Amara Pov

I was glaring at Sheila who was apologizing to me for everything she did, something was up and I don’t believe her one bit! Firstly, her sister is standing in the corner of the room, seemingly in deep thoughts.

I cleared my throat after her ‘heartwarming apology’ note the sarcasm

” Okay, I’m late for class,” I shrug, moving past them but she gasps. I turn around to face her, giving her a bitchy look.

” I just apologized to you, do you know how hard that was and your response is okay?”

” Um, was I supposed to hug and thank you for apologizing?” I roll my eyes.

” HOW DARE YOU, AMARA!” She elongates my name

“Look, whatever sick game you’re playing won’t work, I have no time for you,” I say. She laughs

” Sweetheart the only person that plays games is your mate, I see him around that Farah girl lately,” My heart skips a bit at what she says but I keep a straight face. I knew it, this is all Farah’s game, she wants Ahyan so she will do everything possible to bring any kind of doubt between us, and I know that Sheila is being used by the demon princess. I will f.cking kill that b***h one of these days.

” Okay, fine, if you don’t believe me go to the high club tonight, you’ll see them f*****g,” she says with a sick smile, daring me. I move past her, Ahyan will never cheat on me, he loves me.

After my class finishes, I tell Sophie everything that girl told me, and she insists we go check for ourselves.

” Ahyan will never do that,” I say as we walk to her car,

” The boys will be going to the club tonight, I think we should just surprise them,” She says, Ahyan mentioned that they are having a guy’s night out.

We reach the castle, my new home, and walk to my room when we meet Theo, he is in a good mood, texting someone on his phone

” Hey,” We wave. He smiles coming to greet us

” Hi, ladies,”

” Who’s got you all smiling?” I ask, eyeing him. He shows me his phone

” Amora, she agreed to go on a date with me, and I have a feeling she’ll agree to be my mate, for real,”

Theo has been persuading Amora for months, he has even visited her nation.

” How are you so sure?”

” Because Simon is backing out of the wedding, I think he found his mate as well,”

I smile, happy for Theo. He deserves this win.

” We are so happy for you, Prince Theo,”

” Thank you,”

We proceed to my suite and I throw myself on the bed, facing the ceiling.

” I know you want to show Ahyan that you trust him but aren’t curious to know?”

Sophie presses, she just wants to spy on Cole.

” Nope,” I lie, I do what to trust him, and if he sees me there, I might just create a rift between us.

After hours of convincing me, I agree. I’m wearing a white mini dress and heels, doing my make-up and putting my hair in a bun, I present myself to Sophie

” Gorgeous, baby girl,” She says with a smile. She stands up and I gape at how pretty she looks in a pink leather dress and heels.

” You look sexy!” She pats her shoulders with a smile and pulls me for a selfie. We take pictures before going downstairs, we talk a little with Venice and my sister before going outside.

There is a car waiting to take us to the club. As soon as we reach the club we are allowed entrance without a fuss, making others who were standing in line complain. The music is blaring and people are already high, my eyes immediately search for Ahyan, but I don’t see him. Sophie grabs my hand and takes me to the bar for shots, and goes to the dancefloor.

” Shouldn’t we be looking for the guys?” I say in her ears,

” Later, the club has just opened,” She says, dancing and urging me to do the same.

Soon, we get lost in our world of bliss and I find myself dancing with a tall male, his h**s are meeting mine at a sensual pace, making my wolf angry,

‘ We are just having fun!’

I say

‘ yuck, he’s not my mate! You’re disgusting,’ She snarls and I laugh.

I’m having such a good time, Sophie brings us more shots than we drink. As we continue to dance and my body suddenly feels hot. I abruptly turn to the man I’m dancing with, the bring lights are reflecting on his face but I can make out his sharp jaw and sharp features. He smiles at me and his eyes light up gold, I take a step back but he grabs my waist roughly.

” Come with me and your friend will live, if you so much as try to fight, I’ll have my friend snap her pretty little neck,” He says. My heart is frantic and I turn to Sophie, she looks so high and the man she’s dancing with has a smirk on his face. Caressing her neck lightly

” Amara, we are going outside together and you will pretend like everything is alright,” He repeats slowly this time. I nod and follow him outside, knowing that if I attempt to do anything, Sophie will die.

We reach the parking lot, away from the bright lights and people. I can now clearly see the man, he’s tall, with thick brown hair and crimson eyes. He has a smirk on his lips,

” You’re a good dancer,”

I growl at his comment” What do you want from me,”

” Nothing,” He starts to walk towards me and I mentally prepare myself to fight him, but as soon as he’s in arm’s reach, I feel a sharp pain in my neck and I try to fight the darkness that is about to take me but it’s useless, it completely envelopes me.

Ahyan Pov

The boys and I didn’t go to the club as planned, instead, we threw a party on a yacht, it is going well and fun when I receive an attachment, it is a picture of my mate and a man, almost kissing. I was fuming, my fist shivered in anger and if I stayed here any longer, I’ll risk burning everyone. Drakon is even more upset, is Amara hooking up with this man? I shift into my Drakon, flying to the shore.

‘ Bro, why did you leave like that?’ Lyon mind links me.

‘ Amara is hooking up with some guy,’ I growl

‘ What?!’ comes Cole’s voice enraged.

‘ I received an email, they were pictures and oh, dude, Sophie was with a man,’

‘ No f*****g way, I’ll kill the bastard,’ He grits, I shift back once on shore and wait for Cole to get here, I order a servant to bring me a change of clothes and while I wait, I take in deep breaths, spitting fire from my mouth and throwing fireballs. It said in the message that they are hooking up.

Cole lands and gets out of the speed boat just as Ron brings me a pair of clothes. I thank him and change into that.

” What happened?” Asks Cole, I only show him the many pictures I received and at this point, he is fuming with anger too.

” They are in a club, maybe they were intoxicated,” I try to convince myself.

” They do look high, Ahyan who sent you this?”

“It’s anonymous,”

We get into the sports car and drive to the club, we look for the girls to no avail, we also check the cameras and see them leaving the club, Amara was the first one to leave then Sophie and the man who was touching her in the wrong places. Making her chosen mate roar in rage. The cameras however don’t show us anything more. I growl and punch one of the screens, breaking it.

We go to the garage and search there, we try to mind link them but they don’t answer, I can’t even feel her wolf, now, my anger is dissipating as worry take over me.

” Where could they be? And why did they come without security,”

I spot a shadow in a corner and use my superspeed to go there

” You,”

” My prince,” She bows, she goes to Amara’s high school.

” Nat?” Calls Cole, coming towards us. He sighs ” Dude, I thought we talked about this, I’m happy with Sophie and-“

” I’m not here for that,” She quickly interjects him.

” I know where the girls are, someone set them up,”

” What are you talking about?” I growl, making her flinch and take a step from me.

” Natasha, what are you talking about?”

The girl looks affronted by this ” My name is Natalie, not Natasha,”

” Same thing!” Shouts Cole, losing his patience.

” No, it’s not, A*****e!” She yells.

I growl, making them quiet.

” Natalia, what happened to my mate?”

” It’s Natalie,”

” You are wasting my f.cking time, speak before I lose my patience, Natalie,” I draw her name. She sighs

” Someone told me that some men are taking them to a hotel, they drugged them and will probably do all vile things then send pictures to make it look like they cheated,” She says.

Who would do that to my mate but I don’t have time to ponder over it, my girl is in danger

” Set up by whom?” She shakes her head violently, on the verge of tears

” Please, you’ll kill her,” She cries

” I’ll deal with you later,” I growl, getting away from them with my speed but realizing there are dozens of hotels in the city and can’t search one by one. I go back to Natalieeee and she tells us the exact hotel, luckily it’s one of Jay’s and they let us in without a fuss, we go to the tallest floor, and with shaking hands, the female manager opens it.

I growl at the sight in front of me, my mate is on the bed, a f*****g demon pressed against my body, he doesn’t even hide his scent or himself.

” I’ll find Sophie,” I hear Cole say in a distance but all I see is red. He jumps off her, shaking in fear at my sight but ready for a fight. I glance over at the bed where my mate is, she is shivering and crying but doesn’t move. She was drugged. I immediately attack the demon, he tries to fight me but I’m stronger than him. In a rage, I snap his neck and he dies.

I go to my mate and help her sit up, wiping her tears.

” Hey, baby, I’m sorry. I got you now,” I pull her in my arms and she sobs loudly. We stay there for a long time, she’s crying in my arms and apologizing but she owes me no apology.

Half an hour later, she is slowly getting back to her senses and regaining her strength.

” Ahyan I’m sorry,” She cries. I nod and hold her tighter. I carry her in my arms and stand by the hotel window, I extend my wings and fly out.

‘ Dad, I killed a demon today,’ I inform my father through the mindlink.

‘ What happened, son?’

I explain everything to him and soon, we reach the castle, I lie her on my bed gently as she slept on our way here. I remove strands of hair from her face and k**s her lips. I mind link my friend to ask about Sophie.

‘ How’s Sophie,’

‘ She’s recovering, luckily he didn’t hurt her,’ I instruct a servant to stay with Amara and I go out, all this was the doing of that Demon b***h I’m sure, my dragon and Amara were right about her. I go straight to her apartment, the concierge tries to stop me but the glare in my eyes stops him. I go straight to her floor and kick the door open, it looks like they were celebrating something. Drakon takes over and speeds toward her, grabbing her by the neck and cutting her air supply, she tries to kick and scream but it’s ineffective.

” Prince Ahyan you will kill her,” A girl I recognize as Sheila screams.

Farah’s face is turning purple and she has stopped struggling in my grip.

” How dare you hurt my mate,” I growl. Her eyes suddenly turn bright red, showing me that her demon is taking over. There are small silver horns over her head and her claws have extended.

The girls that were with her scream in fear and run from the apartment when she divulges her true self.

I tighten my grip on her, my elongated nails digging into her hard skin. Disgusted by her, I throw her against the wall and she harshly lands on her back. She is breathing erratically, her face red, but I watch it go back to its original form.

Immediately, tears well in her eyes, and she begins to sob,

” Why- what are you talking about?” She stutters.

” I’m giving you 24 hours to get out of my city and never return, if any of my men spot you, they have an order to kill you on sight,”

She tries to justify herself but I don’t give her a chance to, the demon princess is on her knees crying and begging me to stay with her.

” She doesn’t deserve you, Ahyan!” She cries. I push her away with my leg.

” Please don’t reject me, please, please, I’ll do anything for you,” She continues to stutter. I push her out of my way and leave the apartment, the only reason I didn’t kill her on sight is because of the status she holds among the demons.

I ask Ron to find Natalieee so that she can tell me who was involved in this plot, they need to be banished from this city at once. I go back to the castle, to watch my mate.

I find her still asleep and I lie next to her, holding her and by reflex, she wraps her arms around me. I smile and inhale her scent.

The next day, I notice her body is hot and she is sweating. Amara stirs in my arms and flutters her eyes open. She smiles sadly at me and sits up.

” Ahyan, I’m sorry about last night,” She says, looking down at her hands. I tip her chin up so that she is facing me. I k**s her lips and caress her skin.

” It wasn’t your fault babe,”

She tells me what happened last night about that demon threatening them.

I help her take a shower which took longer because we kept messing around in the bath and I ask someone to bring her some medication as she is not feeling too well.

” Hungry?” I finish braiding her hair, she looks up at me and then back in the mirror

” Babe, you’ve improved,” She smiles, touching the two braids.

” Thanks,”

We leave the closet and go downstairs where my family is waiting for us, once there, they all welcome us and we enjoy our brunch with everyone conversing. I’m happy to see that Amara is accepted in my family and she’s happy around them too especially with Lushomo here.
