The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
With Husband 583
Chapter 583
Malcolm was dead! He was the eldest son of the Crayden family-one of the Eight Great Martial Families. Was he really dead? Besides, Felix announced it as if he had witnessed it himself.
Logically, this should have caused massive waves in their circles. Yet, they had not heard a whisper of it till meeting Felix today. George was startled when they reached the entrance.
"Who are you waiting for, Dad?" The middle-aged man nearby was George's father, Reginald Zimmerman. After hearing George, he turned and hurried over.
"Felix, you're here already!" Reginald exclaimed.
Felix nodded. "Yes, Uncle Reginald. Were you here waiting for me?"
"Of course! This little rascal didn't even tell me you'd arrived."
His sincerity was obvious. George explained, "Dad, I saw you were busy entertaining your friends, so I thought I'd welcome Mr. Zeller myself."
Though pleased with his son's relationship with Felix, Reginald knew proper etiquette was important. After all, Felix's support would decide whether George could become the future head of the Zimmerman family. "I'm glad you're here. Oh, why is everyone out here?" Reginald asked.
Noticing a car approaching, George grew anxious. But Felix smiled and said, "A friend of mine is coming, Uncle Reginald. Please, don't let us keep you."
Hearing Felix's words, Reginald agreed and returned inside. The car George had spotted stopped. A young man stepped out, wearing sunglasses and sporting striking red hair.
"Mr. Zeller, this is Malcolm's second younger brother, Axel Crayden." The Craydens certainly had interesting names.
"Haha! Meeting you in person feels way better than just hearing about you! You're Felix Zeller, right?" Pushing his sunglasses up, Axel greeted Felix like an old friend.
"You came here just to see me. Why is that?"
While snapping his fingers, Axen's smile widened. "I just heard you were coming to Yartford and wanted to thank you in person! If not for you, who knows how many more years my insufferable brother would have lived?" Felix was dumbfounded as he shot George and Ryan a look. Was this really Malcolm's
brother?
"Are you surprised? In our family, there's no taboo about someone's death! When Malcolm was alive, his presence was suffocating. He would beat and scold us as he pleased. Now

that he's dead, we can compete fairly again. Shouldn't I thank you for this?"
From the look in his eyes, Felix could tell Axel was speaking sincerely. But he was not quite sure how he should react to that.
"Well, now that I've thanked you, I'll be going now!"
As Axel turned, Felix heard a message from him through telepathy. "But be careful, Felix! At first, our father and elders did not really care when Malcolm died since we could not challenge the Greene family. "But I heard that your biological father, Victor Greene, has passed. His death might cause my family to seek revenge. Heh! Good luck to you."
Victor was dead? The timing did match what Lemuel had mentioned. But Victor's death did not affect Felix even the slightest bit. To him, Victor was just a stranger.
The three entered the grand hall. The tables were neatly arranged, and many guests were already seated.
"Mr. Zeller, our table's up in front. Everything's been prepared."
