The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 359
Chapter 359
In a bedroom of the villa, Felix furrowed his brow deeply. He had been checking Leslie's pulse for a long time, but he couldn't sense any abnormalities in her body. He was at a loss about why she had fainted. "Could it really be a toxin I've never encountered before? Even Mr. Hoffman can't do anything about it? How can I possibly resolve this?" he mused aloud as he felt his anxiety grow.
The nine fellow apprentices were like family to him, and seeing Leslie collapse in front of him caused him to feel immense pain.
Just then, Leslie opened her eyes, managing a weak smile. "Did I faint? How long has it been?"
"It's been half an hour," Felix replied.
"That's longer than before. At first, it was just a bit of dizziness, but now it's half an hour. If this continues, I might not wake up at all the next time I faint."
Leslie was undeniably beautiful. Her short hair accentuated her delicate and refined appearance, bringing out the fairness of her skin. Her words and expressions stirred a deep sense of affection in Felix.
"Leslie, did Mr. Hoffman say anything about how to save you? I really have no clue. I've checked you thoroughly already but found nothing."
Hearing that, she turned her head away shyly, her cheeks flushed. "Actually, I didn't want to look for you because I know you wouldn't want to help me using Mr. Hoffman's method.
"What are you talking about?" Felix was furious. "If there's a way, I'll do anything to save you! How could I not help you?"
He had prepared himself for something difficult, realizing that Leslie implied the solution would be extremely challenging.
"Do you really want to know?" Leslie asked.
Looking at Leslie, Felix's eyes were filled with unwavering determination. "Yes! No matter how complicated it is, I'll save you."
Leslie slowly sat up, still a bit hesitant. She lowered her head and continued, "Mr. Hoffman said the poison in me is very unique. It's somewhat similar to Damiana Sap, but it has its differences. The only way to cure it is to follow the nature of the poison itself. Do you understand?"
It was similar to Damiana Sap? Felix was dumbfounded. Wasn't that a poison that had

aphrodisiac properties? How could it be related to this situation?
"What do you mean?" Felix asked.
Leslie rolled her eyes at him. " tool! I can't believe you haven't figured it out,
considering you're Mr. Hoffman's most accomplished medical student."
Seeing Felix still looking confused, Leslie had no choice but to explain, "I need to find a man, or else the toxins in my body won't be released!
"According to Mr. Hoffman's calculations, every time I faint, the time between episodes will increase by several folds. In three days, I could fall into a deep sleep for several years- or maybe forever."
In an instant, Felix stood up, his face filled with disbelief. "This... this is impossible! I can't do that, Leslie!"
Leslie, who had been feeling shy, instantly had a cold demeanor. She walked toward the door, saying, "Fine, I'll leave. I, Leslie Brown, will not randomly find a man just to save my life. Remember to prepare a good grave for me. Don't forget that I was once your fellow apprentice."
Just as she reached the door, Felix grabbed her arm. "Leslie, if that's really the case, then I'm willing to help you."
She turned around as a single tear escaped her eye. "Are you sure you aren't forcing yourself?"
In the next moment, Felix swept her into his arms. "Not forced at all. In a way, you're already my woman. However, I still need to take care of some matters."
After some time of tossing around, Leslie put on her clothes again.
"I feel like you're even more charming now, Leslie," Felix said.
