The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Husband 572
Chapter 572
"What brings you to Azuria?" Nala asked.
Even though Felix remained silent, Nala kept talking tirelessly, almost as if she were speaking to herself. Her demeanor was entirely different from the impression she had given before she was practically unrecognizable. "Are you truly not considering returning to the Greene family? You can't begin to imagine the power they hold in Dragonia.
"With your background, if you went back now, the Greene family would undoubtedly welcome you. With their formidable support, your future path would be incredibly smooth. Trust me," Nala said.
At that moment, footsteps finally echoed from outside. Felix silently thanked the heavens -if they hadn't come, he might've been tempted to plug his ears.
""Who dares to hit my men?"
A middle-aged man strode in, flanked by seven bodyguards dressed in black. Hands in his pocket, his swagger was practically oozing arrogance.
"I did," Felix said.
Julian Hale let out a derisive snort, his face full of disdain.
"Do you really think you can rescue Lady Nala? I've shown her the utmost respect, giving her an entire day to decide whether she'd like to spend a night with me. And here you are, making this situation take a turn for the worse." Felix, uninterested in wasting words, pulled out his phone. "I'm making a call. Afterward, Nala and you will leave. Understand?"
Julian burst out laughing, doubling over as if he had just heard the funniest joke of his life.
"One phone call to make me, Julien Hale, leave? Do you think this is Dragonia? Absolutely ridiculous!"
Felix had already dialed his contact. Without batting an eye, he said, "This is Caleb Rothwell's number. Whether you take this call is up to you."
He tossed the phone over. Julian's smug grin vanished in an instant, his hands flailing as if the phone were scalding hot.
The reason was simple-it was Caleb Rothwell, In Azuria, anyone who was anyone knew his name. If someone didn't, they might as well not exist. "President Caleb..."

Though the conversation on the other end was haudible, it left Julian trembling. He dropped to his knees, cold sweat dripping from his forehead.
"I understand, President Caleb. I really do."
Shuffling on his knees, Julian carefully handed the phone back to Felix with both hands. His head hit the floor repeatedly as he pleaded, 'I was wrong! I truly know I was wrong!" "Leave!" Felix commanded.
What Julian did afterward didn't concern Felix. The matter was resolved, and that was all that mattered to him.
Nala, still seated, lightly applauded, and her eyes sparkled with amusement.
"Impressive! You even know Caleb Rothwell, the wealthiest man in Azuria. You've certainly opened my eyes. As my husband, you're more than qualified."
Felix ignored her entirely, walking briskly toward the exit.
"In such a hurry, Felix? By the way, is the mole on your left hip still there?"
Felix froze in his tracks, turning to shoot her a sharp glare. "How do you know about that?" he asked.
It couldn't have been Yvonne. Given the circumstances during their encounter, she wouldn't have noticed or remembered such a detail.
Nala stood, sauntering over with a sly smile. "Curious? Take a guess."
Felix clenched his fists momentarily before turning back around. "Say it or don't. I don't care."
What was that attitude? Even Nala's composure faltered. She stomped her foot in frustration.
"Your biological father, Victor Greene, told me. He asked me to act as an intermediary to persuade you to meet him-just once. It would be your last meeting."
His dying father? How interesting. Unable to rely on his own family, Victor had managed to bring in someone like Nala to mediate. His connections truly were far-reaching.
Felix continued walking, but Nala's next words made him stop dead in his tracks. "Victor said if you meet him, he'll give you the bone you loved to play with as a child." Today's Bonus Offer
