It’s been a week since Farah planned that attack against Sophie and I. The demon Princess was banished from the city and is now married off to some Prince far in the middle west. I was regaining my strength quickly and I have the pendant my mate gave me to thank, that demon would have assaulted me or even killed me if the pendant didn’t protect me with its light, it even burnt him when he tried to take it from my neck.

” So I have a confession,” He says as we take a walk in the vast garden.

I take my hand in his and look at him, silently encouraging him to continue

” I’ve been having these erotic dreams about a woman lately,” I squint my eyes at him, Ahyan clears his throat, a little embarrassed I think.

” It’s not me, is it?” I say sadly but he keeps quiet, thinking about something.

” Who?” I pry. He exhales.

” I thought it was the demon princess,” There is a stabbing pain in my chest but I don’t show it.

” Um, ok,” I hum. Chewing my bottom l*p.

” But ever since that night I banished Farah-“

” Don’t tell me you still dream about her,” Jealousy laces my words and he smiles, cupping my face.

” The dreams are livid now, it was you, Amara,”

I boldly smile and he quickly k****s my lips.

” The warlock said your face was only clear because of the decisions I made, if I had fallen for that woman’s trap, I’d be lost, I’d have lost you forever, Amara,” He shakes his head, his hands gripping me tighter. I stand on my toes and connect our lips, his tongue invades my mouth and soon, our k**s starts to make me feel hot, and my shudders. When we pull away, he puts his forehead on mine and closes his eyes, inhaling my scent. The shrill of my phone takes us back to reality, I check it to see it’s my father calling, I frown, Mr. Adamson has been reaching out, he wants to meet but I’m not ready to yet, what they did to me still hurt. I can’t look at him or Lisa without being reminded of how awful they were to me

” Is it your dad again?” I nod and end the call.

” You’ll talk to him when you’re ready, don’t feel pressured,”

We continue our walk and talk about little things, we are laughing, I stop walking just to look at him, appreciate this man for the joy he brought to my heart. He is telling me something but can’t contain his laughter. I love his laughter, its music to my ears, and his smile, DAMN, I can watch him all day.

” I miss Drakon,” I tell him, I have not seen him very much but the few times I have, he’s always so sweet and snuggly against me like a puppy.

” What? I’m jealous,” He frowns, and I chuckle.

He takes steps further from me and swiftly changes into his mighty golden dragon, I smile and caress his scale.

‘ picnic?’

He lets out a low sound that I interpret as a yes, I mindlink Sandra, asking her to prepare a basket for us and enough meat for the dragon.

While the maids rush to us and prepare all we need for a picnic, I sit on the soft grass and the huge dragon lies next to me, its long warm body surrounding me, and his face in front of me on the grass. I’m caressing his scales and it’s growling lowly, enjoying my touch.

The servants, however, do seem wary as they serve us, and are more than happy to finish and leave, far away from the imposing dragon.

I’m eating my food and feeding some meat to Drakon, he enjoys it a lot.

‘ So do you hoard treasure as well?’ I ask

‘ No, my only treasure is you,’

‘ You cheesy,’ I nudge his body but it doesn’t even move.

‘ I only have one treasure, you,’

We continue to talk and at this point, I double over, laughing.

Months later

Today is our graduation day and we are so hyped! I got a graduation gift from Ahyan which was a brand new Tesla, my favorite car.

Sophie was the valedictorian, and delivered a powerful empowering speech, honestly, I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me but well, my best friend can be vocal about her body and feminism.

Happy is living the best life with Brian on an island in Bali, even Bella went along in hopes to forget Theo who is busy trying to win Queen Amora with as I quote ‘ charm,’ they are really happy together.

The bond I share with Ahyan has developed immensely, it’s profound and I’m honestly scared sometimes. The marking intensified our feelings, I can read his emotions and they are pure, at this point in life, I can say it’s almost perfect.

I feel hands around my waist and someone showering k****s on my neck. I smile and turn to him, wrapping my arms around his neck, and stand on my tiptoes to k**s him lightly.

” Congratulations, my baby,” Ahyan says, my toes hurt so I jump into his arms.

” Thank you, babe,”

” Mom is throwing you guys a party at the castle,” He informs me, the queen does love to host parties, just like his grandmother, maybe it’s a queen’s thing.

Ahyan puts me down and I hug Cole, he congratulates me before going to Sophie, she is complaining about something to one of the classmates but smiles when she notices Cole and runs into his arms.

We go to the castle after a quick lunch and change into our best outfits for the party. I’m wearing a sequin dress that leaves my back open and stilettos, the dress hugs my body well.

” Babe, let’s go,” I hear Ahyan call.

I come out of the closet and he smiles widely, his breath getting caught in his chest.

” How do I look?”

” So perfect, Like a meal,” He says, coming to k**s me and grab my a*s. I bite his neck and suck my mark on his neck, making him g***n in approval. My body is feeling hot now as he continues to k**s me but I stop him,

” People are waiting for us, my Prince” He growls, frustrated. I take his hand and we go outside. I’m surprised to see so many people in the ballroom. We walk in, and most of the people’s attention is on us now, others complimenting us.

” Wow, is that the dragon prince’s mate?”

” Yes, she’s beautiful,” some older woman answers, smiling at us, we nod politely to them.

” They even marked each other,”

A few comments are unpleasant, however, they are just envious. The women are gawking at my prince, and I hold her tighter, showing them that he is mine.

Ahyan is no ordinary man, he’s a man every woman desires but he is mine, it all seems surreal that I’m mated to him.

We reach where the king and Queen are and bow politely to them. They congratulate me and I thank them, even the princes and princess do the same even though Venice has been sad lately and doesn’t laugh as much as she used to anymore, she lost her spark.

The king asks what my plans are and I tell him that for now, I’m not making important decisions.

” But you are taking her to the Eastern Nation with you, Right?” Asks Queen Lucille.

” Yes, I want her to meet my other family,” He tells his mother who nods. We are supposed to travel to the dragon Nations and I can’t wait to have the best time with him.

The party carries on and everyone is happy and dancing. I’m dancing with my Prince and it seems like the whole world has faded into oblivion, it is only him and I at this moment.

I lay my head on his chest and he hugs me tenderly.
