Their appearance at the front table seemed conspicuous. That was because even the youngest person seated there was in their 40s.

Though Felix wanted to invite Madeline and Luke over, they declined. Sometimes, they had to know their place to avoid seeming presumptuous.

Just as they sat down, an older woman appeared.

"Aunt Victoria!" George stood and bowed respectfully.

"The head of the Zimmerman family hasn't officially announced who their heir would be. But George's uncle, Xavier Zimmerman, basically runs things now. His wife, Victoria Morgan, is quite the shrewd operator," Ryan whispered to Felix. Felix stayed quiet. When George asked for his help, he could already guess this involved family politics.

"George, is this the guy who caused trouble to the Walsh family from Aleshire, Felix Zeller? I hear you're good friends with him, aren't you?"

"Yes, Aunt Victoria."

Since they were not allies, Felilx saw no need to be overly polite to her. Besides, the look in Victoria's eyes showed she was clearly here to trouble him. Sure enough, Victoria's smile faded after looking around.

"Look around the room. Don't you know where young people should be sitting? Yet you're bringing your friends here in front of all these guests. Are you really trying to make me scold you?"

"Sure, but that's if Uncle Reginald tells me himself." George was relieved when Felix spoke up. If not, George would have been humiliated.

"Aunt Victoria, Mr. Zeller invited people from Moonshadow Alliance to Dad's birthday. Are you sure you want to send him to the back tables?" George could not hold back. Victoria was being too blatant about her schemes.

When she heard him mentioning Moonshadow Alliance, Victoria put on an eerie smile. " Hah, as if he could invite them! So what if he could? Uncle Dominic has prepared quite a surprise for your dad."

She mused, "Did you guys think you could win against us with strategy? You're too naive! Your dad can barely breathe under our pressure. Who do you think you are?"
