill my head and when we got back, she was already fast asleep and was told by Celeste that her heat was gone for now but it will return, a smile appeared on my lips as I thought about what happened last time we were in the same room, she was insatiable and wanted to mate but I knew that was her wolf and I wouldn’t take advantage of her when she’s vulnerable, she deserves better.

I go downstairs to get breakfast before school but surprisingly, I find my friends in the dining room, eating. I greet them and take a seat at the table.

They were there at the court with the council yesterday, so we discuss that.

” Cullen, has she left for school already?” The butler nods,

” She left with Princess Amora a few minutes ago,” He informs me, I knew that Amora is leaving today, she has been postponing her trip for days because of her connection to my brother, something is going on between her and Theo but I choose not to be involved as it is not my business.

Amora is soon getting married to a king of the dragon nation to strengthen the dragon empires… My parents’ nation was the strongest but so is her betrothed’s, king Simon. They shall be untouchable once the two dragon Empires are combined.

We go to school, but I can feel something is wrong, there are no students in the parking lot and people are cheering inside. I glance at Cole but he only shrugs

” Guys, come see this!” Jay hollers, looking at his phone. We go to him and see what he’s looking at, students are surrounding a group of fighting girls, Lyon gets his phone to watch it there, the fight is interesting but I frown as I notice something familiar about the girl sitting on top of another.

” Ahyan, she looks like your girl but it can’t right..” I hear Jay trail.

” f**k, that’s Sophie!” Cole shouts, dropping Jay’s phone as he rushes into the school, my eyes widen when I see my mate fighting on the floor. I rush inside and push a group of students out of my way. I grab my mate by her waist and lift her off Sheila, Amara is thrashing and squirming to get out of my arms.

” Let me f*****g go!” She is kicking and screaming, I hug her from behind and inhale her sweet scent.

It hurt hearing her revolt me like that, but I oblige, and she stands next to Sophie who puts a hand around her. Both girls are bleeding and have some visible cuts on their skin but they are in a far much better shape than Sheila and Debra. I glance at her, proud of my mate but she only glares at me. I try to walk toward her but the principal comes.

” Girls, follow me,” He orders. All four girls follow Mr. Weilsh to his office, and Amara glares at me one last time and I swallow, not wanting her hate. I’m left to wonder what has angered her so much that they were fighting, I know Amara, she doesn’t like violence. The students are beginning to disperse and I grab one of the student’s arms.

” What happened, why were they fighting?” I snarl. He looks taken back and he trembles, I release him.

” Well, because Debra and some girls were mocking that girl, Amara, you know the one you piped,” He answers, with a mischievous expression on his face as one of his friends asks

” Man, can you send me the video too?”

I growl at the two boys and they run away, I run a hand through my hair, I knew they will be gossiping. Damn f*****g Debra, I should have killed that b***h, she will pay for this!

Frustrated, I let out a bloody loud growl that makes the walls shake. Some students close by scream and scurry in different directions, only leaving me with my friends. I clutch my fist and punch the wall next to me, Amara hates me, now she will never forgive me.

I continue punching the wall until I have b***d on my knuckles, pushing my friends away as they try to stop me.

I’m f*****g angry, angry with myself for all the pain I’m causing her. She doesn’t deserve this!

A few minutes later, I calm down however, I don’t go to class, instead, go on the roof to a smoking spot, I pull my weed and exhale, feeling better with time but it’s just not enough. I need to get f.cking high to forget all this. I rush to my locker, getting the ecstasy pills I kept. I’m not a drug abuser or an addict but I do it sometimes when I have to or when I feel like s**t. I go back to the roof and take the pills, slowly the world begins to fade and stay calm, it’s quiet and my mind is at peace, and with that, I don’t know what happened for the rest of the day.

I grunt and hold my head in pain as I roll off my bed , I don’t remember how or when I got here. I walk to my window to get some air. I rest my elbows on the window sill and close my eyes. I don’t turn the light back on but I can make out a silhouette of a woman in the corner, I don’t flinch even though her eyes are red with anger, and she is growling menacingly at me.

” You’re back,” I sigh, throwing myself on the floor, facing the ceiling.

” Drugs? Are you kidding me, Prince Ahyan,” Meredith is seething in anger and I hold my fingers to my ears. What is she doing here anyway?

” Do you know what would have happened if Ron and I weren’t the ones to find you on the castle gates, barely holding yourself up and behaving like a maniac?” She scolds, oh she’s the one who found me, that’s why mother or father isn’t here to scold me.

” Can I have some food?” I ask, now she looks livid. Meredith has been my nanny since I can remember, she has loved and supported me in a lot of ways over the years, she left for Italy months ago to be with her husband and kids.

She kicks me in the gut and I g***n, coughing ” Get your own f.cking food, boy”

She sighs audibly and sits down on the couch, glaring at me. I smile and soon her lips quiver as they try to hold a smile.

” I kinda missed you,” I confess and she smiles widely, getting up and asks me to do the same, I do with difficulty and she wraps her arms around my neck.

” I missed you a lot kiddo, why don’t you ever answer my phone calls?” She asks.

” Why? So that you can scold me? I know mom keeps you informed about everything that is going on,”

Meredith only sighs and I pull away. She gives me a tiny smile.

” Ahyan, you’re a good man,”

” No, I’m not! I hurt her… my mate,” I g***n, bitterly looking away from her gaze.

Soon we go to the huge kitchen where she orders the chefs to make me food, I check the time and it says 8.30 pm.

My former nanny and I sit in the living room to talk, she didn’t like what I did and scolded me… A lot. Only makes me feel terrible. I tell her that I regret my actions and want to do better.

” I’m developing strong feelings for her, everywhere I go she’s all I see, and believe it or not, I can’t even l**t another girl without feeling guilty. Amara is in my f.cking head,” I sigh, and she chuckles, seeming pleased.

” That’s what it means to have a mate, they become the center of your life,” She explains, soon, the servants announce that the food is ready and we go to the dining room, the castle is quiet as everyone is in their apartments, I wonder if Amara is there. I need to see her soon and tell her that I will make the situation at school right, and will make sure all those motherfucking bullies never dare speak her name again.

” I want her, I need her, Meredith,”

The servants bring out trays of food, and we begin to eat, damn, I was starving.

” How are your kids?” I ask, she smiles, showing me a picture of her young triplets on her phone.

” They are doing well but are trouble magnets!” She exclaims ” And thanks for the presents, they loved them, you know that they are only twelve and can’t drive right?” She giggles. I thought they were older than that.

” I forgot,”

The door opens and Amara and Sophie walk in, they didn’t expect to find anyone in the dining room as the girls freeze in their tracks, they are wearing matching pajamas and both still have some cuts on their faces. Amara and I lock gazes, I find myself swallowing. I get up to walk toward her but she takes a step back.

” How are you?” I ask, surprising even myself at how soft my voice is. She doesn’t respond, just glaring at me.

” Amara, I’m so-” Before I can finish my sentence, she turns to her friend who was glaring at me as well.

” Let’s go,” She mumbles, grabbing her hand and turning but my nanny stops them.

” Girls, were you here to eat? please join us,” Meredith gets to her feet, and the two girls turn to her, she smiles and extend’s her hand.

” I’m Meredith, the queen’s lady in waiting and the children’s old nanny,” she introduces herself, after exchanging pleasantries, we all sit and the chefs bring out more food, Meredith asks them questions about their bruises, and Sophie answers, she is glaring at me.

” Well, the Prince here thought it a good idea to make a bet to sleep with Amara, and now, the whole school knows and his sluts won’t stop gossiping. But today they went too far so we kicked their asses.” Sophie explains that with a proud smile that would scare anyone.

” It’s good you put them in their place, I hate bullies,”

Amara is eating her corn silently, I bet she was starving as well after today’s events.I glance at her but she doesn’t even look at me.

The girls are conversing and the air is less tense now. The servants clear the dishes and bring in the dessert. We enjoy it but I notice Amara’s phone is receiving a lot of messages and I’m curious to know who is texting her so late at night, she even smiles when she’s replying to them. My Dragon is growling in my head, wanting to grab the phone from her.

” Is it Aiden again? To think he’d stop texting after you agreed to go on a date with him,” Sophie says, shrugging and showing something to Meredith on her phone.

I am Livid, I glare at Amara and for the first time, she looks at me. As if realizing her mistake, I hear Sophie’s panicked voice

” Oh my god, I didn’t- I’m sorry,”

” You f.cking went out on a date with him?” I growl.

Amara Pov

He looks mad, Ahyan is seething with anger as he glares at me and I hold his gaze. He made it clear that he doesn’t want me to spend any more time with the Vampire king. Well, after we left the principal’s office, we couldn’t go back to class so we went to Sophie’s house to relax and tend to our bruises when Aiden texted me, I denied his request to meet but he insisted so I agreed. We had a nice lunch at one of his buildings in the city.

It was beautiful and we talked a lot, he was worried about the bruises on my face though but I assured him I’m alright. Aiden is kind and such a gentleman to me, he was sweet, and later, we watched a movie. He dropped me off at Sophie’s house about two hours ago and we came here since that’s where my laptop was and I needed to do my English assignment.

” You f*****g went on a date with him,” Ahyan growls, his two obsidian eyes are intensely looking at me with anger yet I find them mesmerizing. I ignore him and face Meredith.

” We’ll go to bed now, we are supposed to get to school early tomorrow to do our punishment,” I say to the kind pretty lady, ” It was very nice knowing you, Meredith,”

” Okay Amara, do have a good night,” She says and I turn to Sophie, my friend’s eyes are filled with regret, but I slightly give her a grin.

” Let’s go, I don’t want you complaining all morning because you slept late,” I hold up my hand to her. She smiles and gets up, we start to walk out and I feel Ahyan’s gaze burning in me. As we are walking upstairs, I feel myself being abruptly lifted by this … f.cking brat. He throws me over his shoulder like I weigh nothing, I’m dangling and facing his back so i hit his back several times but it is like punching a wall.

” Ahyan let me go now!” I demand but he is taking large steps. Sophie is running behind us, asking him to put me down but Ahyan suddenly stops and turns to her. My friend gasps and takes steps back

” Don’t f*****g follow us, or so help me god I’ll burn you to a crisp,” Ahyan’s voice doesn’t sound like his, this is an order Sophie can’t ignore and for the first time, she looks scared, shaking, and frozen in place.

” Ahyan, put me down,” I say but he only s****s my a*s, making me squeal, and hit back with my elbow again.

” Sophie, It’s fine. I’ll be back,” I try to smile assuringly. She doesn’t answer instead just nods her head slightly. Ahyan begins to walk until we are in the Queen’s Lavender flower room. The room is beautiful and smells amazing, its walls are completely covered in flowers. It is surprisingly warm and huge with a large purple sofa in the corner. I smile, inhaling deeply ” It’s beautiful,” I whisper.

” Axel was born here, the room is very auspicious and has great importance to my mother, that’s why father had it done this way for her, it’s her favorite room in the castle,” Ahyan says, his voice is calm.

” It’s amazing, the details and patterns… Just how?” I’m amazed.

Ahyan is standing behind me and I feel his arms circle my waist and his face is in the crook of my neck, being this close and feeling his hot breath against my skin makes a warmth sensation run through my body. We are silent and I close my eyes when he begins to k**s my neck.
