Felix's lips curled into a slight smile. It was exactly as he had anticipated.

He picked up the bowl he had prepared earlier and placed it by Zane's mouth. Then, he gently patted Zane's back three times with his right hand.

On the last pat, Zane surprisingly opened his mouth and expelled something into the bowl.

To the astonishment of Gilbert and Jane, Zane laid back down and fell asleep again.

"All done."

"All done?" The couple stared wide-eyed, unable to comprehend the unbelievable turn of events.

It wasn't until Felix approached them with the bowl and pointed to its contents that they understood.

"This bug is the reason for your son's condition." Felix showed them the bowl.

They looked down to see a white, worm-like creature in the bowl, resembling a dead earthworm, completely still.

"This creature is extremely rare. It's called a Snowbug. I won't go into the details, but when it encounters a human, it will actively burrow into their body without leaving any wounds. "Once inside, the Snowbug will only be awake for about five minutes each day, which is when your son makes those noises. It's a form of self-protection for the Snowbug

"For the rest of the day, the Snowbug remains asleep, and by then, it can't be detected, no matter how skilled the healer is or how advanced the technology is."

After explaining, Felix asked, "When you went on that trip, did you go to any snowy mountains?"

Gilbert felt a chill run down his spine. Felix was truly impressive.

"Yes. We did climb a snow mountain," he answered.

Nodding, Felix handed over the bowl.

"Just throw it in the trash. Mr. Murphy, can you pass me the Lovefruit now?" he asked.

"Of course! Thank you so much, Dr. Zeller." Gilbert passed him the herb.

Once he received the Lovefruit and confirmed it was genuine, a smile spread across Felix's face.

With the addition of Bluesand, he now had two types of herbs, leaving him with just seven more to collect out of the nine he needed. While there was still a way to go, it was a positive development. 1 Moreover, he had received news from Kane regarding two more herbs, which Felix had personally instructed to acquire and confirm.

It was already past 2:00 am when they returned to Tabiner Bay.

As they approached the villa, they found the road blocked with armed guards stationed everywhere and a security line set up.

"I live inside. Can I go in

Felix asked.

The officer in charge was surprised to see anyone at this hour, especially since the Tabiner Bay villas had just opened and few had been sold.

"The Phoenix Legion under Lady Summers is on a mission. Please leave!"

"Xena again?" Felix frowned but said nothing, slowly backing away.

There was no way he was going to wait here. If he wanted to get in, there was no way anyone would notice him.

As Felix stepped back, Belle arrived at the security line, and a vehicle pulled up.

The car door opened, and Xena stepped out.

"What's the situation?" she asked.

Belle's expression was serious.

"Milady! We have confirmed that the Super S-rank wanted criminal, Nocturno, has taken a child hostage, threatening to kill him if he doesn't see you, so we haven't dared to act rashly!"

"So it was Nocturno!" Xena felt a sense of urgency. This was no ordinary wanted criminal. She didn't have absolute confidence, especially with a hostage involved.

"Keep your guards up. I will go meet Nocturno."
