Felix quickly stepped out but finished delivering his message. "Mr. Summers Senior says lunch is ready."

The bedroom door slammed shut as Xena sat on her bed, looking upset. Her hair was dripping wet and wrapped in a towel. Though nothing was really exposed, she felt violated.

She believed this kind of scene was meant for a husband's eyes only, not Felix's. If she had known Curtis had invited Felix for lunch, she would never have chosen this time to shower.

With the female housekeeper and Curtis being her own family, she felt safe enough to leave her door ajar. After all, none of them would enter without her permission. Yet, this had led to this embarrassing scene.

"That damn jerk!" Xena cursed, seething at the thought of Felix seeing her fresh from the shower. 2

Ten minutes later, Xena came downstairs wearing overly modest clothing that covered everything possible. 1

"Xena, are you going out?" Curtis asked, confused since she had agreed to have lunch at home.

"No," she replied curtly.

Only Felix understood her meaning, though he found it somewhat amusing. He could not believe she was this upset when she had only revealed her cleavage and legs just now. "Grandpa, why didn't you tell me you invited Felix?" Xena asked.

Curtis sighed, clearly aware that their fake relationship was not improving. "With such good news, of course, your boyfriend should be here to celebrate," Curtis insisted. Knowing Curtis' stubbornness, Xena gave up arguing.

"Felix!" Curtis raised his glass with a bright smile and explained, "Xena has done extraordinarily well. After her report in Yartford, Lord Hector himself confirmed that headquarters had approved her promotion. In one month, she'll officially become a Warlady!" Pride shone in Curtis's eyes as he continued, "She'll be the first Warlady in Dragonia's history! She'll stand equal with the Four Great Warlords, maintaining command of the Phoenix Legion while also governing three provinces. Isn't that impressive?" "Yes. Very impressive," Felix agreed politely, knowing this would only make Xena more arrogant. Nonetheless, it did not matter to him,

"Cheers!" Curtis exclaimed.

After a toast, Xena focused on eating, clearly wanting to avoid conversation.

"By the way, Felix," Curtis added, "Xena's moving to Canraville tomorrow to prepare for her new position. You should go with her. I know you don't have any real work keeping you in Avesburgh."

"What?" Xena protested before Felix could respond. "Grandpa, why does he need to come to Canraville?"

Curtis' expression turned stern. "Don't be ridiculous! He's your boyfriend. You can't have a long-distance relationship. You agreed to date for a month, so do it properly, especially now that you're becoming a Warlady." Taking a deep breath, Xena conceded, knowing she could not win against Curtis. "Fine, I have no objections."

She thought it might be good for Felix to see just how powerful her new position would be. Then, when their month was up, he could leave without making a scene or begging Curtis for another chance.

Felix had no objections either. After all, Curtis had the final say. "Yes, Mr. Summers Senior, I'll do as you suggest."

After finishing the delicious meal, Felix made sure to compliment the cooking.
