The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 357
Chapter 357
Larry frowned deeply. The middle-aged man was definitely not joking. He seemed to expect that his employer would be served.
Dreamscape was holding a concert in the provincial capital on the following night. Considering that, he had heard that many influential figures were already arriving in town, some of whom could rival Xena's status and even look down on her.
If Xena were promoted to a Great Warlord, her status would rise even further, but for now, she still held the title of goddess of war.
Hence, Larry knew he had to change his approach to the man before him. "Sir, could you do me a favor? It's really not easy to have the goddess of war here. I'm begging you."
Having big names dine in his restaurant was undoubtedly good as it showed his food's popularity. However, he wouldn't be allowed to publicize it, so it wouldn't bring the publicity that Xena's presence would bring.
The middle-aged man sneered, refusing to back down. "I can't grant that favor. My patience is limited. You have five more minutes to think it over. If you still refuse to back down, you'll just have to deal with the consequences."
Just as Larry was feeling frantic, a Range Rover pulled up, making him even more anxious. He knew it was Felix's car. He would have gone out to confidently greet Felix if it had been earlier. However, with a troublemaker in the mix, he worried that Felix would get angry, which might jeopardize Xena's visit.
With a heavy heart, he approached Felix.
"Why do you seem so unhappy on this occasion, Mr. Laird?" Felix asked.
Though Larry wore a smile, Felix could see the worry in his eyes.
"Mr. Zeller, I... I really can't bring myself to say it," Larry said.
Just then, the middle-aged man approached and bowed to Felix. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Zeller!"
The sudden scene left Larry's mouth agape in shock. What was happening? Why was a man without regard for Xena Summers, the goddess of war, bowing to Felix?
Felix looked equally puzzled. He asked, "Do we know each other?"
The middle-aged man's demeanor had shifted from arrogance to humility. "I'm one of Mr. Zimmerman's subordinates. I've seen you in Yartford."
Mr. Zimmerman? Felix thought for a moment before responding, "George Zimmerman?"

Felix smiled. "So that fellow is in Canraville, too? Oh, I forgot that tomorrow night is Dreamscape's concert. He can't miss that. Is he dining here as well?"
The middle-aged man quickly replied, "Mr. Zimmerman had dinner here last year and really enjoyed a few dishes, so he wanted to dine here tonight. But..."
Connecting the dots with Larry's distress, Felix understood what was going on. "Tell George not to cause any trouble! He can come back tomorrow if he wants to eat here. I have something important to take care of tonight." Dragonspine was a matter Felix did not want to complicate. On top of that, he had made a promise to Larry, and he intended to keep that promise. Besides, Xena was a handful. If someone else caused a scene, it would cost him a lot. "Alright, I understand, Mr. Zeller."
Watching the middle-aged man leave, Larry couldn't help but gulp repeatedly, feeling overwhelmed. He seemed to finally grasp just how terrifying the man in front of him truly
was.
He could make Vincent come over with just a phone call and set up a meeting with Xena within minutes. On top of that, he had effortlessly sent away an unknown big shot who had just appeared. Larry didn't know how to describe what he was feeling. "Thank you! I really didn't know what to do just now, Mr. Zeller!" Larry exclaimed.
