Amara Pov

I was experiencing pain like never before as my bones broke over and over, Prince Theodore is asking me to breathe, I grip his arm tightly and he crouches down next to me.

” It hurts,” I cry, Somehow, Theo manages to get me away from the castle into the forest nearby. He is instructing me to breathe and let my wolf take over. I nod through my tears and close my eyes, I feel as my nails elongate and my teeth sharpen. My senses are heightened and I can hear everything from a distance.

” Good,” Theo’s voice is soft and soothing. Soon, my skin recedes from my body and is replaced by fur, beautiful silver fur. My eyes are blurry and through a distance I see Lady Isabella coming to stand next to Theo, the Prince only glances at her for a second while caressing my fur.

” You did it, run free and I’ll be here when you return, okay,” He smiles, I look at him a while longer, grateful that he was there to help me through the experience, a normal transformation takes hours to complete but thanks to his guidance and soothing words it took minutes. I turn on my paws and run through the woods. the wind is in my fur and Rhudo and I connect in a way I didn’t think possible, we are one body and soul.

I don’t know how long I’ve been running through the forest but it’s amazing, I howl loudly as I run.

Ahyan Pov

I’m in a meeting with my father, generals, Senators, and ministers, we are all a total of 50, talking about the welfare of the realms. I miss Amara already and I can’t wait to be with her.

” I was thinking that now we are on good terms with the Vampires, the Dragons have never been trouble but we still need to renew our alliance with all their nations as it was made decades ago,” General Illinois says. I nod my support, indeed the Dragon realms have been at peace with werewolves for hundred years.

” The new Demon leader wants peace with us, he wrote to us a month ago,” Dad speaks, getting everyone’s attention.

” Seeing we made peace with Vampires, they were scared that we might attack them again for what happened years ago?” Says Minister Yang, Debra’s grandfather.

” What were they doing years ago?” Asks Cole, confused.

” We killed their kind because they were hunting down Dragons to fuel their power,” Explains his father Darren, my dad’s second in command.

Indeed, we don’t know how Demons knew that they could increase their power by using Dragons’ b***d and scales, it was them who attacked the Eastern nation, my homeland. A vicious battle that killed my biological parents. My chest constricts at the thought of that.

” He has reached the bureaucracy but they are so many against his peace treaty with us, some of his high officials don’t want peace, they want retribution against us and still want to kill Dragons for more power, so I hear from my spies,” A female general informs us, holding some documents with the Demon’s seal on it.

” Well, the Dragons want to officially lunge an attack against the demon clans, they did kill the King and Queen of the Eastern Nation and caused a dispute in all nations,” My uncle, Enol says, his gaze on me just like everyone else.

” king Rayan, I don’t think the Dragons will want us to make peace with the demons, they will take it as a betrayal and attack us to retaliate,”

” Dragons are planning to attack the demons sooner or later, making it bad timing to respond to the demon’s letter for a peace treaty ,”

Dragons and Demons have been at war for so long and now that the Demons want peace with the werewolves but the Dragon Nations won’t like this and may cancel any form of alliance with the packs.

The Dragon Nations are divided into four, Eastern, Western, Southern and Northern nations, in each are about over 3000 populations of Dragons and are governed by a king or Queen. They are divided by borders, however, the nations don’t get along mostly because some leaders want more territory by invading and claiming it forcibly.

Amora mentioned that the Western and southern are after her Nation because of the region they are in, it has a lot of natural minerals and the land is fertile and so far, making it the wealthiest. So they have been attacked and some towns have been claimed, that’s why she is supposed to marry the king of the Northern nation to strengthen their forces.

” We can’t accept the Demon’s offer for peace, however, there is a way to get all supernatural to be at peace,” Says Prime Minister Johnson, I narrow my gaze at the short man, he always has a grimace on his rabbit-like face. His eyes land on me and I raise an eyebrow.

” The Demon king and ambassadors suggested a union,”

I don’t think I like where this is going.

” No,” My father snarls.

” A union between whom?” I ask uncle Enol. He smirks

” Kiddo, you are not going to like this,”

A growl resonates from my throat and I look at my father

” well, you are the Prince of the most powerful Dragon nation so far and a werewolf Royalty… legally,”

” I’m aware,”

” They want a marriage union between you and the Demon Princess. This way to bring peace between the Dragon nations and Demon clans,”

I shake my head, this can’t be happening, no. I have a mate who I made promises to never hurt, I can’t. Drakon is growling in my head, he refuses to acknowledge anyone as ours other than Amara.

” We are close to achieving the goal we’ve always wanted. Peace among the supernatural races,” One high official says sternly.

” The Demon ambassadors have also presented this idea to the four Dragon nations, they need this peace for now while they are busy fighting themselves for territory,” Sighs an old general.

‘ Calm down Ahyan, this will be your decision. No one will force anything on you,’ Comes my father’s voice through the link. He seems calm. I nod to him

‘ Why me though?’ My voice is soft, my father’s sapphire eyes soften and I forget that he is the most powerful being in the world, that he holds more power than any supernatural leader. When he looks at me the way he is right now, so fatherly and full of love, I know that he will settle this. There is no man I admire more, and even though we don’t share the same b***d, he has done nothing but love me, that’s why I know he will do what’s best for me and my future, heck, he’s making me heir to his billion-dollar empire.

‘ Because of the powerful influence you have on the nations and werewolf realm, you are an anchor for all of us,’

‘ Dad, what about Amara, I just-‘

‘ I know, as I said, no one will force my son, a Prince to do what he doesn’t want,’

‘ But you always say that the realms should come first, It’s our duty and as members of the Royal family who governs all supernatural beings, everyone has a part to play,’

He sighs and nods

‘ Don’t worry about that for now,’

The meeting continues and the issue changes from the realms to the companies, all is alright in that section.

I abruptly get up when I receive a mindlink from my brother, Amara is shifting, I need to get there immediately.

‘ I need to leave, my mate needs me,’

I bow to my father, he nods and I exit the room, rushing to the elevator then go on the roof, once I’m there, I shift into my Dragon and fly in the direction of the castle.

‘ She has completed her shift,’ My brother’s voice sounds in my head again.

‘ Was it hard for her?’

Most female werewolves have a hard time shifting as they are not as strong as the males and don’t train as much as males do.

‘ It was at first because she kept fighting it but I guided her and it was easy, she’s on a run but some guards are watching her just so that she doesn’t venture too far,’

I land when I’m near the forest and shift back, getting a pair of shorts behind a tree. I put them on and walk to my brother but he seems to be in a heated conversation with Isabella and she’s crying. I wait here, not wanting to interrupt them, but with each passing minute, their voices are rising.

” I can’t help it, Bella! Do you think I want to feel this way for her? She’s my f.cking mate!”

“And Bethrothed to another! ” Little Bella screams, angry.

” I know but I still want her,” He says softly, looking desperate. Isabella sniffles.

” She’s a Queen to a powerful nation, and she will put it first. You said it yourself, it’s best if she marries him to secure her nation, or others will take it from her!”

Isabella wipes her tears and breaths in, placing both her hands on my brother’s chest

” Love, don’t be selfish and let her go, please Theo, I want to go back to how we were before that f*****g night at the club, I shouldn’t have taken you there, it’s my fault,”

He cups her face and k****s her forehead before wrapping his arms around her.

” I will need time, Bella,” He whispers to her. When they pull apart, only do they notice me.

” Brother,”

I walk towards them, Isabella only nods to me with a small smile

” I’ll be in the suite,” She says, walking in the direction of the castle. I stand next to my younger brother, we are both silent as we wait for her. I touch his shoulder and he smiles at me.

” Thank you for helping Amara through her transformation,” I wish I was there but I’m glad he was.

“ No problem. I’m just happy you found her. I hope you stay together till the end of time, ” He says.

“ What are you going to do about your situation with my sister?” I ask. He runs a hand through his hair and chuckles bitterly.

“ I don’t know yet but I can’t let Amora go, Bro. I think about her all the time, her perfect smile, eyes, and every part of her is engraved in my head. I love her, I love her so much, I f.cking love her, Amora!” He confesses, smiling now and I’ve never seen him happier.

“ Then little Isabella will just have to understand and pray she gets her mate too,”

An hour has passed and I was getting worried, I can’t connect to her through the mindlink either.

‘ Where my mate?’ I connect to the guards who were watching her, they are silent and when I growl, they answer

‘ We’ve lost her sir, we have been looking for her for a while,’

And with those words, I froze and my world seemed to come to a halt.
